_{June 6th - 8th - Swarm: Light That Lanturn
There's been a boom in the Lanturn and Chinchou population this week, and the ocean is absolutely full of glowing lights at night. It's honestly pretty pleasant viewing if you're anywhere near the coast! In fact, it's not limited to just the ocean - while they're normally just saltwater Pokemon, there's enough of them out there that they seem to be cropping up in any body of water big enough. (How in the world did that Chinchou end up in your bathtub?)

June 16th - July 6th - Event: Smeargle Premieregle
June 16th is the grand opening of the very first temporary art installation made entirely by Smeargles, as presented by the Smeargle Society (a previously obscure fan club that's doing the organizing and administration for the event!) Come over to Ecruteak City and experience something midway between an art gallery, an escape room, and getting lost in a RaIkea. And you'll definitely be hearing about this one... the Smeargle Society has very kindly put up Wiley Lycanroc style murals everywhere (the kind that pretend to be tunnels) as an advertisement. :)

June 25th - 27th - Swarm: Slaking Off
It's officially summer and certain Pokemon are absolutely wallowing in the heat. There's a bunch of Slakoth and even a few Slaking lying all over the roads, routes, and fields, enjoying the sun. But watch out! There's also quite a few Vigoroth out there, and they seem even more rowdy and less able to sit still than usual!}

With the swarming bugs finally settling down, it’s much easier to enjoy the late Spring warmth. The skies are clear, the humidity is down, and the temps are comfortable all week!

June 9th - 15th
This week brings the first real heat wave of the year. Good thing shorts are comfortable and easy to wear!

June 16th - 22nd
The first heatwave of the year heralds the first BIG thunderstorms! Expect high humidity this week, heavy rain, and Big Boom. A good time to be anywhere but outside.

June 23rd - 30st
Cleared skies and thinner air settle in after last week’s storms. Enjoy the lush greenery that follows lots of rain!}

_{April 15: End Swarm! While the mysterious wreck remains as mysterious as ever, it seems that by this date, the last of the traumatized new Pokemon has officially been rounded up! After this date, Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble will no longer be available in the wild-- so help those babies!

May 10: Freaky Friday: Metronome! Seems like fourth wall is in the air a little bit early this month! Today, doing completely normal everyday tasks results in wildly different, random outcomes (ie, try to make a sandwich and ten minutes later you find yourself with a beautiful painting and no sandwich in sight, you flush the toilet and somewhere down the street someone’s trashcan detonates explosively). Good luck!

May 24-26: Fourth Wall event! With the game's anniversary closing in, it's time, time again for that weekend where anything can happen!

June 2019

June 7th: Swarm! It seems like this month is about to get a little...buggy. And what better way to kick off a barrage of bugs than with some crawly caterpillars! Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, and Sewaddle are inching along every surface in Johto and Kanto, nibbling on leaves and your prized begonias...oh, oops - sorry about that! Hopefully they aren't going to try to chew holes through the leafy foliage of any Grass Pokemon around...

June 14th: Swarm! It hasn't rained in a while, and the water-loving insects have come out to try and find some puddles to cool off in! Surskit, Dewpider, and Wimpod are out in full force today, crowding around sprinklers and taking over the local kiddie pools...have a heart and spray these guys down, would you? Or at least invite them along for a dip in a nearby lake.

June 21st: Swarm! Perhaps the dry weather is starting to wear wearily on more than just the Water types - all the bugs with evolution quirks are stumbling out! Burmy, Combee, Karrablast, and Shelmet are all congregating in shady areas in droves, trying their best to beat the heat. They're a bit cranky, mind, so they might jump at the chance to battle if you cross them...

June 28th: Swarm! Sensing the shift in the air from summer heat to approaching summer rains (you can never predict 'em), it seems the more showy Bugs want to put on a performance before the storm hits! Volbeat and Illumise are fluttering about early on to cast their soft glow on their surroundings, and even in the morning you can hear the creaking of Kricketot and the call of Nincada as they sing in harmony to welcome the wet weather.

_{July 18th-21st: Legend Seeker Sleepaway Camp! The Legend Seekers are about to announce their latest and greatest: a special summer camping event in the Ruins of Alph - your local mysterious attraction and liminal space - for four days and three nights of intrigue, investigation, and (hopefully) Legendary Pokemon sightings! Keep your eyes open, though, for there may be more to the ruins than the Unown...}

Today, for some odd reason, you have an incredible compulsion to Hold Hands with whomever you can find. Friend? Foe? Family? Total stranger? Doesn't matter! They have a hand, and by gum you're going to hold it. And it'll make you feel happy...but...hm. This is going to be inconvenient if you're holding hands with someone else all day...}

_{August 23rd: Freaky Friday!
Battles are a staple of the Pokemon world, and so is earning cash from them - and moves like Pay Day have been well known for supplementing incomes. But something odd is happening if you happen to pull through a win. Once the final blow is landed, money starts to rain down around you and your Pokemon! Looks like Happy Hour is every hour today!}

The search for Suicune has been ongoing ever since the final sighting in the aftermath of the "Alph Incident".... where could it be? After nearly two months, are any answers coming?}

_{September 27th-29th: Eye on the skies! Shooting stars in September aren't TOO unusual, but there's something weird going on with the night sky!}

