Character Name: JW Series: Original Character Timeline: I've written two novellas for him so far, so this takes place after the second one. WHEN YOU HAVE TO MAKE YOUR OWN GD WIKI
World Info:
JW's setting is sort of your run-of-the-mill Earth with hidden supernatural things that have some kind of magnetic attraction to main characters. It's sort of a monster-of-the-week kind of setting for a series of short stories I'm working on. As of right now there are no real history differences between our own world and the Earth JW is from. I may eventually decide that some famous figure like Elvis was actually a unicorn or something, but that doesn't really matter in the long run.
There are three classes of supernatural being: undead, fae, and monsters. Undead contains everything from ghosts to vengeful 'demons' to homebrew necromancy projects. Fae are kind of that weird blurry space between creature and spirit and they don't even give a damn. They are unstable, free-roaming, and snobby. Don't mess with them. Monsters are simply creatures bound by biology that haven't been discovered or have fallen off the radar. They're the rarest.
Other dimensions exist and if you know where the thin places are you can pass between them. Like the layers in an onion, there are infinite dimensions circling the main 'base' dimension the stories take place in. Some are just blurry in-between places. It's possible to slip out of the world behind a gas station in Tennessee and pop out of some lady's bathroom in China. However you must know where the roads are. Otherwise, you might just wind up somewhere in the vacuum of space and promptly turn inside out. Some dimensions are exactly the same as Earth except you, dear reader, you actually play the saxophone. Or if you already play the sax, you're a belly dancer. Or maybe a rabbit.
There are three notable dimensions that cluster close to the base-world and make up something called The Memory Dogma: The Attic, The Underbed, and The Basement. They are guarded by three horses: Lost, Forgotten, and False. The memories of man collect here and sort of form a 'mindscape' for Earth as a whole. Some think fae are formed from this place but nobody knows.
One unique feature of this setting is that every single sentient being capable of reasoning between right and wrong has something called a Mindscape. This is a world that exists inside the individual's head and is populated by manifestations of facets of their personality. The happenings and appearance and even the functionality of this little world reflect what has happened to the character. Everyone's is different and VERY rarely do people even know theirs exists. JW has had brief brushes with his since he did some involuntary dimension hopping, but doesn't really understand it. He just knows there's an annoying trap-mouthed man in his head.
Personality:
You know that sign at McDonalds that says 'refills same visit only'? They put that there because of people like JW.
James Walter picks his way through life glancing over one shoulder. Street smart and shifty-eyed, if he can take it, he will. Finders keepers, losers SUCK. Growing up in poverty with an abusive father, hopping from home to home and then world to world, and suddenly landing himself in an important position as an adult has given JW a skewed sense of WANT vs NEED. Suddenly an entire town is at his mercy and his fingertips. If it's yours, he covets it. If it's addressed to him, he gives it the stink eye and dunks it in water first because why are you being so nice? Nobody is nice for no reason! Money is his weakness though and it's an easy way to twist his arm no matter how high on the ladder he sees himself. JW has gone so far as to swallow live goldfish for a crisp twenty dollar bill.
And yet, he hates those with money. He envies and despises them and lets his envy leak over onto other privileged people like folks with high educations, claiming them to be know-it-alls. JW is petty and delights in any failure he sees them face. He is a hypocrite in denouncing things like fancy cars and expensive houses when he himself would absolutely indulge in the very same.
On the social end of things, JW tends to go on long solo walks, only coming home when it's time for dinner. When he does hang around people, he tends to be a wallflower and provide snide internal commentary. He isn't good at talking to people outside of ranting, small talk, or making sales. People are more trouble than they're worth in his opinion and if he can't get anything out of them, what's the use in bothering at all? As much as he'd like to call himself a lone wolf, he's more of a lonely wolf. JW is mentally ill and his schizophrenia causes him to come off as rude (even when he isn't trying to be) and distant. He's in a lot of pain due to it and other issues with his body so his fuse is short and his patience is thin as he is. When JW actually does make an effort to reach out and attempt to make friends, he tends to shove his entire leg down his throat. The best way to be friends with JW is to not take anything he says personally because he doesn't mean half of it.
James does surprisingly well with children though. He's ashamed of his incomplete education and doesn't feel nearly as pressured to sound 'smart' around them. He talks to them like equals. Their protection is very important to him. That is, until they become teenagers. He finds himself easily frustrated by them since he is suddenly an opponent. He reads too much into the attitudes they put on as they come into their own and, in turn, makes himself a great target for anybody looking to ruffle his feathers. JW somehow seems to age at least ten years when he comes within a twelve foot radius of a single Hip Teen.
Though his moral compass is wobbly (lying, cheating, stealing, more lying, leading people he doesn't like into fae-infested groves so that they end up on the receiving end of their pranks instead of him) he's not the sort to go out of his way to be cruel. He might make messes in public spaces but he won't do things that could cause harm, such as setting fires or leaving broken glass laying around. He doesn't like animals very much and while he will shout and shoo strays, he wouldn't hurt them. He smokes weed like a train that smokes a lot of weed and has been tempted by other substances but will turn right around and judge anybody with a scowl if he sees them drinking, toting himself as a teetotaler.
James Walter is not a terribly good man, but he's not a bad man either. That's what is most important.

Here they are. Alright, girl, pick out the one you like the best.
[He and Psyduck approach the candle shelf of the little new age store. It’s been a favorite ever since he started giving Psyduck spa days to help with her headaches.]
[Psyduck waddles up to the selection and proceeds with great ceremony. She points to a candle and JW lowers it down for her to smell. Cinnamon. Jasmin. Sandlewood. Fresh Rain. Each gets a pass until JW picks up a pine-scented one. He takes a whiff himself first and smiles before holding it out for her.]
I think you’re gonna like this one.
[The yellow Pokemon carefully takes the candle in her little paws and sniffs it deeply. Her tail erupts into an excited waggle. ]
Psyduck!
Heh, I thought so.
[He lowers the shopping basket hanging off his elbow so she can put her purchase in herself.]
Player Name: Absol E-mail: N/A Preferred Contact: Plurk @ darkestabsol Timezone: PST Current Characters in Victory Road: Ryou Bakura (Note: the Zexal timeline is considered a completely separate timeline from the original manga timeline that Ryou is from, so III and Ryou have absolutely no way of knowing each other and no reason to interact.)
