Given the proclivity of poison types in Morty's battle, Marco has loaded up on some antidotes, as well as revive and Potions. He forgot the Burn salve, though.
He's bringing Viola, his starter, whom he's very close to, even if she's a bit of a Diva. Teddy absolutely adores Marco, and frequently rides on his shoulders, so he's willing to tough out a lot. Sushi and Marco are closer now, since he lets her roll around in things and chase Pidgeys. All of them have been travelling and fighting.
Viola will start out casting Safeguard against the Haunter, to prevent poison and burn from being inflicted. Given Haunter's weakness to Dark-type moves, Marco starts out the next part of battle with Confuse Ray, hoping to inflict confusion, and will then be hitting him with Sheer Cold, hoping to faint the Haunter out the gate. If not, he'll spam Feint Attack until they're fainted. His backup here is Teddy.
Marco will switch out Viola for Teddy after that for Misdreavus. An odd choice, until Marco uses Foresight, so he can hit the other pokemon. He'll also have him defend for two turns to heal up Viola if he needs to, then spam the hell out of Sucker Punch and Hyper Voice to take down the Misdreavus. He also has Rest, if he needs to make use of it.
If Teddy faints, his backup here is Sushi, with her Screech, Nasty Plot and Dark Pulse combo, while he'll also revive Teddy during her round.
Viola is coming out again in the last battle, and Marco starts out with Safeguard, then take the chance to revive Teddy if he wasn't able to in the last battle. He'll keep that Safeguard up to prevent Poison, Burn and Sleep statuses, since Gengar has also has Hypnosis, Dream Eater and Will o Wisp. The plot will be the same here - to inflict Confuse Ray in the hopes it messes up the Gengar, then spam Feint Attack. If he runs out for Feint, he'll switch over to Extrasensory.
If Viola faints, he'll sub in Sushi, with her plethora of Dark moves, in the hopes he can get them off before she too gets fainted, and then Teddy if both of them fail.
