Character: Dandy | [personal profile] adandyinspace
Badge/Gym Leader: Mineral Badge - Jasmine
Elite/Regular: Regular
Team: Ass Rat (lv 98), Martini (lv 98), Exeggutor (lv 87)
Battle Details:

On his never ending journey to gain surfing rights, Dandy's gonna kick it into high gear after seeing all the opportunities he lost during the cruise all because his fish didn't know a move. Good thing the ship docks right in Olivine.

His team's gotten a lot stronger since his last dance at a gym, so he's banking on pure power rather than type advantages. Mostly because...none of his Pokémon have a type advantage over steel. Or so he thought.

Maybe it's silly to use a poison-type against types that are normally immune to them, but Ass Rat has Flamethrower and Dandy will absolutely call his first Pokémon out on the field his "last resort" as she starts flambéing them.

Steelix may be the only one she has a tough time with since their defense is so high AND she's weak to ground-types. So Dandy's gonna pull out his other "last resort" and test out one of Martini's newer tutor moves, Superpower. He's hoping it'll get the job done fairly easy. (Different move I know, but same idea.)

Exeggutor's there in case neither of these almost level 100 Pokémon can't take down monsters nearly 40 levels weaker than they are. He's hoping it won't come to that. Grass and dragon moves aren't exactly great on steel-types, but she has a few psychic and powder moves to help make up for that.

Character: Dandy | [personal profile] adandyinspace
Badge/Gym Leader: Storm Badge - Chuck
Elite/Regular: Regular
Team: Oranguru (lv 54), Lulu (lv 96), Mochi (lv 65)
Battle Details:

This is only if Dandy wins his Olivine battle, so feel free to ignore this if he loses. But if he does win, he's absolutely going to test out Pokémon surfing the moment he smacks his mantine with the HM.

He wasn't really planning on another gym battle right away, but he's there and he can apparently score the ability to fly on his bird, so why the hell not? He's gonna stop by the PC to pick up his Oranguru really quick, because something something getting better at this type shit. The two do not get along and it shows by how Oranguru's level fell behind the others, but Dandy would have two badges by this point so he's hoping it'd make his monkey shut up and listen.

Oranguru does like to prove he's superior to other Pokémon though, and taking on a gym where his psychic-type is stronger will make him cooperate...enough. His level is around the same as his opponents', however he's also a normal-type, which means he doesn't resist their fighting-type moves. If he can get one or maybe two down, he might start respecting his trainer. Maybe. Depends if he gets the badge in the end.

Thankfully Honolulu Hot Wings has a type advantage AND is stupid over leveled, so Dandy's hoping to just finish the battle with her. If she fails somehow, there's Precious Poi Mochi for backup. She isn't nearly as over leveled as the toucannon, but her fairy-type resists fighting-moves completely unlike these half normal-type chumps AND she has grass moves to help against Poliwrath.

If he wins, Dandy's going to celebrate by flying home on the girl that helped make this happen-- What do you mean he needs a badge for that too?!
