Rocket Missions V.2

Welcome, valued Team Rocket member! Pursuing a career in the greatest organization of all time, eh? Well, you're in the right place!

This is the hub where you will find information on all team Missions. As stated in the Code of Conduct, all Rocket agents must be available to accept at least one mission at all times. They won't all be glamorous or exciting, but even mopping floors in one of the bases can lead to greater things! Team Rocket offers work in a variety of fields, with the primary openings being in four specific categories: maintenance, field work, science, and of course, the goal of most aspiring agents, leadership.

Maintenance: Brand new agents will likely be handed these jobs before anything else, as they're the easiest and least likely to result in police attention if you screw them up! They can include things like janitorial and laundry work in the bases, or serving fellow agents in the cafeteria.

Field Work: The most common missions take place in the field! Theft (whether it's as small as shoplifting some Potions or as big as participating in a full-scale heist) falls into this category, as does the simplest available mission, Pokemon acquisition. Anything you do to benefit the team outside of official Rocket premises can be considered field work!

Science: Science mission work mostly takes place out of the public eye, in official Rocket laboratories. The perfect field for more technically-minded agents, these jobs can include anything from pioneering new technology to experimentation on Pokemon themselves. Or it can be as dull as data entry. Grab a lab coat and see what you get!

Leadership: Getting sick of sharing those dorms? How does a private helicopter sound? Agents with lofty aspirations and a good work ethic may advance through the ranks and claim authority for themselves, earning swanky privileges, and more underlings to boss around than you can shake a stick at. This isn't to say that higher status doesn't come with its own responsibilities-- "Privates" and "Betas" are still expected to accomplish other missions (though usually not the maintenance ones-- that's grunt work), and even "Alphas" will usually work in the field. 'Leadership' jobs can even include tasks that just happen to require both specialized skills and a certain amount of trustworthiness to the Team. The main difference is tackling missions from an organizational, independent-thinking standpoint rather than just following orders-- YOU'RE the boss now!! Go put the fear of Arceus in some new recruits!

NOTE: Team Rocket members who have not requested a specific mission (either listed or individual) will be considered on Pokemon-collecting duty and will not appear on this list.

CARLY NAGISA (Retired character)

STATION: Two Island

JOB: Intelligence Gathering, Base Establishment

NOTES: After successfully mapping the Whirl Islands, Team Rocket was more than happy to approve of Carly's requested reassignment to the Sevii Islands. After their first failed attempt at establishing a presence on the islands, Carly's reassignment will hopefully be laying the foundations for new Rocket base in this part of the region.

Vinegar Doppio (epitaffio)

STATION: In the field

JOB: Infiltration / information gathering.

NOTES:Though broadly speaking a group of enthusiastic nutjobs, the Legendary Seekers are still Johto and Kanto's prime hotspot for information on Legendary pokemon. Sure, 95% of it might just be blurry pictures and bull, but it is that 5% Team Rocket is after. Doppio has been assigned to infiltrate the group as a regular member and keep his ear to the ground regarding any rumours about Legendary Pokemon locations, sighting or items related to them. Of course, he will be expected to only report on actual viable leads, and not every blurry picture of someone's Ursaring walking through the forest.

Min-Gi Park (outofsynth)

STATION: Vermilion City

JOB: Squirtle Supervisor

NOTES: There are a very small gang of Squirtles in Vermilion City that Min-Gi's trained up to recruit for Team Rocket within the city and the surrounding routes. For the moment recruitment's all they're doing, but maybe one day there will be more to this. There might also be a minor rivalry between the criminally inclined Squirtles doing it for themselves, and the ones with ties to the Rockets.

REQUESTING A MISSION:

"Hard" missions will only be given upon demand, as they may come with specific instructions and usually require at least a "Beta" rank. On the other hand, "Regular" and "Easy" missions can be picked up anytime by any team members that meet the requirements, if there are any.

Individual, personalized missions (player-determined) can also be requested at any time, and may vary beyond just the 'official' locations above-- the listed missions are guidelines, not restrictions! Get creative-- you may find yourself rewarded handsomely!

REQUESTING A REWARD:

Let no one say that working for Team Rocket is thankless-- those who prove themselves worthy may request all manner of exciting rewards!

Maybe they've been distinguishing themselves by taking charge and deserve to move upward in the ranks, or maybe they pulled off a heist so impressive that Auntie Apricorn wants to give them a rare item from the Rocket vault! The greater the achievements, the better the loot!

Team Rocket has access to many resources and can even, depending on the request, offer rewards that aren't available via other means...

