Character: Narancia Ghirga | orangesmith Badge/Gym Leader: Blaine | Volcano Badge Elite/Regular: Regular Team:Miele, Patata, Lattuga, and Volare Battle Details: It's Narancia's first gym challenge since before the Outworlder Tournament, and he's ready to show off what he learned from that tournament and his loss during it! He even dressed up for the gym in this jacket and goggle set!
VS Magcargo:
Narancia's leading with Patata, and immediately opens with Stealth Rock just to cause trouble for any switch attempts Blaine might make. This is immediately followed up by High Horsepower, aiming directly for that x4 weakness to Ground in order to get the Magcargo out of the way.
Narancia did account for the chance of Burn by giving Patata (and Lattuga) a Rawst Berry to hold, but unfortunately he didn't account for the risk of the Magcargo using Earth Power. If Earth Power (or Yawn) is used, he'll immediately switch out to Lattuga and have him use Rock Slide. If the Magcargo starts getting too many stat ups through stuff like Shell Smash, Harden, and Amnesia, then Narancia will have Lattuga use Roar to force a switch or, if Patata is still out, use Dig in hopes of avoiding an attack on the underground turn.
VS Magmortar
Now that the Fire/Rock Type is out of the way, Narancia is free to have either Patata or Lattuga (depending on who's out) use Sandstorm for even more chip damage on top of the Stealth Rock damage! From there he'll immediately go to Lattuga if he isn't already out and have the Aerodactyl use Supersonic once before, whether or not the Supersonic hit, going into Rock Slide with the occasional reuse of Sandstorm if it wears off or the Magmortar uses Sunny Day.
If Lattuga starts getting too low health or is hit with Confuse Ray, then he'll switch to Miele and finish up with High Horsepower. If Miele gets burned on contact with the Magmortar via Flame Body, well, the Ursaluna has Guts so that's actually a good thing.
VS Rapidash
At this point Narancia is going to switch out to Miele if he isn't already out and just use Headlong Rush followed by High Horsepower to try and finish up. If Miele gets burned, again, Guts turns that into a good thing via an attack boost.
If Patata, Lattuga, and Miele all get too low health for some reason, then he has Volare on backup with Dark Pulse. Hopefully it doesn't come down to that, but the Houndoom's there just in case.
