JUSTIFY THE REWARD: After working on the Laprasbot's restoration and generally experimenting in his lab with Emet's Rotoms and his Klinklang, Dirk has rewired the mecha to produce a powerful electromegnetic pull. (Remember, his Klinklang fits into a spot in the mecha to produce power for it with its rotation.) He's mostly just curious to see if he can use it to pull ocean-dwelling steel- and electric- type Pokemon up towards the bot for easy catching. Pokemon like Chinchou, Lanturn, Dhelmise.... maybe even Pincurchin. (Imagine if the world found Pincurchin because Dirk was fucking around.)
