I just realize right now that in Gen 8 (or maybe as early as Gen 7) that getting an Eevee to learn a Fairy move at level 18 would lead to them becoming a Sylveon, which was not in my original plan since I want to get my character an Espeon. Does that mechanic apply to the game as well?
