Name of the Character Requesting a Building: Emporio AlniƱo Proof:Here! Location: New Bark Town. If that doesn't work, then the route just off New Bark (R29) Name: Petal Gym Hours: Technically 24/7; by the nature of the Gym, Emporio constantly has a day's notice to get there for each challenge, with trainers on watch in rotating shifts. Difficulty: This gym takes all ranges, however- Challengers will be required to either take the offered survival course first, or display four gym badges. Gym Specialization: Wilderness travel and safety Gym Design: Emporio's Gym will be so located to offer support to new trainers entering the region- for this reason, it's located in New Bark. The main front of the Gym, the structure within the town itself, hosts a small store where one can purchase camping equipment and supplies- for newcoming import trainers, they are allowed to take such packages on loan. In addition, the gym provides classes on safe camping in a variety of terrain and weather conditions, which are hosted using the same field used for the Gym's challenge.
Challengers approaching the gym will face a differing form of camping Triathlon, dependent on the current weather and season. This triathlon goes through a small course over two full days, and challengers will be watched over by Gym staff from a distance for safety reasons. Upon reaching the end of the course, challengers will face Emporio in a pokemon battle- however, 'Winning' does not require defeating him. Rather, if a challenger is smart enough to either recognize their weakness in a situation where Emporio outlevels them, they will earn the badge due to their intelligence.
To survive pokemon in the wild does not mean to crush all opposition underfoot, as he explains. It requires knowing when you are outmatched, and being able to retreat to fight another day. To heal your pokemon without pushing them so hard that they need rescue. Badge Name and Appearance: The Petal Badge is unique, resembling a small five petal pin with a much larger five-petal frame surrounding it. This frame can hold five glass petals- Emporio presents the badge with a differently colored petal according to the challenge course completed at the time. Technically however, the glass petals aren't part of the Official Badge. Trainer Rewards:Safety Goggles Link to Badge Request page:Here; a more in-depth description of the gym will go here as well, as well as the teams involved. Blurb (Optional): Prove yourself to the wilds of Johto and elsewhere, by taking the challenge of a Pokemon Triathlon! Each form of the course and challenge involves an obstacle course, a vehicular course (bikes will be offered on loan, as well as paddle boats and skiis), and lastly, a course focused on pokemon riding.
Trainers will be encouraged to pace themselves, coming to understand how to safely camp in various conditions, while learning their limits and the limits of their pokemon. To that end, while a battle against Emporio looms at the end of the course, there can be victory found in loss as well- if trainers recognize a need to retreat or back down, they will earn the badge.
By the nature of the gym, various weather conditions will take effect during this battle: In the Summer, a constant Sunny condition will beat down on an aquatic field. During Winter, heavy snow will cover this field, causing the weather to be Snowy. Autumn will see the craggy cave and fog conditions, while Spring brings forward a downpour of rain among trees and tall grass. In evening hours, when snow and flood water isn't present, the field mimics a sandstorm field with volcanic terrain instead.
While each course is unique, the end goal is the same- Master the land by working in harmony with your Pokemon, so it doesn't master you!
dizzily tries to figure out if i missed anything I'm sorry if I diiiiiiiid-
