Character: Greg Universe | cometkin Badge/Gym Leader: Chuck Elite/Regular: regular Team:Counting Stars (Clefairy 59) with Little Birdhouse (Chatot 57) as back-up. Battle Details: Greg has never, ever done a gym before. He barely does matches against trainers on the road. His pokemon level (very slowly) by playing with each other. But he knows that people like getting Fly as an egg move, so he's gonna get the HM for him and Rose's pokemon.
Greg sends out Counting Stars as his primary fighter for this match, since she's fairy and evidently Chuck's pokemon don't like that. She uses Disarming Voice, Psychic, and Moonblast mainly for offense, with Moonlight to restore her hit points. If she starts looking really low on hit points, Greg uses Healing Wish to switch her out for Little Birdhouse, who mostly uses Air Cutter for his attack. If he goes down, he can switch Counting Stars (who ought to be already healed) back in.
Character: Greg Universe | cometkin Badge/Gym Leader: Jasmine Elite/Regular: regular Team:Electric Youth (Toxtricity 56) and Monkey Wash (Mudsdale 74) with Private Dancer (Baile Oricorio 100) Battle Details: Greg had a plan for this. He looked up what Steel Pokemon were vulnerable to and evidently one of those thing is Electric and another is Fire. He was going to have Electric Youth as his main fighter with Private Dancer as his back-up, with the idea that if Electric Youth went down, he'd throw Private Dancer in and have them Revelation Dance as a Fire move in order to melt the Steel Pokemon.
But luckily for Greg, he wasn't the only person in line to challenge Jasmine that day and managed to watch the other challengers during their matches... which is how he learned that neither Magneton nor Steelix will take Electric damage.
Oops.
He took a sec to quickly look up what Magneton was vulnerable to, which turned out to be Ground among other things, then ran back to the caravan so he could un-hook Monkey Wash and bring him back for the match.
Which is a very long way to say that for the fight against Skarmory, Greg uses Electric Youth to Thundershock, Charge, and Discharge, but then he switches to Monkey Wash for Magneton for Bulldozing and Earthquakes. He'll then send out Private Dancer against Steelix with Revelation Dance as a Fire move... but since Steelix can hit Private Dancer where he's vulnerable with his Electric moves, he'll probably end up dragging Monkey Wash back out again to Bulldoze and Earthquake once more.
