Personality: Fiona is one of those people that you really hope are on your good side. She’s tough and self-reliant. She’s spent her entire life learning how to fend for herself in the rough town of Hollow Point on Pandora. She doesn’t put up with much, and what she does put up with she meets with a sarcastic smile and a cutting remark. On the surface, she seems to be a typical bandit with a penchant for conning people out of their money. She holds most people at a distance. There are only a few that really know Fiona and the moment you enter her inner circle, you’re stuck with her - for good or for bad.
Fiona is loyal, sticking by her friends even when the odds are stacked against them. Earning Fiona’s trust is the difficult part. There is really only one person Fiona trusts unconditionally, her sister, Sasha. With everyone else, Fiona regards their involvement with an element of suspicion. Even when their mentor betrays them, it’s Sasha who is hurt far more than Fiona. On some level, Fiona expects to be double-crossed. It’s the life they live - every man and woman for themselves. She tries not to take it personally. That doesn’t mean Fiona will abandon others for the sake of herself, however. In that way, she’s different than other Pandorans. Even though Fiona knows her loyalty may not be returned, she still finds it difficult to turn her back on the people she’s formed a bond with - whether it’s a common goal or something resembling friendship.
What drives Fiona is the search for a better life. That’s what money will bring, provided she’s able to gather enough in one place. Conning a Hyperion stooge into thinking he was purchasing an Vault Key was just one of the ways she was going to strike it big. Once she realized that she was in the possession of a real Vault Key, suddenly her desire to strike it big and leave the useless waste of a planet shifted into something else. Maybe she was destined to be a Vault Hunter - loving the thrill of the search. Sure, money is still nice but the adventure of finding the Vault was far more satisfying than any simple con. The pay-off is more than how much money the Vault contains. It’s the uncertainty of where the next adventure will take her that is more important than simply money. That’s the better life she wants and Fiona will stop at nothing to claim it.

Victory Road Sample: Waking up in an unknown house isn’t what Fiona expected once she opened the Vault. Stranger still was the beeping noise that seemed to be coming from a pack leaning on the side of the bed. She reached inside, half anticipating a bomb of some sort, and pulled out what looked to be an Atlas com and a small red and white ball. The ball reminded her of Gortys but she was pretty certain the last time she saw the adorable bot she was back to normal size. The ball was tiny - perhaps it was a mini-Gortys?
Fiona touched the ball and heard a pop. The ball opened and a round creature landed on her bed. She jumped back, not sure if the alien was going to attack her. The creature gave it’s own startled squeak that sounded more like a pig’s snort. Fiona grabbed the pillow from the bed and held it in front of her, just in case.
“Hello, there,” she said. The creature was rather cute, she had to admit. It looked like a miniature pig but not a pig she’d ever seen before. The creature wagged it’s curly tail and spoke.
“Tepig! Tepigtepig.”
“Ah!”
Fiona moved farther away from the alien pig. She’d heard some bizarre sounds on Pandora but a talking pig was not one of them. Just where in the hell did the Vault take here? On second thought, why was she alone? Rhys had opened the Vault with her. Shouldn’t he also be in this room? Fiona frowned. Something about all of this smelled rotten.
Keeping the pillow between herself and the alien pig, she picked up the Atlas com. Someone was bound to have the other end. She ignored the flashing messages and pressed the large green button, broadcasting to the other communicators.
“Rhys? Is this your idea of a joke? Because I’m not laughing.”
