Character: Karako Pierot | [personal profile] hurricane_clown
Badge/Gym Leader: Bugsy | Hive Badge
Elite/Regular: Regular Team
Team: Honk!
Battle Details: Like last time, Karako is just sort of releasing Gigglesnarl into the ring and honking supportively and enthusiastically as the Pokemon battle. Gigglesnarl is overlevelled and actually pretty smart, because his first motto Cause Problems and his other is Battles are Fun(ny). He'll be starting with Fake Out because he's not stupid and follow with Hone Claws, then get down to business with Metal Claw--a move with a small chance of boosting his Attack (but also receiving STAB)--and Fury Swipes. Both of these moves benefit from his Tough Claws ability, but really he just likes to slice 'n dice his opponents. If he's really getting ahead as Pinsir is wearing down, he'll use Hone Claws another time in preparation for Heracross.

Also, he's holding an Oran Berry, because Karako has like 9324823 of them from when Gigglesnarl was a Meowth with Pickup.

He does not entirely understand Types yet (Chip has NOT helped in this capacity) so he'll be pretty taken aback when his super tough Soldier Purrbeast Warrior Cat Steel Cat is getting the heck knocked out of it by Bugsy's Heracross, but between the level difference and Attack/Damage boosts from Hone Claws and Tough Claws respectively, Gigglesnarl will try to inflict as much damage as possible with Metal Claw and Slash before he faints.

He'll be followed by Karako's OTHER Soldier Purrbeast Warrior Cat cat Pokemon, Shockfiend the Luxray. Similarly overlevelled, she's got Intimidate and will be leading with Electric Terrain, to be followed with a type-boosted Thunder Fang. And then another one, if need be.

Once it's down to Scizor, Shockfiend will... continue to use Electric Terrain boosted Thunder Fangs, and Bugsy will just have to deal with the fact that Steel type moves do half damage against her.

If this brute force strategy doesn't work, Karako will use his new Houndour Jhayke to try and Ember his way to victory, and he has a Gligar now... but literally everything that isn't a cat is level [low 20s or less] so.... yeah he's counting on Gigglesnarl and Shockfiend's instincts, experience, and love for using their claws and teeth, respectively.

Whether he wins or loses, though, this fight will LOOK a lot more impressive (read: violent) and Karako will be just as noisy, animated, and bloodthirsty excitable as he was during the battle with Falkner.

He will be less confused and disappointed by the lack of actual blood, though.