If this happens, we will be happy to offer alternative rewards or suggestions of what it would take to earn the desired reward!

Scorpia's Valentine's heist

CHARACTER NAME HERE Scorpia, Steve Palchuk, Doppio

CURRENT RANK: Scorpia is a Grunt, the other two are Privates

REQUESTED REWARD: Scorpia wants the admins to tell her she's valuable to the team is hoping for something to help her and her Pokemon become better for the Team! A cash bonus is fine if the admins can't think of something Pokemon related. (could be a useful held item, evolution item, or useful TM that she doesn't have to purchase herself or if the admins are especially pleased, something rare or a Pokemon from far away.) She'll also make a definite mention of Steven D. and the fact that he loaned a Pokemon to the cause and has been super encouraging and just so great as a Mentor!

Steve just took part to spend time with and help out his crush best friend! Scorpia will gush to the Admins about how helpful and nice and cool he is so he should get a really good reward.

Doppio wants a useful item or a nice new Pokemon.

JUSTIFY THE REWARD: Scorpia is on fire to help with Bewear and Stufful conservation efforts! She's found an organization that helps find new trainers or return to the wild Bewears and also keeps wild Bewears and Stufful safe in their natural environment! And so she's running a fund drive for charity!

Why not help out Rocket too while she's at it? Scorpia's idea is simple: do her charity drive, and then pickpocket any jerk who doesn't want to help the Bewears. Especially if they're rude, or look really rich!

She's done some non-heist-related fundraising already (so npcs may have heard of her efforts), but Valentine's Day is a day about sharing the love, right? Well, Bewears deserve so much love! So on Valentine's Eve and Day, she sets up in public places where people are likely to visit (making a stop near the department store, the park, and a square/promenade facing some of the swanky romantic restaurants in the evening) puts on the best Bewear costumes with Steve and advertises 'Hugs for Bewears!' while offering free hugs to bring attention to the Bewears' plight. There are donation containers painted pink, several actual Bewears wandering around with signs advertising the event/charity (with special appearance by the newest Champion Steve!), and Scorpia and Steve ready to give hugs (and the occasional signature in Steve's case) to anybody who wants them!

In addition, Scorpia will sing! (And she's actually really good at it if not very subtle about making up lyrics on the fly.) Mostly it will be covers of popular pokeworld songs, but she has come up with one all by herself all about how awesome and loving and great at hugs Bewears are! She will sing directly to anybody who looks like they aren't going to donate, and her shiny Stufful Funshine is more than willing to turn those big, sad eyes on people at Scorpia's side. Please help the Bewears, won't you?

And if someone doesn't donate...

Doppio will be mingling in the crowd playing innocent bystander, and picking the pockets and bags of those jerks, while making sure the proceeds are kept hidden to get to Rocket later. His accomplices are several Pokemon who have useful skills and/or training in picking pockets (including: Scorpia's Mimikyu and Zorua, Steven D's Shuppet, Doppio's Morpeko, and Steve P's Grimmsnarl and Haunter) who will sneak him their ill-gotten gains for him to discreetly hide (hands are useful) until it's safe to get them to Rocket headquarters. Mostly the pickpockets are focusing on snatching money and credit cards while people are distracted by the performance group but they'll also grab things like TMs, evolution stones or other valuable Pokemon-related items.

All of the pickpocket squad are trying to be as sneaky as possible, but in case somebody attracts suspicion or gets caught, they're to make a visible and fast exit in the opposite direction of the distraction/hug squad.

And then at the end of the heist, everyone will reconvene at base, tally up the loot and turn it over to the admins. Scorpia will give 20% of the actual donations to Rocket at the end of the two days (and honestly probably take the amount out of her personal funds instead so that all the money they actually raised goes to the Bewears but shhh) in addition to the stolen loot, just in case everybody was so moved that they donated.

Now THIS is the kind of heist and conjob action the Admins are looking for.

They don't care about her extremely(?) legit(??) cause, but they do care about the goods, and also the money, and also the fact that she didn't blow anything up or come back with anything super weird or ask for anything really expensive in return for her work.

Scorpia will receive praise for these things... and also a shiny KOMALA, level 4. It's just been impossible for them to sell, even shiny.... because it drools in its sleep... and it's always asleep. The drool is really... stringy, too, like dog spittle but worse. They won't tell her that, though. Not directly. Instead, Uncle Haban points out that its log(?) is the same colour as her Bewears! Awwww.

Steve Palchuck will receive an East Sea Gastrodon (that's the pink one with cow horns), level 30.

Doppio will receive two Mimic TMs.