Character Name: III (Birth name: Michael Arclight) Series: Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal Timeline: Episode 49/Immediately after his duel against Yuma but before he returns home. Canon Resource Links:Here! Note that the wiki preferences dub names over the original names and will refer to III as 'Trey'.
Personality: III is, by initial appearances, a very polite, sweet young man. He's introduced defusing an argument between his two older brothers, is visibly uncomfortable when he has to watch his father torture Haruto for his power, and in general is the nicest person of the Arclight family.
Of course, when the rest of the family consists of a father obsessed with getting revenge against the man who wronged him, an emotionally distant eldest brother, and a second older brother who barely masks his sadism behind a veneer of kindness, it's not hard to come off as the nicest.
III is shown to be willing to do just about anything for his family. He willingly follows through on his father's orders to deliver a Number card to Ryoga, knowing full well that the Number card would try to take control of Ryoga on delivery. He also provides very little pushback on his older brother IV's behaviour, standing by and watching quietly as IV tormented two duelists in a curbstomp of a duel. (And the one time he did object to anything IV did, it was because IV was deliberately showing footage of Haruto being tortured to Kaito, something that made III deeply uncomfortable due to his discomfort with torturing a child.)
At his worst, he's downright cruel, demonstrating a willingness to go out of his way to torture and eventually kill Astral during a duel in a fit of desperate envious rage, along with simultaneously tormenting Yuma in an attempt to hurt him/make Yuma feel just how alone III felt. Additionally, III has a tendency towards trying to sacrifice himself for the sake of others, best seen when he attempted to use the card Final Prophecy to force a tie between him and Yuma, fully accepting that this would mean sacrificing himself in the process.
On top of all this, III also has a tendency towards intense jealousy of anyone with a healthier family than him; as shown when meeting the Tsukumo family only resulted in him running off in tears at how messed up his own family was by comparison, followed by resolving himself to follow his family's revenge scheme more closely.
So, you might ask, why is III like this? The answer is intense, undying loyalty.
III is ridiculously loyal to and protective of his family, despite everything. To that end, everything he does is generally done in the hopes that things will go back to normal/how things used to be once the revenge scheme is done. He has essentially put himself in the role of a protector or a metaphorical 'sword and shield', willingly doing whatever it takes to keep his brothers and father safe.
(Even murder. Even self sacrifice. III will dirty his hands and make himself complicit in his family's schemes and kill potential threats and sacrifice himself if he thinks that's what he has to do to see his family safe and restored to normal.)
That said, he does (mostly) maintain his polite, sweet nature. He willingly apologizes to Yuma for his role in the Haruto torture incident, deeply regretting what happened. He also ultimately places his trust in Yuma to save his family where he could not, explicitly calling Yuma his first and only friend in the process. However, that politeness can be twisted into something distinctly more smug when faced with an opponent, as he turns out to have a surprisingly sharp (but still technically polite!) tongue when he wants to.
Finally, III has a deep interest in history, expressing strong excitement at finding himself in an attic full of ancient artifacts. This ties to his sense of curiosity, something that drove him to go out of his way to investigate how Yuma could duel without hatred after meeting him for the first time. However, his curiosity towards history is tempered by his belief in 'out of place artifacts'/Ancient Aliens type beliefs, with III once expressing his belief that said out of place artifacts came from other dimensions. His Duel Monsters deck even uses the Chronomalies archetype, an archetype themed around historic artifacts with an Ancient Aliens bent.
(To be fair, III's father was investigating interdimensional portals, providing a reason for why III would believe in this stuff, but.)
As nice as he can be though, III is at the end of the day an Arclight, and none of the Arclights escaped being messed up by the family drama, not even the nicest of the lot.
Pokémon Information Affiliation: Rocket Starter: Deerling and Vulpix Password: Atomic Fireball
Victory Road Sample: III has set up camp for the night, marking his first night on the road ever since he finally got out of Rocket training and became able to do...pretty much whatever he wants.
(Though, 'setting up camp' is a bit of a generous term when Team Rocket didn't give him much in the way of camping equipment. It's really more like picking a good flat spot and being very thankful it's still warm.)
"Well, they really aren't generous with giving out gear, huh?" The Vulpix beside III is silent, apparently content to curl by his side as he looks up at the stars. III goes silent too, thinking about how he wound up here and what he left behind in his own world.
"...I wonder what IV and V would do if they wound up here?" III muses, trying to remain upbeat about his circumstances. "This is kind of like what happened to my father, if he'd ended up in a world like this instead of the Barian World..."
And oh, he can't hold it together. III is quietly sniffling, homesickness kicking in as he thinks about his absent family.
Beside him, the Vulpix blinks, then cuddles closer, letting III absently pat him as he struggles to pull himself together.
"...Sorry, I've just never been completely on my own before. Even when I was in the orphanage, I at least had IV with me." III honestly doesn't know how much the Vulpix understands, but it's nice to be able to talk to someone about all this. At the least, he does seem to understand that III is upset, so III will take that much.
For a while, III lapses into silence, watching the stars as he pets his Vulpix, before eventually rolling over to try to get some sleep.
"We should sleep. It's going to be a trip to get to those ruins I heard about." The Vulpix blinks again at his trainer's words, then curls up, tucking his nose under his tails next to III as the duo settle in for sleep.

Character Name: Vash the Stampede Series: Trigun Stampede Timeline: Around the time of the episode Once Upon a Time in Hopeland Canon Resource Links:Trigun Stampede on the Trigun Wiki.
Personality: First and foremost, Vash is kind to literally everyone he comes into contact with, no matter what ends up happening between them later on; he has always loved humanity as a whole, and having crash-landed on a planet in which humanity is heavily dependent on the Plants to survive ( thanks for that, Nai, by the way ) means that, unintentionally, he ends up helping them keep up their ( comparatively poor ) quality of life by 'repairing' their Plants when they get too close to using up their energy resources. Because that's a whole thing, the other Independent Plants being used up until they reach their threshold, and ultimately being pushed beyond it just for the sake of one last burst of energy. But that's neither here nor there.
