Character: Ryou Bakura | rolltoavoidpossession Badge/Gym Leader: Whitney | Plain Badge Elite/Regular: Regular Team:Banshee, Wight, Hinotama, Haunt, Will-o-Wisp Battle Details: So Ryou has decided to take on Whitney with a team of nothing but Ghost types, which should be interesting considering that Normal types are immune to Ghost attacks and vice versa.
VS Girafarig
Ryou is opening with his Yamask Haunt, who will immediately use Will-o-Wisp to try and set up a burn on the Girafarig. Then, regardless of if Will-o-Wisp connected or not, he will have Haunt use Dark Pulse to try and get the Girafarig down as soon as possible. If the Girafarig uses Odor Sleuth or Haunt gets too badly injured to continue, then Ryou will switch to Wight and have him use Power Gem, with Strength Sap available to heal up and reduce Girafarig's attack if needed.
VS Clefable Why do you have a Clefable Whitney, that's a Fairy type-
At this point Ryou will switch to Banshee and have her lead with Taunt to lock up all of Clefable's status moves for the next few turns. Then he'll immediately switch Banshee out and switch in Hinotama, who will lead in with one use of Double Team, followed by Confuse Ray and Shadow Ball. His goal here is to try and prevent Metronome nonsense as much as he can, which, considering its random nature, is kind of terrifying.
VS Miltank
It's time for the infamous Miltank.
Ryou's switching in his Pumpkaboo Will-o-Wisp, who is going to open with Worry Seed to change Miltank's ability from what very well could have been Scrappy to Insomnia, keeping it from being able to potentially bypass Ghost's immunity to Normal attacks. He'll then do a little more setup with Confuse Ray (to reduce the odds of Rollout hitting) and Leech Seed (for some minor healing and chip damage) before going in with Seed Bomb. If Will-o-Wisp is hit with Attract or gets too badly hurt to continue, then Ryou will switch in Banshee and have her finish up with Slash.
As a side note, Ryou is going to be very taken off guard if Whitney cries because of this. He's so sorry...
