Character: Eda Clawthorne | mamalike Badge/Gym Leader: Erika, Rainbow Badge Elite/Regular: Regular Team:Roster - Eda will mainly be battling with Boots the Delphox and Peapod the Dragonite, though Luzifer, Hooty, and Grudgby are also brought along. Battle Details: Eda has put this off for quite a while, and for all she may have claimed she was training her team up, the real reason is that she's not traveling with Hunter anymore. But she's got that all dealt with, and it's back to battling! And hey, at least all the procrastination meant Eda actually did do some research and strategizing for this gym fight.
Boots the Delphox and Peapod the recently-evolved Dragonite are the stars of the show, with Peapod coming out first to set up Safeguard to protect against status conditions, before being switched out for Boots, for now. Boots will be going after Jumpluff with powerful Flamethrower attacks.
But things get a bit more tactical again when Tangrowth comes out. This thing is bulky and more of a physical attacker, so a Will-O-Wisp to burn it is a must. From there, it's admittedly back to Flamethrower, with a few attempted Fire Blasts thrown in. Hopefully Boots's aim proves true! Just when Tangrowth looks on the ropes, Boots will set up a Light Screen before finishing it off.
Peapod comes back out for the fight Bellossom. First step, Thunder Wave to try and paralyze Bellossom, since if the Safeguard hasn't worn out by now, it may soon! And with this being Erika's last pokemon, the bonus of paralysis preventing attacks of all kinds, not just status moves, seems to outweigh the status prevention of Safeguard. From there, Peapod will set up with a Dragon Dance before a barrage of Wing Attacks are unleashed on Bellossom. And, once things are looking close to the end, why not finish off with a Hyper Beam? It's just a bit more fun when things can be showy!