He is loyal to humanity as a whole, even if he knows they will never accept him for who and what he is, if they knew the whole of it. Because he's different, but because he can pass for a human when he tries hard enough, it's easy for him to put on this "I'm just a silly little guy" persona, have a smile for everything and move right along as though he isn't carrying the weight of the known world on his shoulders for the sake of keeping his own cover. He cares so deeply for the ones he cares about — even if he's only just met them — that he would much rather put himself in danger than risk letting an innocent party be hurt. Or otherwise traumatized in any way. This is just one of the reasons he's spent the last century and some change collecting all the scars he has littered across his body. They all tell a story of his loyalty, and what his morality costs him.
Despite caring so deeply for literally everyone, he also has a bad habit of not letting anyone close, and for good reason; his brother will not hesitate to use anyone against him, because he knows it will take nothing at all to appeal to his brother's altruistic-to-a-fault nature. Vash has never thought it would be safe for him to have friends, but he'll throw things around like "don't hesitate to call me if you need anything! I'll come running, I swear!" because he means what he says, even if something keeps him from keeping his promises, and that just makes him feel worse at the very end of it. Can't save someone because he didn't get there in time? Absolutely, one hundred percent his fault, and he's the sort to feel guilt like a physical blow. And carry it around with him for the rest of his days, because it's a constant reminder of his own shortcomings and how he needs to be better in order to keep those he cares about safe.
He's a pacifist, at the bottom of everything, and will find any and every reason to not use any kind of physical force in order to solve a problem — unless there's no other choice, and even still, he would much rather find himself hurt than some innocent bystander. He's always going to be a huge fan of using his words to get his point across, even when there are a handful of guns pointed directly at his face, and. Uh. At that point? He might just try to cry his way out of it. He's an enormous crybaby, and can turn on the tears like the flipping of a switch, but it doesn't actually work in his favor as often as he would like. Doesn't stop him trying, though.
Here's a nice, concise breakdown of what I feel are his most important core traits, just for fun.
( + ) — incredibly kind to everyone, despite how he might be treated; that isn't something that matters to him — willing to stop and help anyone that might need it, regardless of what it might require of him — loyal to humanity as a whole, even if they will never accept him as what he truly is; he just wants to see humans thrive — generally a pretty upbeat, happy guy with a sunny disposition, but please see below for an explanation of why that is also a bit of a negative trait
( - ) — a large chunk of his happy-go-lucky demeanor is a mask for how hurt and lonely he is on the inside, and he refuses to let anyone see that side of him — despite desperately wanting to connect with people and make friends, he tends to keep them all at arm's length, because he's terribly afraid of letting anyone get too close to him; that's never going to end well as long as his brother is on his heels — downright refuses to kill any of his opponents, not only because he would prefer to resolve things in a peaceful way, but he doesn't think anyone has the right to choose whether or not someone lives or dies. this is why his body is nothing but a map of scars from all the years he's spent as a pacifist — self-sacrificial; he very clearly states in episode twelve that he doesn't care what happens to him as long as humanity survives and thrives; he doesn't care that they don't accept him now, he'll keep running and running and running for an entire lifetime until he can settle down by their side again, until he can be with them, because that's one of the only things that matters to him at the bottom of it all — here's an extra one because i can't leave it out; he's a giant crybaby, and has a tendency to try to cry his way out of situations if he thinks he can get away with it; it doesn't work very often, but he can turn on the waterworks at the drop of a hat
Pokémon Information Affiliation: Trainer! Starter: Wooloo
Victory Road Sample: He really doesn't have a chance to be groggy or take his time getting up, does he? Which is almost a shame, because he'd been so comfy, and it's so rare that he actually gets a decent night's sleep that he actually likes to enjoy them when he can. But if he's got somewhere to be —
He's dressed and out the door with a shooing of hands and before he knows it, the door is closed behind him; he doesn't think to try to get back in, because he has some sort of journey to go on, right? But since he's trying to get his bearings, he might as well go through the backpack hanging off of his right shoulder, because it's always good to know what you're going into something with, even if it's something as simple as some water and a snack, and having spent as long as he has in the literal desert, water is always going to be a the top of his list for things he's going to want with him, going forward.
Let's see … there's clothes, which is more than he's ever been able to say for what he carries in his own pack, given the chance ( clothes are difficult to come by, okay? ), a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap? Looks like … some food, he's not sure what the trail mix is but it looks like it might be pretty good, and he's still rummaging around when he hears something off to his left that isn't the music that has been playing since, probably, before he even realized.
What's going on there?
But that noise comes again, a very quiet bleating sort of thing and he finally looks down, taking in what is probably the fluffiest thing he has ever seen in all of his long years, and he's stooping down to get on its level without even thinking of anything else. His head tips to the side. "Hello," he says pleasantly, absently situating things back into his pack so nothing ends up getting lost. "Aren't you cute?"
He gets another bleat for his trouble, and the little thing plops down expectantly, and he's not. Entirely sure what it wants? His mouth pulls down into a slight frown. "Are you hungry? Thirsty?" Another bleat, and while it doesn't seem all that impatient, there also seems to be an air of come on, buddy, we've got places to be, don't we?
He reaches out tentatively with flesh fingers, scratching over its head, and gets the smallest nuzzle for his efforts. That immediately turns his frown back up into a smile. "My name's Vash," he finally says, because it seems like the little thing understands him, so why not make the proper introductions right off the bat?
"Looks like we're gonna be traveling together, huh?" Another bleat, and a more enthusiastic one, to be sure. "Might as well get started!"

Character Name: Edward Elric Series: Fullmetal Alchemist (Manga) Timeline: Chapter 53 pg 170 Canon Resource Links: Edward’s Wiki Page
Personality: Edward has a very dynamic personality. The first thing most people would notice is how loud he is. If he has an opinion on something, he’ll voice it and he doesn’t care much for how it might make others feel, making him come off as an arrogant asshole. However, this doesn’t mean that Ed isn’t aware of his faults and his naivete. If he has evidence to show that he is wrong or lacks understanding of something, he is not only open to listening and learning from sources that may have the truth, he actively seeks them out, even if the truth is painful. The best example of this is when Ed’s father makes a point about the failed human transmutation he and his brother performed that took away their bodies and whether or not they had actually transmuted their mother. This forces Ed to look back, exhuming the body and learning the truth about their mistake despite the intense fear and anxiety it puts Ed through. In the end, he is able not only to face this truth, but to learn and find hope in it as it points to a conclusion about getting his brother’s body back from the Gate.
