Welcome, valued Team Rocket member! Pursuing a career in the greatest organization of all time, eh? Well, you're in the right place!

This is the hub where you will find information on all team Missions. As stated in the Code of Conduct, all Rocket agents must be available to accept at least one mission at all times. They won't all be glamorous or exciting, but even mopping floors in one of the bases can lead to greater things! Team Rocket offers work in a variety of fields, with the primary openings being in four specific categories: maintenance, field work, science, and of course, the goal of most aspiring agents, leadership.

Maintenance: Brand new agents will likely be handed these jobs before anything else, as they're the easiest and least likely to result in police attention if you screw them up! They can include things like janitorial and laundry work in the bases, or serving fellow agents in the cafeteria.

Field Work: The most common missions take place in the field! Theft (whether it's as small as shoplifting some Potions or as big as participating in a full-scale heist) falls into this category, as does the simplest available mission, Pokemon acquisition. Anything you do to benefit the team outside of official Rocket premises can be considered field work!

Science: Science mission work mostly takes place out of the public eye, in official Rocket laboratories. The perfect field for more technically-minded agents, these jobs can include anything from pioneering new technology to experimentation on Pokemon themselves. Or it can be as dull as data entry. Grab a lab coat and see what you get!

Leadership: Getting sick of sharing those dorms? How does a private helicopter sound? Agents with lofty aspirations and a good work ethic may advance through the ranks and claim authority for themselves, earning swanky privileges, and more underlings to boss around than you can shake a stick at. This isn't to say that higher status doesn't come with its own responsibilities-- "Privates" and "Betas" are still expected to accomplish other missions (though usually not the maintenance ones-- that's grunt work), and even "Alphas" will usually work in the field. 'Leadership' jobs can even include tasks that just happen to require both specialized skills and a certain amount of trustworthiness to the Team. The main difference is tackling missions from an organizational, independent-thinking standpoint rather than just following orders-- YOU'RE the boss now!! Go put the fear of Arceus in some new recruits!

CARLY NAGISA (Retired character)

STATION: Two Island

JOB: Intelligence Gathering, Base Establishment

NOTES: After successfully mapping the Whirl Islands, Team Rocket was more than happy to approve of Carly's requested reassignment to the Sevii Islands. After their first failed attempt at establishing a presence on the islands, Carly's reassignment will hopefully be laying the foundations for new Rocket base in this part of the region.

Vinegar Doppio (epitaffio)

STATION: In the field

JOB: Infiltration / information gathering.

NOTES:Though broadly speaking a group of enthusiastic nutjobs, the Legendary Seekers are still Johto and Kanto's prime hotspot for information on Legendary pokemon. Sure, 95% of it might just be blurry pictures and bull, but it is that 5% Team Rocket is after. Doppio has been assigned to infiltrate the group as a regular member and keep his ear to the ground regarding any rumours about Legendary Pokemon locations, sighting or items related to them. Of course, he will be expected to only report on actual viable leads, and not every blurry picture of someone's Ursaring walking through the forest.

Min-Gi Park (outofsynth)

STATION: Vermilion City

JOB: Squirtle Supervisor

NOTES: There are a very small gang of Squirtles in Vermilion City that Min-Gi's trained up to recruit for Team Rocket within the city and the surrounding routes. For the moment recruitment's all they're doing, but maybe one day there will be more to this. There might also be a minor rivalry between the criminally inclined Squirtles doing it for themselves, and the ones with ties to the Rockets.

REQUESTING A MISSION:

"Hard" missions will only be given upon demand, as they may come with specific instructions and usually require at least a "Beta" rank. On the other hand, "Regular" and "Easy" missions can be picked up anytime by any team members that meet the requirements, if there are any.

Individual, personalized missions (player-determined) can also be requested at any time, and may vary beyond just the 'official' locations above-- the listed missions are guidelines, not restrictions! Get creative-- you may find yourself rewarded handsomely!

REQUESTING A REWARD:

Let no one say that working for Team Rocket is thankless-- those who prove themselves worthy may request all manner of exciting rewards!

Maybe they've been distinguishing themselves by taking charge and deserve to move upward in the ranks, or maybe they pulled off a heist so impressive that Auntie Apricorn wants to give them a rare item from the Rocket vault! The greater the achievements, the better the loot!

Team Rocket has access to many resources and can even, depending on the request, offer rewards that aren't available via other means...

Steven Durante + Jules, Emet-Selch, Scorpia, Tyler, Doppio, Steve P, Diego, and London

CURRENT RANK: Steven D is the Beta in charge of the project.

Steve P, Emet-Selch and Doppio are all Privates. Tyler WAS a Private, but Arceus yeets him home between when he does his part of the plan and when it comes time to go to the Admins.

