Although what you have is a great start, we would like to see you detail more of the aspects of what you've highlighted--for example, why does he stay optimistic despite going through hell? How does he show that optimism despite being grouchy/surly? We'd like elaboration on basically all the aspects you've touched upon, especially as Ichigo is the main character of the series.

Additionally, we would like to see another sample that better shows Ichigo's voice. Although the thread sample linked is fine, we believe that the other sample you've provided doesn't sufficiently demonstrate your character's voice. This, in tandem with the personality section, makes it very difficult to get a grasp on the character as a whole.
