Character: Noctis Lucis Caelum | thenightsky Badge/Gym Leader: Rising Badge Elite/Regular: Regular Team Team: Leviathan (lv. 84) Dumpling (lv. 62) Pasta (lv. 69) Stirfry (lv. 53) Tub (lv. 50)
Battle Details: Being that this is his last gym for the Johto region, Noctis decided to have a little fun with this one and he's taking this gym on with an all Gyarados team. Because that's just how he is.
So to start he's going to lead with Stirfry who is going to use Scary Face out of the gate to drop the opposing Gyarados's speed. While she is facing off against another Gyarados and doesn't have much to worry about by way of type advantages, her opponent is a higher level and will probably be able to get in some good hits. She'll get in another hit with Scary Face before using Leer to drop the other's defense. This will be the point, whether she's fainted or not, that Noct will switch Stirfry out for Dumpling. With her opponent's speed and defense dropped, Dumpling is going to hit it with a crushing Thunderbolt to knock it out, the moves effect boosted by her hold item Magnet.
When the Kingdra comes out, Dumpling will follow the same routine that Stirfry did, hitting it with a Scary Face then a Leer before getting swapped out for the mighty Tub. (Seriously she's massive.) She's going to start with Dragon Dance to boost her attack and speed before launching an offensive attack with Dragon Pulse. Given her lower level than the Kingdra it may not take it down and if that's the case, she'll finish it off with a Dragon Breath.
And then comes the Dragonite.
Noct will switch Tub out for Pasta who will immediately hit the Dragonite with Taunt, driving the other into a rage and forcing it to use only attack moves for the next three turns. After the Dragonite's first attack, Pasta will then use Iron Tail to drop the other's defense. Afterwards, Noct will switch her out for Leviathan.
The lead Gyarados will hit the Dragonite with Icy Wind first and foremost, his ice attacks powered by the NeverMeltIce he's holding. With the start of the next round, he's going to go for a clean finish and hit the Dragonite with an Ice Beam. (Chill out, buddy~)
