Character: Jaskier | rollstoseduce Badge/Gym Leader: Jasmine for the Mineral badge Elite/Regular: Regular Team:Viola the Luxray (84), Holly the Oricorio (53 - yellow nectar has been used to changed her into Pom-Pom form aka Electric/Flying), Cotton the Altaria (67), Crocus the Exploud (48), Regina the Swanna (57), Dittany the Lapras (73). Battle Details: Jaskier loves the coast, but he's also the kind of guy that can't stay for too long at the same place. So even if he's super busy organizing the event, he decides to take a break on the Saturday before the auction and come by the gym to get his badge so he doesn't have to come back to Olivine soon. Between him having one less level of energy and Jasmine being so shy, the poor girl only gets a kiss on her hand and my lady leader with no winking! What a miracle!
►Vs Skarmory Jaskier opens with Viola the Luxray, who resists both of Skarmory's types. Combine that with his Intimidate ability, and this lion won't be getting much damage done to him today. After a Leer to drop the birdie's defense, he proceeds to Discharge the hell out of it - the combo of STAB, almost 30 extra levels and that Leer should make it an easy fight, but if someone needs to come up clean up, then Holly the Oricorio will do. She isn't as high-level as Viola, but she's taken the yellow nectar so she now resists Skarmory's types as well and makes Teeter Dance Electric-type, plus Roost for recovery.
►Vs Magneton Cotton the Altaria may be a birdie, but her Dragon-type makes her receive neutral damage from both Steel and Electric. So Jaskier has taught her Flamethrower for this occasion, since like it happened with Bugsy's Scizor, he doesn't have great counters for Steel-types. Cotton will try to put Magneton to sleep with Sing and use a couple of Agility to help her evade some damage before using her newly acquired fire attack to melt the damn magnet. If backup is needed, then Crocus the Exploud will come out. He is a few levels under Magneton, but he also takes neutral damage from him and has the ability Soundproof to stop some of Magneton's Metal Sound and Supersonic. In fact, he'll be using Supersonic himself before spamming Fire Fang.
►Vs Steelix Look. Look. Jaskier is a man that likes variety in his life, and the reason why he's been spamming Perish Song lately is that he didn't have good counters for the gym leader's aces. This time, however, he thinks he may have a chance, so he's going to at least try something different. Regina the Swanna has three levels less than Steelix, but she is also immune to Ground, resists Steel and brings STAB that Steelix is weak to. After setting up Tailwind and Aqua Ring, she'll go to town with Surf. And if it turns out she isn't enough after all... then yeah, Dittany the Lapras will come out, try to finish Steelix with Surf as well but still won't hesitate to drop Perish Song if needed in the end. Luckily her type combo makes her neutral to both of Steelix's types and she has Confuse Ray to keep the big serpent at bay, so hopefully -for once- it won't come down to the song of death.
