JKBA Pokemon Exchange

If there is one thing the JKBA understands like no other, it's the fact that no one breeder can own all the pokemon out there. Which means that ever so often, you'll run into the situation where you need a specific species of pokemon, or a pokemon with a specific move to complete a request or improve our own breeding stock, and you'll come up wanting.

But, no longer!

Through the JKBA Pokemon Exchange initiative, Breeders that are a part of the JKBA can borrow pokemon from the Association. Now you won't need to spend five days crawling through the bushes to find that one pokemon you need! Instead, you can put in a request from the comfort of your own home.

There are a few details to keep in mind, however!

  • You may borrow a pokemon once every three months
  • You may keep the pokemon long enough have one clutch of eggs (which should translate to a few days)
  • The type of pokemon you can borrow depends on your Association Rank.
  • Unless otherwise noted, a borrowed pokemon will only know the standard moves expect for that particular level; no additional TM or Tutor moves. Please keep this in mind while calculating the resulting move-pools.
  • The pokemon will be randomly generated for you in terms of level. So if it is critical that the borrowed pokemon has a certain move, it might be best to wait until you are at a higher rank.
  • Please note that it is not possible to 'stack' requests; you can't borrow a shiny pokemon with HA, and certain egg moves in one go!

Forgotten which pokemon you can borrow at which Association Rank? Not to fear, we have a little guide here.

Rank Level Available Pokemon
Apprentice Rank All regular* pokemon
Bronze Rank Pokemon with up to three specific (egg) moves
Gold Rank Pokemon with Hidden Abilities
Diamond Rank Shiny Pokemon

* - Regular pokemon here having the meaning of non-shiny / non-hidden ability. Species rarity plays no role. At this level, you can as easily borrow a Rattata as you can a Dragonite.

To request a pokemon, please fill out the following form. You'll get a response back with the relevant information. We will process these requests on Wednesday, so please be patient.
