Character: Ochako Uraraka | floatsaway Badge/Gym Leader: Falkner/Zephyr Badge Elite/Regular: Regular! Team:Here!! Ochako is going in with Parfait (Clefairy), Eclair (Meowstic), Thuban (Gabite), Almond (Pachirisu), Red Velvet (Rockruff), and Sorbet (Snom). Battle Details: Ochako has spent at least three weeks at the Trainer's School in Violet before thinking she may even have a shadow's of a chance at facing the leader. Cramming all that knowledge into her head and doing mock battles wasn't easy, but Ochako and her Pokemon are determined and won't go down without a fight!
Parfait (Clefairy)
Ochako is actually going to lead with her strongest/starter Pokemon in the battle, which she knows isn't the wisest move but one she feels is most effective. Why? Because Parfait comes with an abundance of status moves meant to hinder the opponent considerably. Employing the move Gravity (because of course) right from the start of the battle, Ochako is hoping to cripple those birds and make it so they can no longer fly and thus become slower and less agile on the ground. Plus, it gives Parfait a chance to begin stacking up on her own defenses.
She will literally become an impenetrable wall, using moves such as Charm, Minimize, and Defense Curl to avoid attacks and further weaken Falkner's birds. Furthermore, as she takes damage, Parfait will then heal herself with moves such as Life Dew and Moonlight and then begin to truly LASH OUT by using Stored Power. All those boosts and buffs from earlier?? They're helping boost not only her defenses, but her brute force as well.
If Parfait does get low on health, she'll spin the Metronome roulette as well, hoping to get something good. (Mods, you can employ this link if you'd like to surprise me with a Metronome move!)
Thuban (Gabite)
If Gravity is still in effect, Ochako will switch in Thuban. He's a strong Pokemon, her second strongest in fact, and can actually touch Falkner's birds with STAB ground moves while they're unable to fly. Sand Tomb to not only prevent switching out, but to do some decent chip damage, and Bulldoze for more oomph. He also knows Dragon Rage to do a set amount of damage as well as Dragonbreath for the chance to paralyze as well.
Thuban's weakness, however, is that he's also slightly disobedient to Ochako. Playful and fun-loving, he treats the battle as more of a game than anything really serious, and may not outright attack or try to befriend the other Pokemon on the field. Once the fighting really starts to happen, and he gets attacked a bit, he might change up his act, but...it's a true dice roll. He's here to have a good time and he's feeling so attacked right now. :(
Almond (Pachirisu)
Now, if/when Thuban goes down, or if Ochako has to switch him out, her next play will be to send in Almond. One of two Pokemon that Ochako has with a type advantage, but the other being incredibly underleveled...considering it was freshly caught. However! Though Almond is also a bit low-level, she is speedy and very agile. Banking on if Thuban was able to get any of Falnker's bird's paralyzed with Dragonbreath, she'll quickly deal the big damage with an Electro Ball. She'll also attempt at further lowering stats with Charm, and get through any accuracy-lowering moves with Swift, but will mostly be employing her electric moves, trying to get her own paralysis off with Spark.
If things start to get hairy, Almond will Endure a fatal hit, then use a final burst of courage and strength to nail a Quick Attack and hope to do more damage for the next in the lineup. She may be Docile, but even this little squirrel knows when to put up her dukes.
Eclair (Meowstic)
Oh, lawd, she comin'.
Eclair is, honestly...the scariest member of Ochako's team in that she is an absolute MENACE. Fiercely loyal to Ochako, despite her tsundere attitude, she is stubborn and loves to fight. Not only that, she has a very 'do or die' personality and doesn't tend to back down easily. Starting thing off, Eclair will use Fake Out to get that free hit off, then immediately go for the offensive. Her psychic powers have been boosted post-evolution, so she's going to use them quite a bit.
Psybeam is the main damaging move Eclair will use, as it deals good damage and has a chance to confuse the opponent as well. If the opponent does happen to get confused, she'll also star to Leer at them to lower their defenses...then hit them with a Sucker Punch when they manage to break through the confusion and strike back against her.
Red Velvet (Rockruff)
Good dog, best friend. Honestly, Ochako knows the little Rockruff is underleveled and not that strong at the moment, since she just got him recently, but she's giving him a chance to show his stuff regardless.
Mostly Red's doing to stack up on Double Team to boost his evasion and try to survive as long as possible. His only damaging move at the moment is Tackle, so while he's resilient to those birds' attacks, mostly...he's not expected to do much this time around. But any help is help, and Ochako will congratulate him and dote on him for what he can do.
Sorbet (Snom)
....She's here for moral support.
And to kiss boo-boos.
Ochako will not be using her in the fight, and if all her other Pokemon are defeated and Sorbet has to go in, she will forfeit. The little Snom is a level 3 baby and Ochako won't let her get utterly destroyed by Falkner's birds.
