Character: Jolyne Cujoh | [personal profile] strings_theory
Badge/Gym Leader: Blaine
Elite/Regular: Regular Team
Team: Using just Canaveral
Battle Details: You know those swoobat strats she was using before? She has literally no respect for Blaine at all to bother with them for this. Canaveral is right there and has been itching to actually get into a fight and she's not about to tell him no. Which means that she will be starting out with using swords dance in order to max out his attack as she knows he can take a number of hits being maxed out in levels at this point. Once that's done it's time to really hammer these poor fire pokemon with surf. That's it, that's the strategy, she cannot be bothered to do anything but use brute force on the weirdo in the cave.

Character: Jolyne Cujoh | [personal profile] strings_theory
Badge/Gym Leader: Blue :]
Elite/Regular: Regular
Team: Still here and using Isla, Shi, and Flurry
Battle Details: 'Sup, she respects Blue enough to use a real team. Kind of. She will, however, start the battle off with Isla and using leech seed in order to get some passive damage as needed.

Against exeggutor it will be Shi that comes in on this doofus as she's pretty sure it can't do much of anything to him. Which means that Shi will be taking advantage of Simple in conjunction with calm mind not in order to attack the exeggutor but to be able to take any damage it might throw Shi's way as calm mind also raises special defense. With that in mind Shi will be abusing fly in order to take the overgrown palm tree out.

Against Machamp will still be Shi who with the special attack boosts from calm mind will be hitting the fighting-type hard with psychic.

Rhydon is where things will change and it will be Isla who can absolutely take a hit from this thing like it's nothing while being a defensive tank. She'll start with leech seed for passive damage and recovery before going ham with wood hammers and using giga drain as need be if Isla's HP gets low enough.

Gyarados is a tiny bit of a problem, but Flurry will be the one coming in to deal with it. Attack drops will be not a problem in the slightest for the alolan ninetales as she's a special attacker anyway. Starting from the beginning she'll use hail in order to activate her snow cloak ability to raise her evasion and also put chip damage on the gyarados. After that shell set up aurora veil to take half-damage from the gyarados before setting up with nasty plot, setting up aurora veil again as need be. Once all that is done it's time to hit this thing HARD with blizzard which ignores accuracy during a hail storm.

Pidgeot will also be handled by Flurry who will maintain her veil and hit the bird with blizzard as well. Hopefully after this battle the hail will be off the field or just about to be.

Because Arcanine is where Shi will return for his calm mind and psychic shenanigans while making sure he doesn't take much of anything form the poor doggo with calm mind's raising special defense.
