Character Name: Foo Fighters Series: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Timeline: Post chapter 95 (alexa, play a dirge for this spirit) Canon Resource Links:Foo Fighters @ Jojo wikia
Personality: One of the first things Jolyne had noticed when squaring up against Foo Fighters was it's motivation. To understand this completely one must realize that Foo Fighters isn't really entirely a stand nor a human, it was first a colony of plankton that was given sentience and knowledge by White Snake for a purpose. As soon as Jolyne realized this she knew that Foo Fighters wasn't particularly fighting or killing out of obligation towards White Snake but instead was protecting the discs of stolen stands hidden in the tractor out of gratitude from being allowed to exist. With Jolyne sparing Foo Fighters the gratitude shifted over to her for allowing it to exist as well as to continue protecting the discs.
Previously only acquiring the knowledge to kill in order to protect the process to educate Foo Fighters was necessary. After inhabiting the body of a dead inmate Foo Fighters was capable to accessing that person's memories, but still lacked the ability to really fit in as a human. With the help of Jolyne and Hermes it began to learn to at least act like it fit in on a physical level, as well as to know what's more or less acceptable (fighting ≠killing). It didn't take long for Foo Fighters to gain a sense of self through interacting, becoming more self-aware and asking questions in order to challenge itself by going against what the original body wanted and acted by doing the exact opposite.
Foo Fighters' greatest strength is also it's weakness, and that's loyalty. Feeling this in abundance as far as Jolyne is concerned it more often than not risks everything in order to protect her at the risk of it's own host's body which affects it a great deal. While it's able to heal itself because of the fact that it is compromised of a colony of plankton it also requires a lot of water to keep this up and survive ultimately. Being in Florida one would think the humidity would be enough to help with this, but what it needs to do is actually take in the water rather than simply absorbing it. Because of this it was severly weakened by it's fight against White Snake. Using what energy Foo Fighters had left it helped to heal an injured Jolyne and also saved the life of the person she entrusted to continue protecting her, Anasui. When fading away the spirit of Foo Fighters had taken on the body of the inmate it inhabited, having been enmeshed into it's very being in body and soul. When Jolyne attempts to save Foo Fighters' disc in order to bring it back it tells her that doing such won't work because it would be something completely different and not the same being it was in this life.
