Given the fact that Morty is using Ghost types, Connor has a team of Dark types with him. He's brought some antidotes with him, since Haunter and Gengar are dual Poison types too, and one revive.
He's going to send out Buddy first, and will use Feint Attack until the Haunter faints. Should Buddy faint at any point, he'll switch to Flounder for a (hopefully) quick KO with Crunch. He'll switch out for Max after that, choosing to increase his Pokemon's level as Morty does the same. Max will use Night Slash against the Misdreavus, again until the opposing Pokemon faints.
For the Gengar, Flounder will come back out. Using a combination of Crunch and Night Slash, Connor hopes to brute force a victory. Should either of his previous Pokemon have fainted, Connor will take the opportunity to revive them so he has a backup Pokemon incase Flounder doesn't quite make it. If both fainted, he'll revive Max.