Diego, London, Jules, and Scorpia are Grunts.

REQUESTED REWARD: Jules wants a Shiny!

Scorpia wants to be made Force Captain whatever the bosses think will help her continue to do more/better work for Team Rocket! No really. That’s her actual request. She’s enthusiastic like that. (Steven might whisper to the bosses that she might not be a bad person to promote soon, given how hard she already works for the team. That she’s his protege has absolutely nothing to do with it, of course.)

Doppio, London, Diego, and Emet-Selch don’t have any particular requests, so give them something cool? (Tyler didn't either, but he's gone now, so maybe the admins can make a note for if he ever comes back?)

And finally, Steven D, the ringleader of the project, wouldn’t mind a cash bonus (given that he’s going to need to start paying his own rent now that he’s single again) but mostly he’d just like the admins to remember his consistent good work for the future. After all, with Jack gone, someone will eventually need to become the resident Alpha among the otherworlders.

(Oh right. The two native Rockets grunts that Steven is going to bully into helping out just want to make up for fucking up by letting Armin steal back the Lapras/getting arrested, so helping out on a hopefully successful mission will make the Admins cool with them again, right?)

JUSTIFY THE REWARD:

Right, so! After hearing about the job that Jules pulled on the Celadon Department Store, that got Steven to thinking. Sure, with all the upgraded surveillance and security concerns, that meant they couldn’t do the fun, flashy heists that he’d learned the ways of crime until the heat died down--which didn’t seem to be liable to happen any time soon, unfortunately--but that doesn’t mean there’s no crime left to do.

It would just have to be more subtle crime. Which is fine. Steven can do subtle things if he needs to.

Now, back when Steven was a local news reporter before being subsequently kidnapped by fairies and then Arceus, he once had to do a piece on ATM skimmers. In our world, an ATM skimmer is a device placed on an ATM machine or a credit card reader that will capture the credit card number/information off the magnetic strip. Some of them, in fact, also allow for people’s pin numbers to be captured.

So Steven went to Jules and asked him if he could make something like an ATM skimmer that would work on the payment methods people use here in the World of Pokemon--and also on the bank ATMs of course. To which Jules replied ‘Is the Pope Catholic?’ So Steven got Jules on making some and then he got Emet-Selch on helping out with that so that they could make more of them faster and then Emet-Selch decided to check over Jules’ work because he’s Like That and Jules got So Offended, but it’s fine. It’s fine.

Anyway. Getting those prepared took up a lot of November and meanwhile Steven fell asleep for a week while he went home for six years, but he’s awake now and plenty of skimmers are ready to be put into place and luckily he’s got some volunteers among his fellow otherworld Rockets to help with that. Oh and he’s totally bullying a pair of native Rocket Grunts (Benni and Claude, who’ve worked with us before under Jack’s direction) into also helping place the skimmers, since they’re finally out of jail after they fucked up and lost Armin’s Lapras and are looking for ways to make nice with the admins.

So along with those two losers, Steve Palchuk, London, Tyler, Scorpia, Diego, and Doppio all come aboard to help with the skimmer placing as it goes into motion as soon as Steven gets back from his little nap on Armin’s Island. Now, not all of them are particularly subtle people in themselves, but that’s fine. The people who can’t do sneaky and subtle get to make (non-explosion) distractions for the store employees so that the people who can do sneaky and subtle place the skimmers. (Doppio in particular is really good at faking being an innocent bystander.)

Obviously, all this skimmer placing is to be done in plainclothes. To help circumvent any electronic surveillance, Emet’s flock of Rotoms are messing with nearby hidden cameras to turn them off for a few seconds while the skimmers are placed--and since they turn back on after a few seconds, it’s easy enough to assume that’s just a natural camera hiccup. Tyler is also using his psychic types to push attention off the Rockets placing the skimmers, making them extremely unnoticeable and hard to remember.

Of course they start out placing these in Goldenrod, but if it looks like these are working, they’ll move onto other cities in Johto and hopefully, eventually, Kanto. And once the first slew of skimmed numbers/information comes in, Steven will round up his helpers and bring them to the admins so they can see what good, subtle criminals they are.

Well. Except for Tyler. Because Arceus yeeted him home literally the day after they went out to place the skimmers.

The admins are thrilled by this one. Lots of cash, no explosions, and no way to track it back to Team Rocket!

Infamy and notoriety are essential to the Team's success, but there's such a thing as too much heat... especially leading up to a full scale operation.

While the admins are reserving more specific rewards for their coming Holiday Heist (TM), this was a very welcome surprise for them, and everyone involved receives a nice cash bonus for their work!