Another key aspect of Ed’s personality are his strong morals and refusal to budge on them. While he’s not against hurting people (especially for those he thinks deserves it) he is absolutely against killing others no matter how they might have wronged him or those he cares about. He is caught by surprise and disgust when he sees other alchemists (for example, Shou Tucker) use alchemy to harm instead of help people and is haunted by the fact that the science he himself uses and relies on so much can be used for evil.
While he may not show it, Ed also cares deeply for the people around him and takes extra risks to keep those people safe. Whether it’s putting himself in between a serial killer and his childhood friend or risking his neck to make sure innocent bystanders aren’t hurt while he’s fighting for his life, Ed places a very high value on the life of others and very much understands that his action or inaction can impact them. If he does see that he has hurt others either directly or indirectly, he tends to carry a heavy sense of responsibility and guilt on his shoulders. This can be seen with how he views his brother’s situation and especially in the death of Maes Hughes, where he blames himself for getting him involved.
While other characters in the series often praise Ed for his intelligence, Ed is a big risk-taker and doesn’t often think things through. Ed is intelligent. His understanding of alchemy and becoming a State Alchemist when he was twelve is proof enough of that. He’s also capable of thinking on his feet and making elaborate plans when he has the time, as shown in how he handles the terrorists on the train and the situation in the Youswell coal mines respectively. However, there are plenty of moments where Ed rushes into fights without thinking that bites him in the ass, such as his fight with Greed in the Devil’s Nest where he lets himself get beaten up because of his anger and frustration before coming up with a plan for effectively fighting Greed. Another example is his plan to catch a homunculus where Alphonse has to put his foot down and point out that they can’t just “wing it” and see what happens, prompting them both to team up with Ling and Lan Fan. Ed’s emotions often get the better of him and it takes other people to hold him back or put him in his place.
Pokémon Information Affiliation: Trainer Starter: Cubone “Skull”
Victory Road Sample: Violet City. Ed was well aware of the Pokemon gym here, and he would definitely be checking it out, but first, he wanted to explore, get a lay of the land so to speak. Skull, his Cubone, was seated on his shoulder taking in the sights along with his trainer. They had a rough start, but things were improving the more time they spent together. A Mareep also trotted along side the both of them. Ed had managed to catch her along the same trail that connected Cherrygrove and Violet.
The first destination? Sprout Tower. It dominated the skyline of the city and seemed to be an important landmark. Ed stood a distance from the entrance, watching the monks tends to the grounds before gazing up and noticing the structure sway slightly. “What do you think? Wanna check it out?”
“Cuuuu!” Skull pointed to tower with his bone club. If there were trainers in there, bring ‘em on!
The Mareep let out a “Maaaa” and trotted towards the monks to answer. Ed followed, allowing the sheep to greet the caretakers.
“Hello young trainer!” The monk lay a hand on the friendly Mareep. “Have you come to challenge the tower?”
“Cubooooone!”
“I’m pretty sure he means ‘yes.’ What’s this challenge?”
The monk gave a hearty laugh at the Cubone. “Starting on the second floor, there are other monks and their Pokemon who train diligently. Win against each one, and you can battle Elder Li.”
Skull was practically jumping up and down on his trainer’s shoulder. Let’s go! Let’s go! The Mareep grabbed the bottom of Ed’s jacket in her mouth and tugged towards the tower’s entrance. She wasn’t a brawler like the Cubone, but new trainers and Pokemon meant new friends and she was all over that idea.
“Okay, okay! We’re going! Save your energy for the fights!” Ed gave a friendly wave to the monk and let his Pokemon drag him inside. Ed was first drawn to the swaying pillar in the center of the building. Looking up, he could catch a glimpse of the floors above as it gently moved to and fro. He was skeptical about the building being able to handle battles taking place inside, especially on the upper floors, but from the signs posted and the general atmosphere, it seemed like a practice that had been taking place here for a long time.
He ascended the staircase to the second floor, both Pokemon more than ready to take on the challenge.

Character Name: Calliope Macabra or Cali for short. Series: OC Timeline: After Graduating Med School (24 years old)
Original Character Background: Standing at 5’4” in platform sneakers (she is 5’1” without the platforms), Cali is a fairly bizarre sight to behold in her plague doctor getup to the point no one really has ever seen her face and her love for very brightly colorful things is incredibly well known. Her hair is tied up in fluffed up pigtails with brightly colored bubble hair ties and plastic hair clips. Cali wears a modified cat ear hat that she can pull her pigtails through and is rarely seen without some sort of knee length skirt of some sort (She likes the really fluffy ones). Cali’s mask is a modified plague doctor mask littered with colorful and fanciful stickers that keeps the disease she carries inside while pumping pure oxygen to her that is scented like cotton candy. Due to being pumped with nothing BUT pure oxygen and her highly sugary diet, this has made Calli pretty hyperactive and overly happy about everything. Clothing wise, Cali wears a long sleeved rainbow striped turtleneck top with a hot pink hoodie, a fluffy knee length star print skirt, striped leggings to match the turtle neck, and blue gloves to the point no one has seen her skin either. In short, Cali is a walking, talking Lisa Frank fever dream of boundless hyper active happiness and joy. Growing up, Cali always wanted to be a doctor like her mother Miranda and when she graduated high school, that’s exactly what Calliope applied for when picking out her college. During her college experience, Cali did work as a volunteer nurse to gain better experience for the future job she had in mind.
Calliope is an illegal genetic experiment made about twenty four years ago by this BioTech company, Epsilon Incorporated, that works on biological weaponry and various things sold on the intergalactic black market. Without the mask and the cat-eared hat, Calliope is an anthropomorphic thylacine hybrid of some sort with blue colored eyes and golden tiger like markings(it is possible she has some human genetic material in there, but who’s really able to say?) Due to how Calliope was made, a hybridized disease was formed inside of Cali that she is immune to but can totally spread to others. In short, Cali initially was made as a living bio weapon, the problem was that the disease is relatively harmless causing only hallucinations, lasts only twelve hours, and that’s about it. Six or so months into life, Cali was taken by Miranda, one of the scientists in the group back when she was still known as Frieda Hoppes. To sum things up in a neat package, Frieda and her wife ran off with an infant Calliope and completely changed their identities to avoid being found by the highly questionable company along with moving planets. Since then, Cali’s mothers have made sure every part of Cali is covered to avoid identification along with providing Cali a happier childhood than she would’ve had beforehand. Cali knows some details, but not a lot and is pretty alright with the situation though she still takes care to avoid identification now that she’s out of the house to live her young adult life. Due to how short Cali’s tail is, it's easy to hide under the fluffier skirts she owns, especially if she has the tail hidden under one of the skirt’s layers.
