January 16th - Swarm The cause of the strange and very sharp drop in temperature is revealed as strange little... creatures swarm everywhere today. What are they? Where did they come from? Why do they have to make everything to frigging cold?!
January 22nd - Swarm To welcome the Year of the Rabbit, today Johto and Kanto won't just be contenting with one swarming pokemon, they'll be dealing with four -- Huge and powerful Bunnelbies will be seen everywhere in Kanto; Limber Bunearies can be found all across Johto; over on yonder Sevii Islands, people will be running into plenty of Scorbunnies playing Libero; and finally, in any body of water, you'll find oh so many sap-sipping Azumarills.

January 1st - January 8th New year, same old weather! The cold and snowy weather that dominated much of December is still here to stay. Though many of the days are clear and bright, nights are often dominated by new additions of snow, keeping the white that blankets everything in Johto and Kanto constantly refreshed.
January 9th - January 15th In the latter half of the week, there will be a very sharp drop in temperature. Winter is supposed to be cold, but this cold? Even the Sevii Islands will start seeing freezing temperatures and snow. Too bad for all your people who went there to avoid winter -- it looks like Winter is Coming even to you.
January 16th - 22nd January 16th is truly record-breaking cold, but once those strange little creatures clear out again, the temperatures slowly go back to normal. The snow in Sevii will disappear again, and while Kanto and Johto retain their wintery weather, it's back to normal wintery temperatures and not... whatever that was.
January 23rd - January 31st As the weather moves into the last week of January, the temperatures keep rising. The snow starts lessening, and in some areas, it might even start melting during the daytime. Unfortunately, the nights are still cold enough that all that melted snow will freeze up again at night, leaving everything very slippery. Take care not to fall! Move slowly and maybe salt your way? Or try and ride some more sure-footed pokemon around.
