Setting off in a yet uncharted direction, it isn't too long before this team stumbles across what must have once been the temple kitchens. The large chamber is rather devoid of the fancy decorations that can be found in many other locations. It seems this room was one of function and not design.
Several long stone tables must have once been used to prepare the food for both the humans and pokemon living in this temple. Wood stoves stand along the back wall, though obviously, the fires inside have long been extinguished.
Still, the room has a few treasures left to reveal.
Treasures:
Midoriya Izuku's search through a pile of debris and detritus brought into the room by the passage of time and the various pokemon who have undoubtedly made these former kitchens their home at one point or another will eventually reveal a stone doll, which has been bound inside a sack with a sea-weed based rope. A pair of black pearls have been set inside the doll's face as eyes. It feels extremely cursed.
Additionally, inside a large chest, Bakugou Katsuki will discover a gigantic wheel of cheese, contained in a watertight, seaweed-based wrapper that is incredibly difficult to peel off. Just how long has this been ageing? Tastes incredibly funky and salty like seawater. This’ll pair nicely with some wine.
Additionally, tucked away in a small cellar hidden underneath the floor, Kirishima Eijiro finds several glass bottles filled with what looks to be ancient wine, never opened. You don’t know what this is made of, but it tastes fruity and decadent. This’ll pair nicely with some cheese.
Additionally, Ochako Uraraka discovers a tea set that has survived the passage of time. Though one of the cups has a chipped rim, other than that, the set is undamaged. The teapot has a white glaze and delicate scenes of swimming Mantine painted in various shades of blue. The cups have a matching white glaze, but they contain depictions of swimming Mantyke.
Additionally, Todoroki Shoto a small statue carved from a Walrein's tusk. The statue depicts Manaphy, the guardian of the seas. The surface of the statue is worn soft in a manner that only comes from frequent handling. Perhaps this was a talisman for someone once upon a time?