- Their world (OCs): Futuristic Sci Fi on a human colonized exo planet called Orion 34.
- Their history (OCs and customizable/silent protagonists): -Her conception as an experimental bio weapon that had mixed results: The disease she harbors is a twelve hour bug that causes LSD like hallucinations, nonlethal. This is the reason why Cali has her full body/mask coverage, preventing it from spreading. - Cali’s adoptive mother, Miranda, pretty much broke Cali out of the questionable lab she was born in at six months old. -Basically lived in hiding her whole life on a colony planet after her mothers fled from the previous home planet. By habit, the mask and full body covering clothing is something that’s going to be staying around for a long time.
- For customizable/silent protagonists: Cali is pretty open about her background, especially now that she’s not in a place that would get her hunted down. Cali is also the only character of mine I could think of that would absolutely be thrilled to be human along with the chance of not being a plague carrier (though she’s likely going to keep up the outfit with mask deal since that’s the only thing Cali has known her whole life till now)
Personality: Saturated optimism as bright as the clothing she wears, Cali is pretty much an extreme version of little Miss Sunshine. Cali is pretty much this little ball of easy going and happy energy that it is nearly vomit inducing just from how much she exudes. There is a lot of energy in Cali’s speech pattern and actions, possibly from the eternal sugar high she is on along with being on solid oxygen her whole life. No one is sure what Cali is like without the sugar or high oxygen consumption, though some wager she would considerably be much calmer than her current hyperactive state of being. Either that or that long fabled crash period before fully adjusting to the calmer demeanor after being removed by either one element.
If there were any form of insecurity in regards to Cali, it’d likely be her height (5’1”) as more often than not, Cali will always gravitate towards higher platform shoes to get that little height boost. When it comes to interacting with other people, Cali is very much the person that views everyone as a new friend to be made and is pretty chatty. Ironically, despite the hyperactive nature, Cali does have excellent bedside manners for the medical field. Cali has a very strong habit as though it is instinctual to pop stickers on people as a way of showing affection. There is one thing that does unnerve Cali, weirdly enough despite having similar aesthetics, are clowns (Cali doesn’t count Mr. Mime and Mime Jr. as clowns though, she’s chill with them).

Victory Road Sample:
Cali stirred from her slumber, waking up in a world that was clearly not her own, especially since there wasn’t signs of smog clouds from the city. In situations like this, a normal person would’ve rightfully been frightened out of their own mind at the sudden change. Cali, oh dear, Cali was ecstatic about the sudden change from the scenery as she got up from the ground and started wandering about at the new scenery. Nature was an alien thing to her as the grass flattened from each step of the rainbow layered platforms, before something caught Cali’s eyes. There on the ground was a small, weird apple looking creature that looked up at the technicolored fever dream personified as Cali stared right back at the fruit based critter through rose tinted lenses.
Cali wasn’t sure what this creature was, afterall, she never did take botany as a college course. Likewise, the Applin wasn’t sure what to make about this. Sure humans were always weird, but this human certainly took the cake and more. Suddenly, much to the displeasure of the Applin, Cali decided it was a very good course of action to pick up an unknown wild creature. It was palm sized and wriggled about wanting out of the gloved examination. Cali’s pupils dilated upon getting a better look at the creature and it was then clear, it was friendship at first sight. Much to the displeasure of the Applin, it ended up being carried away by super Miss Sunshine to wherever she was supposed to go. Certainly, Cali had no clue where she was going, but hey, that’s the spirit of adventure for you! The Applin, unfortunately would have to go along with this overly cheerful weirdo, humming a merry tune of some kind into the wild blue yonder.

Character Name: Giovanni (Formerly known as Griffith) Cicchetto Series: Infinity Nikki Timeline: Post Chapter 8 Canon Resource Links: Link
Personality: Normally Giovanni comes off as a kind, but reserved character. He doesn't emote much (Probably in part because of the whole being kidnapped and mistreated for 15 years things), choosing to let his words do most of the leg work for getting people to do what he wants. While it was only a cover for more nefarious deeds, he did get enjoyment with selling Wishflight Paper to Florawish and Stoneville, and seeing their happy faces. This shows that despite everything else, there is some truth to the kind persona he puts on.
That being said, when he wants something, he will stop at nothing to get it. He put people in magical comas in order to keep his freedom, he stole a divine artifact to put a stop to the guy in charge of his kidnapping (The Wish Master), he isekai'd the protagonist and put her through sometimes deadly tests to see if she was strong enough to put a stop to the Wish Master.
When he's not wearing his kind persona, he acts less restrained. While he still doesn't physically emote much, his tone is more dynamic and he moves around more. He also tends to say crueler things. This, however, is as much of an act as his kind persona is. In truth, he wants to be a good person, he enjoys seeing people smile, but he's been through a lot, and no longer believes in hope and wishes (He wants to, but he can't). He's willing to do what he believes needs to be done in order to achieve his goals, even if its seen as cruel to others, because being kind didn't get him anywhere.

[ Giovanni, clad in his Rocket Uniform is standing over a ledge, looking down upon a surprised Trainer. He smirks and takes his time, stepping on air, making his way to the ground below. His Gothita is in the shadows using Confusion to keep him in the air. ]
What do we have here? A lost Wooloo perhaps?
[ He laughs at the Trainer’s comeback, and finally steps on the ground. ]
Oh~? You think yourself more of a Lycanroc then? Prove it. Battle me.
[ He calls out his Murkrow, the Pokemon still is at a low level, but that’s okay. He’s a diversion anyway. He grins as the Trainer takes the bait and calls out their own Pokemon. An Emolga, an electric type. Not the best situation for him, but as long as his Murkrow can keep from getting knocked out immediately, he’ll be golden. As the, admittedly short, battle rages, his Gothita uses Confusion once again in order to stealthily remove the Trainer’s other PokeBalls from their belt. Giovanni smirks as his Murkrow is zapped out of the sky. He calls him back to his ball, and starts backing away. ]
Oh, you’re good~ I’ll leave you alone for now. Though…A word of advice. Be more aware of your surroundings in the future. Otherwise you might just lose something important to you.
