Character: Keith | [personal profile] tempredmental

Badge/Gym Leader: Plain Badge / Whitney
Elite/Regular: Regular

Battle Details: Keith is a little nervous about this one because he doesn't have much to combat this team directly. He's hoping he made some good picks.

Against the Girafig, he'll send in his Absol first, using moves like Sucker Punch, Bite, and Night Slash. As a back up, if needed, he has his Houndoom come in with Foul Play.

Against the Clefable, he goes with Doublade first and sticks with Iron Head as much as he can. He has his Corviknight with Steel Wing for a back up.

And against Miltank, he brings in Hawlucha. This Pokémon has the most fighting moves out of his roster. If he needs the back up, he ends up with Lycanroc, just hoping that the wolf-type's resistance to Normal moves will help and that Miltank doesn't have High Horsepower.

Badge/Gym Leader: Hive Badge / Bugsy

Battle Details: Keith definitely knows that bugs are weak to fire and flying, so he packs his team. They're probably a little over-leveled, but, not only were these the ones suited for it, they were the ones who wanted to do the battle. Some had been part of his failed first Zephyr attempt and were looking for redemption, especially since they'd been affected by the Snorunts at the time and ended up all lazy and untrainable for a month.

That said, Red goes first with something to prove. The Torracat doesn't care if he's not an Incineroar, and loves using his fire moves. Keith has him focus on those, but he won't hold back on having Red use a Bite or a Scratch if he needs to. Keith'll have him throw a Swagger or two in there as well. He knows Red isn't afraid to take a stronger hit if it means getting his opponent all Confused.

Phoenix the Talonflame's Flame Body makes it hard for physical attackers to not get burned when they hit. If he needs to Brave Bird, he'll do it for the team. Keith generally tries not to let him do it unless absolutely necessary. For the most part, Keith will focus on those flying moves with the Talonflame. If HP gets low, Keith will have him use Roost.

Fiesty's favorite move is Blaze Kick and he uses a lot. Like... a lot. He gets miffed when Keith tells him to use something else. But he does like to Bulk Up and do Fire Spin. Keith uses Fire Spin any time he feels a need to hold an opponent in place for a few turns.

Devildog the Houndoom will be told to use Fire Fang instead of Thunder Fang, and Keith will definitely focus on attempting to use Detect to his advantage.

Firedancer is back after her race with a giant emo Zapdos, and is ready to battle! Keith will focus on using Quick Attack to stay ahead of the opponent if they're fast, but also Ember, Fire Spin, and Flame Charge most of the time. Keith will have her use Agility to avoid being caught up in sticky web threads!

Antok the Corviknight is pretty large, like his namesake. He's another Brave Bird user, and Keith will hold back on that as long as possible. Instead, he'll use Iron Defense to keep the bird safe, and focus on Peck and Pluck as much as possible.
