Character: Dirk Strider | [personal profile] uber_marionettist
Badge/Gym Leader: Violet City (Zephyr Badge)
Elite/Regular: Regular
Team: Scroll down... Rotom, Klang, and Ponyta.
Battle Details: Dirk has somewhat overprepared for this, homework wise, in part because he's expecting it to be significantly more complicated than a regular battle. He's leading with TAN (Rotom) because he wants to save his strongest and take advantage of the Ghost type immunity to Normal type moves. He's also going heavy on the Status, because Thunder Wave is part of TAN's moveset, and Confuse Ray is available as well. (Thunder Wave dropping speed as well as adding chance for paralysis, etc.) Rather than aiming to knock out Faulkner's first with TAN, he's putting status on and swapping to Pulse Train (Klang), both because of Pulse Train's higher level and Steel's resistances.

He will literally keep doing this as needed, but he won't leave TAN out for longer than a successful Thunder Wave requires against Honchkrow, as he learnt his type resistances and his Pokedex will helpfully inform him--via rap--what Honchkrow's typing is. He WILL leave TAN out once Pidgeot is sent out, though, since its Electric attacks pack a bit more punch.

Acorn (Ponyta) is mostly there to mop up whatever's needed with Flame Wheel or Flare Blitz.
