Character: Estinien Wyrmblood ([personal profile] stardiving)
Badge/Gym Leader: Whitney/Plain Badge
Elite/Regular: Regular
Team: Iceheart (Alolan Ninetales, lvl 71), Temple (Corviknight, lvl 64), Cathedral (Bronzong, lvl 58), Ratatoskr (Flygon, lvl 66), Tree (Alolan Exeggutor, lvl 43)
Battle Details:
Estinien has heard stories of Whitney’s Miltank and intends to bring overwhelming force to try to beat her as quickly as possible before Rollout can wreck his team.

First off, vs Girafarig he will send out Tree, first using Confusion to get some setup going. Girafarig is much faster, so he’ll be using Stun Spore after that to slow it down a little, then using Dragon Hammer until one or the other faints--it’s a neutral hit, but powerful and a physical move taking advantage of Girafarig’s lower Defense stat. If Tree faints before Girafarig does, he’ll be sending out Ratatoskr to mop up with her Dragon type moves.

Versus Clefable, he’ll be sending out Temple. He just squeaks past Clefable in terms of base speed, and resists both Normal and Fairy type and can smack it around with Steel Wing. Between the type effectiveness and Temple’s level advantage, he’s hoping to get Clefable down without too much trouble.

Versus Miltank. Now this is the part he’s going to be extra cautious about. But instead of sending out one of his higher level Pokemon that have seen play in gym battles before, he’s sending out Cathedral, the wall-eyed bell. It’s slow, but its typing should play pretty well--it resists both Normal and Rock typing, which helps versus Rollout, and should Miltank have something like Fire Punch, its ability is Heatproof to protect from fire. Really the worst thing that could happen is a Ground or Fighting type move coming its way. The reason he wants to start with Cathedral is its move Heal Block, to stop Whitney from using Milk Drink for recovery. Then he’ll have it set up Future Sight, and start throwing around Heavy Slam. Should it get taken out, he’ll send out Iceheart to finish off the fight with Blizzard or Ice Beam.