[ He takes advantage of the Trainer’s confusion over his words to run off. He can hear the angry shouting a moment later, but it's too late. He’s got a head start, and doesn’t currently have the Trainer’s Pokemon with him anyway. He slows down after a few minutes and wanders around the Route until he’s certain he’s lost the Trainer. From there he makes his way to the predetermined spot he and his Gothita are supposed to meet up at. ]
That person really should’ve been more careful…

Character Name: Joseph Joestar Series: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Timeline: Part 2, right before attending his own funeral. Canon Resource Links: https://jojowiki.com/Joseph_Joestar (Small terminology note: Joseph's martial art, Sendo, uses an energy that is either translated as Hamon or Ripple. I'm going to be referring to it as Hamon, but they are the same thing.)
Personality: A good first impression of Joseph is that he's hot-headed, cocky and confrontational. He has no issues with starting fights, even getting physical inside places of business, and he struggles so badly with thinking his actions through that he often insults people or physically harms them before anyone can think to stop him. And most infuriatingly, he has the talent to back up his enormous self-esteem. He is extremely observant and naturally gifted with both visual calculus and human psychology, which often manifests in him seeming to read the minds of those around him and speak their lines before they do, based on his understanding of how people tend to function. He's also naturally gifted with martial arts, able to control Hamon without any formal training (similar to Qi in a lot of media) and able to pick up new technology like planes, cars and video games without much instruction.
If one were to ask Joseph himself, though - of course he's smart, but he's also a hero and a gentleman. He is always throwing himself into danger, defending the honor of those he cares about and protecting the weak from evil-doers and literal monsters. Everyone just needs to overlook the fact that he has a tendency to speak over those same people and insult them to their face, especially if they're women. He is actively working on all of his negative traits, slowly growing into an actual hero and learning to respect women (if for no other reason than the fact that most of the women he spends time with could kick his ass). Unfortunately, his canon only takes place within about a month, so he's currently at the stage of 'acting poorly and apologizing', not quite at 'thinking before he acts'. Motivation is difficult for him, which he'll admit freely, and motivation to change his attitude is even harder - even mortal danger doesn't tend to be enough for him to get serious, which nearly gets him killed multiple times. But within his canon, he does eventually chill out, and as an older man he'll be quite thoughtful and empathetic (at least compared to his younger years).
Despite his flaws, Joseph does have a charming swagger to him that tends to draw others in. He often has a mischievous and playful attitude, joking around even while in mortal combat, and while he loves pranks he's also quick to stop and apologize if he oversteps a serious boundary. He's deeply curious, and loves sharing what he learns about the world with other people, either by showing off technology and foods he's discovered or bringing up random trivia that's relevant to the current situation. And, as much as he acts terribly around other people, he cares very deeply about his friends and would die for them without hesitation. He just... might not ever get around to admitting he likes them that much. After all he never managed to stop fighting with his best friend, Caesar, right up until the day that Caesar died.
Pokémon Information Affiliation: Trainer Starter: Charmander (nicknamed Rush)
Victory Road Sample: Seven days ago, Joseph had woken up in a daze. The last thing he remembered was getting up to try and walk around, test his legs now that his knee-replacement had healed up and he had gained most of his motor function back. It was shocking how well he healed up after being shot into space by a volcanic eruption, but that must just be the Joestar tenacity at play. He had taken a few steps, blacked out, and woke up... somewhere else entirely. A new house, with a woman claiming to be his mother, and a new pet lizard who seemed just as upset as Joseph was that they were expected to travel together. His new Charmander had bitten him multiple times, and only really stopped after a new acquaintance (and several other people) instructed him on how to properly handle his Pokemon. Even now, he still feels that the Charmander hasn't fully forgiven him.
But that's all in the past, and there's no point in dwelling there. He's been in the Pokemon world for a week, and is staying at Mom's house yet again while he gets his bearings. Or rather, while he convinces his Charmander to like him enough that they can safely travel the roads. And in that vein, he's dug out the game system that whoever actually owned this room had stored away, and plugged it into the TV so they can both try it out.
"Now, Rush, I'm not going to waste either of our times explaining how to play - because I don't actually know either." He meant to lighten the mood, but the Charmander just looks frustrated with him. "Look... it can't be that difficult, we'll just slot the game cartridge in and then press buttons until we figure it out."
Rush sniffs the cartridge case inquisitively, and picks it up to investigate. It takes a bit of work with his stubby fingers, but he manages to pry the case open and show the manual tucked inside of it. It earns a derisive snort from Joseph.
"We don't need a manual, that's just going to waste time we could be spending in the game. Here, take the second controller."
The second controller isn't plugged in, but there also isn't a second character. It does not take long for Rush to figure that out, but the Charmander is happy to watch and occasionally press buttons just to participate. It puts Joseph in a good mood at least, even if he's struggling to figure the game out.

Character Name: Suzi Q Joestar Series: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Timeline: Post Battle Tendency Canon Resource Links:Right over here
Personality: A very, very ridiculous and bubbly woman that tends to come across as ditzy on the surface, she's very earnest in the way she acts and the way she does things. This tends to mostly show in the way she interacts with people, usually thinking the best of them until they show her that they don't have good intentions. Oddly enough her ditziness tends to work in her favor as she's pretty observant about the things and people around her and is able to deduce that something is off about someone without them seeming to know that she's doing it. Those are the main traits we tend to see from her, especially throughout Battle Tendency, but that's only really scratching the surface.
There is a brain underneath that blond hair of hers, caring for both family and friends if they get into or are about to get themselves into some sort of trouble. Only wishing the best for them and that they will get through whatever it is that they're getting involved with. She... also has a temper that doesn't tend to show often but when it does it's usually her being pushed over the edge to where whatever it was is just unforgivable. In the same vein as her having a brain underneath it all, she also has no problem being something of a gremlin, pointing out someone's flaws just to tease them and see how they react. Such as, say, pointing out that someone has weird lips and later going on to marry that exact same fool.
Pokémon Information Affiliation: Breeder Starter: Chikorita (Fiore)
Samples RP Sample:Here you go! Particularly relevant since same time period with them, basically.
