Character: Stanford Pines | [personal profile] meteorman
Badge/Gym Leader: Cascade Badge | Misty
Elite/Regular: Elite
Team: Fantastic Mr. Fox, Munchies, Claudia, Phoebe, all level 100
Battle Details: There's no reason for Ford to be here. He already has the Cascade Badge. He just wants to beat Misty's real team (her full Elite team) as a final test before he's ready for the Indigo Plateau, and he mostly intends to have fun with this battle rather than treating it super seriously.

Which is why he's starting with Ninetales. Hopefully the cameras are recording, because Ninetales Guy is back at it again in the Krispy Kreme. This time Mr. Fox is a lot better-equipped for dealing with Misty's Pokémon thanks to a host of new moves. The very first thing he's going to do is set up a Sunny Day. His base speed of 100 compared to Quagsire's measly 35 means it'll be halving the power of Quagsire's water moves before Quagsire even has a chance to hit him, and then the single-turn Solar Beam he can use on the next turn should hit Quagsire's quad weakness to grass right where it hurts. He's also faster than Lanturn and will be making full use of those turns of Sunny Day to Solar Beam the Lanturn down quickly as well.

Unfortunately Mr. Fox does lose a speed contest with Floatzel, so Ford will be swapping him out for Munchies before he can get knocked out. The thing about Munchies the Snorlax is that he knows Thunderbolt. He won't be going first but his HP is obnoxiously high so he can take several hits from the Floatzel while whittling it down. Lapras, though, is just as bulky and faster and Ford will be swapping Munchies out for Claudia when it comes in-- guess who also knows Sunny Day? It's Claudia! Lapras's water attacks will be halved in strength, allowing Claudia to chip away at its bulk with Toxic and 110 power Acrobatics (thanks to her lack of held item). Unfortunately Lapras is also an Ice Type and Claudia is weak to its ice moves, so she may need to take some turns using Roost to keep her health up while letting Toxic whittle the Lapras down.

Milotic is also incredibly bulky and possessed of a good host of Ice Moves, so just like with Mr. Fox, Claudia's last job will be refreshing the Sunny Day before she faints. Phoebe is going to be taking over. Phoebe can match Milotic in bulk and scope of moveset. She's going to use her first move to Cosmic Power, raising her defense while allowing the Toxic Orb she holds poison her. With her Magic Guard ability this means she won't take any damage from being poisoned and can't be hit with any other status effect because she already has one. Then it's time for some Science: Phoebe is going to use Charm. It's a gamble, but the outcome Ford wants is to see the Milotic get its boost from Competitive because that means it doesn't have Marvel Scale. If that's the case she's going to use Bestow to toss that Toxic Orb onto the Milotic, who doesn't have Magic Guard and will have to deal with that poison damage. However if the Milotic does have Marvel Scale then Ford is going to have Phoebe use another Cosmic Power and then Moonblast for the STAB and in hopes of lowering Milotic's special attack back down again. Once she starts to get into real danger HP-wise Ford is going to have her use Healing Wish… on Mr. Fox. He can come in, use his superior speed to Energy Ball Milotic into next week, and then set up a Sunny Day again to help him against the Starmie. That Starmie. That fucking Starmie. It's faster than him, he can't Captivate it-- but he can hit it with a super-effective dark type Payback that's guaranteed to be doubled in power because he's guaranteed to go second, and that's not too shabby. Once the Starmie is down to low enough health Mr. Fox can finish it off with a Quick Attack, and that should be that.
