Character: Keldor | behindblueskin Badge/Gym Leader: Jasmine | Regular Team:Tanpopo | Sunatchi | Naganegi Battle Details: Keldor. Keldor.... Why are you here in Olivine challenging Jasmine for her badge? Aren't you supposed to be in Goldenrod battling Whitney? I mean, I know people talk about her Miltank and how tough it can be to battle, but... Surely you can handle that!
What?
What do you mean, you don't want to deal with Whitney's crying after your match? Are crying women really that terrifying?
Oh.
It's because you still don't know how to handle tears, huh?
Very well then...
On with our strategy...
Skarmory
Skarmory might not be the fastest, but it's faster than Tanpopo is, and in the end, that's what counts. To slow things down, we need to keep it from moving at all, and that's what Thunder Wave is for. You can't use things like Sand Attack or Agility to make yourself harder to hit if you can't use your legs, wings or anything else. And since it's basically stuck in one spot, you can whale away with Thunder and Fire Punches, which might have to be used liberally, given the tin chicken's Defence stats. But as both moves are Super Effective against a Steel/Flying type combo, by the time Skarmory's able to mount an offence, it'll be too late when it's time to bring the Thunder.
Magneton
Despite being Ground/Dark, Sunatchi doesn't have many offensive moves that could really put the hurt on Magneton, what with two of his strongest attacks being Dark typed, but that's OK. We'll use a couple of Hone Claws to beef up his Attack stat. And we won't be bothering with something like a Sand Attack to increase evasiveness, because what Magneton has to hit with, either won't hurt very much [normal damage], or won't land at all [Ground's immunity to Electric attacks]. Magneton will probably start Screeching right away, so to protect his hearing, Sunatchi will be Digging his way out of earshot, but not before setting up a Sand Tomb to make sure that Magneton is taking damage while the croc sets things up to hit from below. When he next makes contact, Sunatchi will be hitting with Earthquake, which should result in Magneton going off line.
Steelix
Two down, one to go, and what comes up next could cause Timid-natured Naganegi to Flinch just from looking at it thank goodness for the Steadfast ability!. But Keldor has faith in this duck, and after using Iron Defence and Swords Dance to improve Defence and Attack respectively, Naganegi will be feeling pretty good, too. Good enough to not worry so much that what Steelix has to hurt her with won't hurt so much. Even Dig, if its trainer tells it to use it, and, if it does, when the beeg snek comes up, it'll be battered with first a Leaf Blade, then, now that it's reeling, a Meteor Assault.
