Character: Minfilia Warde | prayreturn Badge/Gym Leader: Falkner, Violet City Elite/Regular: Regular Team:In her gym log! Battle Details: So. Minfilia is going to be avoiding the weird swarms of the beginning of June by finally going after the gym. She's been training for this! It's quite clear that she's studied up on battling as best she can at the school, alongside fighting the Pokemon both in Violet City and the routes nearby... her steely resolve shows, even if she is still an inexperienced trainer in the end.
Her lead is a level 27 Pachirisu. Now, why would she be doing this? Setup. She does not expect said Pachirisu to survive long. She's just hoping for him to get a Nuzzle off, perhaps a daring Baby-Doll Eyes. But, really, he's just there for paralysis and then Volt Switch.
Switching to her female Meowstic, Emerald. Now, with Emerald, she hopes to use a mix of Sucker Punch and Charge Beam. She is aware brute force won't win, however - and thus, before that, she will get her Meowstic to use either Reflect or Light Screen, depending on what kind of attack Falkner uses more.
While this is her plan, she knows when to switch out Emerald - and that is Honchkrow. Instead of going for her ace, her Audino, she will instead switch to her Trapinch. Whom she will get to set up Sandstorm, and then... Dig? She knows that doesn't hit birds, right? She does. But she's aiming for Dig to miss... so she can use Crunch to hit an unsuspecting Pokemon.
Once this is known, it likely won't work much. But then her Trapinch will be switching to simply trying to either bite them as they get close, or using Gust to disrupt the air.
After Trapinch faints, and if Emerald faints, Moenbryda has a plan. And that plan is her TM-powered Audino. In fact, she waited for the seasonal TMs to change, but none of them aided with this gym match. So, instead, she's got her Audino who'll use Dazzling Gleam and Hyper Voice from a distance, and Thunder Punch up close. If things get too dangerous and she feels her Audino can handle a little bit of healing, she'll use Life Dew.
Her final two Pokemon are last resorts. Her other Meowstic, male, is there for Sucker Punch and screens. And her Feraligatr from that weird Fourth Wall stuff is there for Ice Fang. While she is training them in more tactics, her Feraligatr is still learning to listen to her, and her male Meowstic isn't much of a fighter.