Victory Road Sample: How much worse could it get, right? A new, unfamiliar place with a strange creature that seems to insist on coming with her, and people telling her to be careful of the tall grass. Something about wild animals attacking? Sounded weird to her since the creatures she'd seen so far seemed friendly enough. The little chikorita at her side, for instance, had been very intent on following her, plopping into her lap if she sat down, or being carried if she was feeling tired from all the walking.
Couldn't be that dangerous. Unfortunately, as soon as she's thinking that, is when the inevitable happens. A creature leaping at her and the chikorita from the shadows of the tall grass and Suzi's squealing as she stumbles back. Luckily her pokemon is quicker and more intent on dealing with this than her.
Even if by "dealing with this" that meant whipping that leaf on her head around to try and either calm the other creature down or get it to go away. Which isn't exactly how all of this is going to work as the creature (a bug at that) moves closer to them.
Suzi's by now managed to regain her bearings, blinking slowly at the... caterpillar? That looks like one, if a little off. "... This is what I'm supposed to be scared of?" Ridiculous. Luckily the chikorita seems to be finally getting through to the little bug who is instead turning around and crawling away as if nothing at all had just happened. How weird. "Fiore?" She calls gently, it doesn't take long for said chikorita to be happy that the caterpie is leaving as she trots back to her trainer.
"I... guess that works." She murmurs softly before scooping Fiore up into her arms with a soft sigh, though the chikorita seems more than happy to be scooped up and is happily chirping with a noise she can't quite describe and burying her face back into her trainer's chest while being carried out of the tall grass. This is just going to be her life now on, wasn't it?
Player Name: Dolly Mancer Preferred Contact: PMs and officially now on Plurk as Dolly_Mancer :3 Timezone: Central Time Current Characters in Victory Road: Calliope Macabre
Character Name: Catrina Calavera Series: OC-Changes (my comic series) Timeline: The night before Wormsmas (The worst Woozel Worm gift ever of becoming HUMAN)
Original Character Background:
- Their world (OCs): It’s a magical world called Doriene that my friend made in a region I crafted called Xana. Catrina comes from a floating city there called Estrella Del Rio which is considered the big magical capital on the Brilliant Blue River. Now in this world, everyone is born with a magical talent that is unique to the user that normally is revealed around four or five years of age (or earlier if the talent is far more active). In Doriene, the world has a pantheon of deities that like to interact with the mortal population much like the ancient Greek Gods would (They are on the same maturity level as Catrina apparently when it comes to boredom :<). It’s very much a high fantasy world, with many different sapient species living in there including a sapient plant species called the Borogoves. Most of the time when species are traveling from place to place on a journey, there are specialized magical items that aid in helping their user assume a form that would adapt to that area (say you have a normal air breathing land lover that wants to go to the underwater city of Mermari, they can rent a special item that turns them into merfolk).
There isn’t a lot of high tech there other than 2000s styled cellphones and internet, they mainly rely on magic as their main source of power here (like the flag that produces the smell of bacon). There are no movie theaters or television, so a lot of the entertainment is brought in by traveling bards and storytellers. Now back to Xana and the Brilliant Blue River, originally, the Ahuizotl population used to live inland in tree top cities before two mages ended up summoning a horrible monster that was immune to their toxins. This forced the entire population to build floating cities on the Brilliant Blue River and relocate there. The floating cities when viewed up above resemble river floral and fauna (Ventana Del Alma looks like a lily pad while Estella Del Rio resembles a little blue fish). The floating cities are like living in Venice with water roads and boats being the main form of transportation. Their crowned capital, Joya De la Corona Del Rio (or Joya for short), is the only one not shaped like flora or fauna. Instead, Joya is a crystalline domed city, resembling a royal orb while the wall-like protection looks like a crown. It is also the only floating city that doesn’t have a water road, instead there are paved roads and pathways for citizens to use.
- Their history (OCs and customizable/silent protagonists): Right over here, though gonna add the CW for dysfunctional family, implied abuse, murders, mafias, and Catrina’s Necromancy Stuff: https://gimmeeyeballs.dreamwidth.org/358.html
- For customizable/silent protagonists: Catrina is more than happy to talk (brag) about where she came from, but not so much about the bio family, that one is a sore subject. It will require some time and a bit of trust building. However, this will be something I’ll be checking with the other players first to make sure they’re comfortable if it does come up, these are pretty hard subjects.
Now the whole becoming human thing, that’s something that threw this gremlin for a loop. Catrina suddenly now has five digit fingered hands, no hand tail, no longer blue (she is so totally gonna be smearing on that blue face paint if given the chance), and suddenly going from cold blooded to warm blooded is a trip of sorts. Most importantly, no sound defect or toxic flesh (though it will come back for Fourthwall if anyone wants some sound defect tomfoolery or get rashes from hugging a toxic blue amphibian >:3) Just be prepared for Catrina to be an absolutely little pissant about it and be the greasy possum lady of fabled lore she was meant to be.
Personality: To dissect Catrina, we simply must have to break her down to the seven key personality parts that make up this opera singing necromancer: Reckless, Immature, Sarcastic, Foul Mouthed, Rude, Mischievous, and shockingly, Friendliness. Catrina is a pretty reckless person from the start or more specifically when she first managed to use her talent, sound defect, on her fellow classmate during a recital after having a clash with Catrina at age four (The kid ended up sounding like a frog during the recital and was the laughing stock for years to come). This led to Catrina learning ‘oh hey, I can do this without getting into trouble’ and pretty much used sound defect recklessly, mostly if she’s bored or if someone makes the mistake of really irritating the gnarly primadonna. This obviously bit Catrina in the butt plenty of times and inadvertently hone her skills in slipping away without being caught. This leads into the next major personality core, immaturity! Catrina ended up getting emotionally stunted at age fourteen when her brother fled the wretched Calavera household and said awful family started pouring more attention into Catrina as the replacement heir. The piles of private tutoring, the never ending opera performances, being trapped with a horrible monster baby sister, and not getting to have a lot of breaks, can do wonders for a child’s emotional wellbeing. Moment Catrina ran away from there, the sudden freedom was like a euphoric rush and Cat had no idea what to do about it. You can imagine the lovely little cocktail that was made with the already mentioned recklessness and being emotionally stunted. This was one of the many reasons Catrina was kicked out of plenty traveling bard groups in the past.
