Character: Louie Duck | [personal profile] talkyourwayout
Badge/Gym Leader: Fog/Morty
Elite/Regular: Regular
Team: On-hand team, noting that these three Pokemon will be the ones he defaults to using. Someday I'll make the roster images actual links for these things...
Battle Details: First off, this is a little forward-dated! That said, as far as the team's levels and attacks go, I'm of course going with where things currently stand.

Louie's striving for more balance in his roster's levels, but that doesn't mean he's about to go into this under-prepared. It just means his strategy needs to be adapted to the team he's been training up! As such, Louie is taking a Rain Dance team to a Ghost fight.

Cavendish's rain dance along with Tesla's electric terrain will will be set up as soon as possible, with Louie refreshing these effects as needed whenever it's safe. The electric terrain is intended to keep his team awake in the face of any hypnosises, while the rainfall is to allow Cavendish's hurricane attack to be a guaranteed hit, as well as to power up Ruby's already-formidable Crabhammer attack.

Honestly, this gym battle is going to be a bit lighter on strategy than most of Louie's gym battles thus far, and heavier on raw power. He's also putting less emphasis on getting a STAB type advantage-- Though make no mistake, he'll be using Swords Dance-boosted Night Slash and Crunch moves with Ruby, especially if the going gets tough.

And while the type advantage thing is more about working with what he's got in terms of viable Pokemon, the fact that Louie's focusing on stronger attacks - albeit ones he's having his team further power-up - is because he's eager to get this badge obtained ASAP. He's not rushing it, really, but here's the thing: After this defeating this gym, Louie will be hitting the road with a traveling companion! The teen's only had his team to talk to for months now, so he's very happy-- This is relevant to challenging the gym because when Louie sets his mind to getting a task done efficiently, as he has here, he tends to really put in the effort with determination.
