Battle Details: Jinx is only really bringing Hex as backup in case something goes wrong, but she's not telling Miss Fortune this because as soon as she found out it was a fighting type gym the fire cat wrestler wanted to be the main attraction.
Releasing the other five pokemon on her team so they could watch the fight and cheer alongside her, Jinx, Hex, Noir, Mr. E, Strawbeary and Zest watched as Ms. Fortune entered the ring swaggering about not out of pride, but confidence. This was what she had been training for!
The battles were not easy for her either. Knowing that endurance was the name of the game, Jinx cautioned Ms. Fortune to play up her defense in the first fight with Hitmonlee. It seemed to help in the long run as she spent more time blocking and dodging then attacking. Finally when the time came to strike, Hitmonlee was worn out and a critical hit sealed the deal.
Hitmonchan was harder to pin down. The boxer pokemon was too aggressive to be danced around and so Ms. Fortune met them head on, exchanging blows that rocked the arena. One miss fired punch was all Ms. Fortune needed to send Hitmonchan flying across the floor.
The final challenge, and the most difficult would be the Poliwrath. Knowing her weakness to water Ms. Fortune was on the defensive again, her aching muscles making it hard to keep dodging around the splashing blasts of water trying to smother her flames of determination.
Unable to use the arena to her advantage as it was a plain and simple dojo style set up, Ms. Fortune opted to try something new by blasting her flame attacks at the ground, propelling her over the pools of water Poliwrath was creating, and coming crashing down ontop of him. What followed next was a flurry of up close blows between the two as they tore into each other and rolled around the arena locked in mutual chokeholds.
But as the dust settled and the two rose to their feet panting and gasping for breath...Poliwrath fell. With one sliver of her HP remaining, so weak she could get knocked over by a feather Ms. Fortune was victorious!
....and if you don't believe that version of the story, Jinx still has Hex in the wings.