Sarcasm has always been an integral part of Catrina, both in her quick wit for humor, persuasion, and when she starts getting combative. Being a traveling bard beforehand, Catrina heavily favored her sarcastic and quick witted disposition in attracting crowds as well as maintaining attention to the performance. However, when conflicts happen, instead of being a reasonable adult, Catrina will resort to her scathing sarcasm. This was how she functioned for a long time with her brother, they normally were sarcastic with one another when they got into conflicts and normally they’d get along shortly after. Unfortunately, that’s not how society works, at all. There had been times when her sarcasm did come in handy by accident when paired with her persuasive abilities. A prime example would be the time her group got into a blocked off city by Catrina sarcastically stating they were the Avon Ladies (the guards bought into that fully somehow.) As mentioned, Catrina has a really foul mouth and isn’t afraid to talk like that around other folks (in fact she is very gleeful to teach kids the socially unacceptable curse words if given the chance.) Cursing is like breathing for Catrina, they simply cannot stay in. This is likely also from her older brother, he too is a foul mouth and possibly a lot worse than Catrina. Other times, cursing acts like a form of stress relief for Catrina when confronted with something that wasn’t expected. Speaking of stress relief, this leads right into rudeness. Catrina has a habit of being rude initially around others she hasn’t taken a shine to just yet. Remember how she was often kicked out of traveling bard groups? This is a defense mechanism, a Catrina way of saying ‘I don’t like this and I don’t want to be hurt again, stay away from me.’
Here we get to the last two of the better traits, kicking it off with mischievousness. Now Catrina gets bored insanely easily, it’s pretty hard not to have her stay bored for longer than say two minutes. To make herself not so bored, Catrina tends to pick something pretty mundane, say a cow for example and decides ‘Hey, why don’t we make that cow sound like an alligator!’ Catrina will fully go right ahead on that and watch as the general public have a gator scare with one very confused cow. It’s not common, but if someone REALLY rubs Catrina the wrong way, she’ll use sound defect on them instead for amusement. Mischievousness isn’t entirely exclusive to boredom, no, this can extend to people Catrina likes a lot as playful teasing or poking that aren’t mean spirited in any way. We can finally get to the last part, friendliness. If anyone does manage to make friends with the devil in blue, they’ll end up finding out that Catrina is actually a pretty thoughtful friend that’ll care a lot about them. It’s not shown much, mainly because Catrina really is afraid of being hurt again with abandonment, it will take some time and patience with her. This is sort’ve why I figured the Pokemon World might be a good fit in learning the values of friendship…just be aware of what you’re getting into…Catrina, no, don’t you dare name that poor Pokemon Slaughter-Water!
Pokémon Information Affiliation: Pokemon Trainer (She’s gonna be fixated on the ghost types) Starter: Gytrash Gurt-Dog the Hisuian Zorua :3
Now to say the Hisuian Zorua Catrina received was a grease trap would be an understatement of the year as Catrina finally got to greet her horrible traveling buddy. Catrina was doing the squatch position as she observed the little crime against nature Pokemon on Route 29, finally getting away from the weirdo human claiming to be her Mother. It was definitely a very ‘good’ first impression so far as Catrina finally caught that odor coming off the Zorua.
“Damn man, you look like you were a dumpster diving champion.” Catrina remarked as she scrunched her now human nose a bit after inspecting what she had to work with.
“Zorua!” The grodiest, ghostly fox pokemon responded as if to say ’Exactly fool! I AM THE GARBAGE KING!’
“At least you’ll be hard to grip onto during battles, I guess.” Catrina conceded that this is indeed her very gross starter that would put Muk to shame, “I have just the perfect name to give yah thought! From this day forth, you will be GYTRASH GURT-DOG! Are you ready to wreak havoc on our journey!?”
“Zo Zorua Zorua!” Gytrash screeched out his little dumpster warrior cry proudly in response!
“Hell yeah Gytrash! Now let’s get more ghosts into this team!” Catrina got up from her perched position to run off with the disgusting little monster.
Picking that horrible Hisuian Zorua with her bare hands (Catrina no you need to wash them after handling this one!) Catrina takes off down the route with Gytrash in hand. Gytrash wasn’t gonna argue it either, it was a free ride and better chance to spot some garbage close by for scavenging in! Ah yes, this friendship was one made in hell for sure..Catrina why oh why can you not ever be less gremlin like?

Character Name: Christine "Chris" Morgan Series: Original Character Timeline:Shortly after getting into street art
Original Character Background: Chris lives in a version of Earth very similar to modern day. In this version magic is real. The Arthurian Legends are also real history here. While magic is real, its kept mostly hidden for fear of persecution. The witch trials coming back are common fear among western magic users.
The Morgan family is one of the oldest remaining lines of western witches, able to trace their family back to Morgan Le Fay. As such, they have many traditions that they adhere to. Chris’ mother is the leader of the FayLight Coven in a small town called Gladville in Midwest USA. The coven itself is comprised of three different towns’ witches. Which isn’t as many as you’d think.
Chris always felt like a bit of a let down. Even though they always tried their hardest, they’ve never been great at magic. And as an only child, they are responsible for continuing the Morgan legacy. What they have been great at, however, is art. One day, they accidentally mixed their magic and the painting they were working on to create something new. They found that they can do magic decently well this way, even though its far from traditional. In their excitement to get out and explore this new form of magic, they started getting into street art, under the name “Charm”.
Personality: Chris is an energetic and cheerful person. They’re a bit happy-go-lucky too, preferring to work at their own pace and in their own way over caring what other people want of them. It was something they struggled with for awhile, having tried hard to keep up with their peers for a time, but more recently they decided that the stress wasn’t worth it. Sometimes they still struggle with that decision though.
They’re kind hearted, but mischievous, and tend to get into trouble often. Sometimes the trouble they get into is while trying to help others, even. They don’t have much fear, but then again, they’ve lived a relatively sheltered life. This, as well as their impulsiveness often contributes to them getting in trouble as well.
As they’ve started coming into their own, they’ve become more stubborn and rebellious. They no longer back down as easily, especially after realizing what they’ve been taught as the sole right way to do things isn’t actually the only way. As they’ve realized that, they’ve also started growing more curious about the world around them. If nothing is as they’ve been taught, then what’s really out there?
