Character: Yuzu Hiiragi | songstressedout Badge/Gym Leader: Hive Badge/Bugsy Elite/Regular: REGULAR TEAM Team:Here Battle Details: Let’s face it… Yuzu is overleveled for this gym. Two Pokemon on her team even have type advantage against bugs… and to finish it off, she’s switching Schubert the Garchomp into her team as well (the true pain came from switching around the html code, but whatever it looks good), and he knows Flamethrower! Courtesy of a quick warp to Goldenrod to get that TM, of course. Still, she’s not coming in without a plan… she’s still gonna have a strategy, even if she does end up stomping the battle in the end due to Bugsy being insanely counterpicked.
Pinsir: Yuzu will start out with Solo the Staraptor. Seeing as how Pinsir is a pure bug-type, she’ll aim to finish this quickly with Solo’s powerful Brave Bird. If that doesn’t outright take Pinsir out right away, she’ll have Solo finish off the rest of whatever Pinsir has left with Brave Bird, generally playing keep-away as well seeing as how Staraptor has the advantage of being in the air.
Heracross: Soprano the Altaria will take this next part of the battle, seeing as how she’s the most suited to taking on the Bug/Fighting Type. Fortunately, the level difference means that she doesn’t even need to set up Tailwind. Soprano will use moves like Moonblast and Fly to take down Heracross, seeing as how Fairy type moves are strong against Fighting types.
Scizor: Schubert the Garchomp’s time, and… Flamethrower. That’s it, just Flamethrower. Here’s a visual representation of what happens when a Scizor gets hit by Flamethrower. There is a massive level difference, Schubert is probably much faster, and Scizor only needs to get hit once by a Fire-type move and that Scizor will not be having a good day.
