Personality:

Early on in Lysithea's childhood- as in, she was two- as one of the leading noble families of the Leicester Alliance, her parents heeded a call for aid during a small revolt, and the neighboring empire took great offense. The revolt was crushed, and key members of House Ordelia were killed, but the empire wasn't finished yet. Infiltrators from a secret organization had also been part of the group sent to their territory, and imprisoned Lysithea and her siblings to enact magic experiments on them. The siblings and their parents could only watch in horror as they died one by one, leaving only her mother, father and herself alive with the experiments resulting in a grim success: Lysithea had two Crests with in her: a Minor Crest of Charon and a Major Crest of Gloucester. However, the experiments also cut her lifespan severely, and with her frail health it's become clear that she will not live a long life so long as the Crests are within her... and as far as she is aware, there is no one who can. Callously, the mages who had experimented her abandoned the family in their own home when they realized the price of their success. One may conclude that witnessing these events in her childhood is the reason she is so terrified of ghosts, regardless of what she may say.

With the tragedy suffered by House Ordelia, Lysithea has vowed to put an end to their affairs- once she can ensure her parents a peaceful, happy remainder of their days she plans on dissolving House Ordelia as a noble family and has no plans on continuing the family line. To do so, however, she needed to be more than the frail, dying little girl they had left behind, and there was only one thing to do: get to work.

As a result, Lysithea is a notoriously driven young woman, regarded as a magical prodigy by all who meet her and with a work ethic that could scare even the most ambitious of people. She values hard work, determination and integrity above all and as a result she gets incredibly offended and angry when the results of her work is regarded as 'natural talent'. Every day she works to better herself, foster her skills and draw more of her potential out and all that she does is for her parents- she loves them dearly, and can't stand the idea of being a burden on them. But her drive also makes her proud- she can't stand asking for help or accepting it, and though she may try she also is unsure of how to offer it as well. She also can't stand being treated childishly, and will rather ruthlessly critique 'childish' traits in others without thinking first. Many have fallen victim to her temper and harsh words due to this, and she misses when she acts immaturely quite often- such as ruthlessly tearing into Ignatz for not meeting her standards or angrily refusing Raphael's help as a student... or even her dislike of vegetables.

However, she's not all drive and harsh words- Lysithea can be just as sweet as the cakes she loves most, and even she can find time to enjoy the little things in life like a good book, a treat or even a stuffed animal. She loves her friends loudly and sincerely, and will readily shower them with praises without even thinking, and her loyalty to Claude is second to none. And even with her harsh temper and sharp tongue, she'll readily and sincerely apologize if she or someone else believes she has gone too far- she's not heartless in the least, and wants to help everyone reach their best. She dreams of a world where what happened to her is impossible to recreate, where the ones she loves can be happy and thrive... even if she's gone. And if she has to dig herself out of the grave to make it happen, then so be it.

It's been several days since Lysithea made it to Cherrygrove City. The cold was harsh, but the people of New Bark Town had been incredibly helpful and generous in their aid, and for it she would be forever grateful. It was strange, waking up in a world so peaceful when she had been fighting a five-year long war just the day before- everything felt hazy, like a dream that she truthfully didn't want to wake up from.

She knows Claude is still further into the kingdom they've arrived in, having been here for months now. Every day she delays is more time it would take to catch up, but the weather is unkind to frail women who grew up in warmer countries where snow was a two-inch blanket. She knows this, but still she sits in a cafe, writing in the notebook the woman claiming to be her mother had given her. It held quite a bit at this point- it was a diary, a record of questions and theories about her new situation and new... world, and a log of what she was slowly learning about her partner pokemon, a milcery (who made no sense, honestly, because how did a drop of cream come to life and why does it have a face?) and a friendly face she'd met on the road- a big, furry little thing called a sentret. It was incredible how different they were, and yet they were treated so similarly by the world around them.

As the pencil scratches against the paper, Lysithea glances at the clock on the wall. In about an hour, she would deposit her journal back at the room in the inn she'd managed to secure. Her funds had been startlingly low, but she'd been hired on at the local library for a week. To leave now would be unthinkably rude and irresponsible! Claude would have to understand. And besides, having some extra funds would be helpful, wouldn't it? But for now, she had time to learn. Her milcery maintaining a solid presence despite the sentret curling around her for a hug. It made no sense, so it would be written down to explore further in their time together. There wasn't much she could do about the situation, but she could still learn and adapt as she always did.
