Lost Temple: Exploration

Top Section	The three floors closest to the surface. Due to the light streaming in through the porthole like windows that line the walls, this is the brightest, most airy feeling section of the Temple. The hallways here are fairly broad and the curved ceilings tower high above the average person's head. Many large, circular chambers can be found in this section, the sort that might once have been used to receive guests in the Temple. Though time has had its effects on most of the objects decorating the halls and chambers, you can still see this section of the Temple must once have been richly decorated. Middle Section	The middle section consists of seven floors. Though some light still filters in from outside, most of the illumination here comes from strange, glowing crystals that are set at regular intervals along the walls. The hallways here are more narrow and less grand. The same goes for the chambers. You get the idea that this part of the Temple was perhaps more the personal domain of whoever once tended to this Temple. Compared to the first section, there are more hidden areas here, as well as traps preventing unauthorised individuals from accessing what had once been kept in this area of the Temple. Lowest Section	The lowest section of the temple. You can barely go down a single floor before you hit the water. It seems that this part of the temple is partially (or perhaps entirely) submerged in water. Anyone interested in exploring this part of the temple will need to be ready to swim and have a pokemon that knows Dive*. The sunlight from above does not penetrate this deeply in the water, and the light that illuminates the large labyrinthine hallways in this section of the temple comes from strange, bioluminescent corals and water plants that cover the walls. From the way they are grown, it's clear they were purposely coaxed to grow in those area. Additionally, because of the submerged nature of this area of the temple, it seems that whoever designed this area fully took advantage of the fact that the water allows people to move in all directions, and nothing like staircases can be found. As you get lower, the floors get smaller, growing more narrow as you travel down the tail end of the temple. * If your pokemon are incapable of Dive, the Legendary Seekers will recommend a trip to the Marine Research Institute on Sevii Island Four, where a Move Tutor for this move is available. While exploring, Yuzu, Shirogane and Ardyn come across a long hallway, the walls of which are adorned with a variety of murals. The murals, though not all are completely intact anymore, seem to tell a story.

The first mural depicts a scene of a fisherman caught in a storm at sea.

A second mural depicts the same fisherman being saved by the pokemon Manaphy.

A third mural depicts the man and Manapahy on an island.

A fourth mural depicts the temple under construction.

A fifth mural depicts the man, now old, speaking to a group of people, Manaphy at his side.

The sixth mural, which actually seems to depict what is inside the inner sanctuary has been damaged severely, making it hard to make out what it was meant to depict.

While searching through some stone debris at the foot of the sixth mural, they find




Treasures:

While searching through the debris, Yuzu will find a small, white stone chest (perhaps half the size of a shoebox) that has been decorated with wave patterns. Inside the chest, there are some old letters. The writing on them is faded, but should anyone take the time to translate them, they are very old love letters. The letters themselves are bound together with a necklace, consisting of pure white pearl hanging from a simple white-gold chain.

In addition, Shiro will find an Ammolite on a plinth. It looks like this hallway once contained several of these plinths, presumably with their own treasures on top, but only this one has survived intact. The ammolite is easily the size of both of Shiro's fists puts together, and even in the low light inside the temple, it shines with its many colours.

In addition, hidden behind a disguised panel in one of the murals, Ardyn will find a smooth, ruby-red gem. When held, the strange gem seems to pulse with heat, in a slow, almost heartbeat-like manner. The gem looks like the red gem on the front of Manaphy's chest.
