SEVERELY backdated gym challenges don't mind me

Character: Hawks | [profile] feathers_fly
Badge/Gym Leader: Chuck, for the Storm Badge!
Elite/Regular: Regular
Team: Hawks' roster
Battle Details: Hawks is here to get that sweet, sweet Fly HM, and nothing will stop him. Granted, since Hawks' team is exclusively birds, almost all of which are flying types that are super-effective against fighting types, and over-leveled at that, this isn't even close to a fair match.

Hawks' opening with Tso, his Decidueye, who is a flying/ghost type immune to fighting moves, is borderline disrespectful in how Chuck's slim chances are essentially pared down to none. Not that Hawks behaves disrespectfully in any way; he's entirely professional here. But the choice alone shows that, even with the overwhelming advantages he already has, he's taking no chances whatsoever on not getting this critical HM and isn't looking to waste a second in getting his hands on it. He'll let Tso sweep Chuck's entire team, although of course if Tso did somehow run into any difficulties, there's a whole team of birds still waiting in the wings. (<-- Now this pun is disrespectful)

Character: Hawks | [profile] feathers_fly
Badge/Gym Leader: Jasmine, for the Mineral Badge!
Elite/Regular: Regular
Team: Hawks' roster
Battle Details: Unlike with Chuck, Jasmine's going to be a little trickier, in that steel naturally resists most of the moves Hawks' pokémon have access to. Sure, he's still got a significant level advantage on her regular team, but Hawks still wants to use some strategy here.

He'll lead with Yakitori, his Fearow - who happens to know Drill Run, a ground-type move. That should definitely get him through at least one member of Jasmine's team - possibly more. Then he'll bring out Roast, his Baile Oricorio, whose Revelation Dance is a powerful special (bypassing the high physical defense of steel types) super effective fire-type move. Between the two of them, they should have enough firepower (the puns just keep coming) to take down Jasmine's team of three.
