oh god oh boy here she go

Character: Carly Nagisa | [personal profile] insidescoop
Badge/Gym Leader: Blaine
Elite/Regular: REGULAR TEAM
Team: AAAAAAAAAA anyway she's using Kyusei.
Battle Details: Ahhh Blaine... With a team of level 70s it's already looking tight, but Carly only needs One to handle this fellow.

Namely Kyusei. Sure, Red Buster or even Evey could probably step up as necessary, but are they? Kyusei has water. And earthquake.

Also, Carly probably just breezed through whatever nonsense quiz he threw up there, with a few tricks of her own, so-

Character: Carly Nagisa | [personal profile] insidescoop
Badge/Gym Leader: Blue
Elite/Regular: REGULAR TEAM
Team: AAAAAAAAAA anyway she's using everyone Except Zero.
Battle Details: Ahhh but Blue! Blue is where the tricks come in!

With a full varied team, Carly considers this to be if anything practice for the E4- sure, the E4 will probably have a singular type deal going on themselves, but the fact is they'll probably all be clever enough to work around this.

So this? This is a test. Exeggutor being first up, it's actually Boo who will be coming out to begin with. The first trick of the day is Trick-or-Treat, to get rid of any STABs the pokemon could launch out. From there, ghost was already going to be especially effective- but now it's even handier! Particularly since if Boo starts flagging, Red can be sent out to handle the rest.

And speaking of the rest- while Boo and Red both have their own ways to handle fighting types, Evey is the one being brought out to deal with Machamp. As a fairy type with plenty of same-type moves, the little milcery deserves the chance to show her stuff- slipping and sliding all around the poor muscle 'mon until it falls under the chaos and sparkles.

The switching doesn't stop here either- Rhydon is a perfect target for Carly's quagsire, and it'll only take a few runs of surf (thank you, HMs) to deal with.

Of course, once Gyarados is out the same switcheroo method of battle is needed. This time, it's nothing Blue hasn't likely seen though- as Boo goes out, they start off with Trick-or-Treat yet again, continuing the 'remove stabs, add weakness' goal. As Boo is fairly tanky, she should be able to handle at least a few hits from the gyarados as well- but worst case, Red is coming right in there to clean house.

And for that matter, Red's sticking around for the Pidgeot as well! Red's ghost moves might not mean anything, but Substitute, Snore, and a good number of Swords Dances will even those odds mighty quick- using Head Smash is a risky move, but at this point there's only one pokemon left in Blue's team, and Red wouldn't be facing them anyway.

No, that's all Kyusei for the Arcanine, and what a Kyusei moment it'll be. Pretty near anything Kyusei can do will smother the pooch, making the final battle for Blue's team a cakewalk.

E4, here she comes! (After prom, after,)