October 2019

_{October 3rd: SWARM A large number of Poipole have appeared in Goldenrod City, and many have been thoroughly distracted from their purpose by the flashing lights and exciting sounds of the Game Corner. See if you can herd them out of there without breaking all the slot machines! You may even find an escaped Game Corner prize Pokemon nearby!}

_{October 7th: SWARM Nihilego seem to be concentrated in the streets of Cerulean City, floating eerily through the air—especially near the entrance to Nugget bridge, keeping people from crossing until something is done. In the city, rarely seen Slowbro seem to have been unnerved enough to start fleeing, but are all way too slow to actually get out of the city and are now dotting the streets and blocking doorways.}

_{October 11th: SWARM A dazzling Pheromosa has briefly taken up residence in the only location it apparently dubbed clean enough to rest-- the Celadon City Department Store. Unfortunately, this means that a lot of the employees are trapped inside. Meanwhile, increased numbers of rare Stufful and Tsareena can be encountered among the wild Pokemon fleeing the area!}

_{October 16th: SWARM Oh no, not again! Swarms of Kartana are (in some cases quite literally) tearing through Mahogany Town! Maybe they're looking for the ninjas who supposedly hide there. As this is going on, surrounding areas can expect to see Pokemon like Pancham and Zorua fleeing the chaos.}

_{October 19th: SWARM A group of Buzzwole have found their way all the way to Cianwood, where they’ve begun initiating dramatic flex-offs with any Fighting type willing to challenge them. Which is most of them. And also Chuck. Nobody will be able to get a badge or really do much of anything in this town until the Buzzwole are satisfied. Throh and Sawk will be found much more easily in town, as they all come out to rise to the challenge!}

_{October 24th: SWARM Breaking news in Saffron-- the Silph Co. building has been completely overrun by Xurkitree! Uh oh... nobody told them about the floor the Type: Null programme is held on, did they?
Additionally, rare Pokemon like Bisharp and Mr. Mime can be spotted frequently helping to direct other wild Pokemon out of harm's way.}

_{October 26th: SWARM Look out Pewter City, there’s some new rocks in town. Stakataka are lumbering everywhere, seeming interested in all the stone architecture…and in some cases, interested enough to start knocking off chunks of the buildings! They also seem to be chasing after rare Graveler in a possible attempt to communicate…but the Graveller aren’t having it and are now rolling through the streets away from their lumbering pursuers.}

_{October 28th: SWARM Blackthorn City is getting flooded with Dragon-type Pokemon normally only found up north in the Dragon's Den... because Naganadel is scouring the tunnels in its search, filling the normally crisp, clear water with its luminescent poison!}

_{October 27th: SWARM Large numbers of Blacephalon have swarmed the lighthouse and climbed to the top…and as the sun goes down, the strong beam of light traveling through all those multicolored discoball heads is making the whole city look like a really wild party. And with just about every Pom-Pom Oricorio who normally lives at that lighthouse escaping down into the city to nervously dance even more than usual…yeah, the city is now the world’s most unnerving nightclub.}

_{October 29th: SWARM Power outages start to sweep across both regions-- something's happening at the Power Plant! That "something" is a Guzzlord who, apparently worn out, decided the generators would be a good thing to snack on... In addition to the other Pokemon making their escape, large numbers of rare Vikavolt can be encountered in the surrounding areas!}

With the Aurora League delving into the depths of Cerulean Cave and the bulk of Trainers, Breeders, and Rockets responding to the summons of what remains of the Legendary Birds and Beasts, the fate of the world hangs in the balance!}

_{February 8th-29th: Lunar Rat New Year
To make up for the wibbly-wobbly state of things during the actual Lunar New Year, Kanto has moved their celebrations to February! Big celebrations in Celedon City will be taking place. Get on out to Kanto and enjoy the rat party!}

_{February 14th: SWARM
An old Galar tradition states that giving an Applin to the apple of your eye would mean you would be together forever - and would you look at that, there's no shortage of Applin roaming around! Watch out for the fruit in the grocery store, you don't want to accidentally bite into this Pokemon!}

_{February 22nd: The Great Race
To emulate the race that determined the order of the animal years, Vermilion City is hosting its own version on Route 11! Be prepared to overcome obstacles on your way to victory!}

_{February 29th: Lantern Lighting
To cap off an excellent month of celebration, Celadon City will be hosting a massive lantern lighting fest! Lanterns that float up into the air will light up the night, vendors will be out with food and drink, and fun is to be had well into the night!}

March 2020

_{March 5th, 10th, 16th, 25th, and 29th: SWARM!
As warmer weather slowly begins to reach into Johto and Kanto, various bird Pokemon begin to fly in and make their presence known. But hm, these aren't the usual Bird Pokemon we all know and love...Rookidee, Cramorant, Eiscue (how is this one even migrating...?), and a rather surly kind of Farfetch'd are moving in, whether as a short stop on a long journey or to set up brand new homes.}

_{March 20th-21st: Curry Cookout
To properly welcome spring, cookouts are being held on Route 38 at Moo Moo Farm to show off the versatility and variety in various tasty types of curry, as well as to hopefully draw out hibernating Snorlax and Munchlax to give them a filling meal, instead of their appetites possibly devouring all the newly planted crops. Come and check out the new cooking craze sweeping the regions! And who knows? Maybe all those aromatic spices might draw in some new Pokemon...}

It looks like the time-honored internet tradition of Caturday is taking the real world by storm today! Massively increased chances of running into Skitty, Shinx, Glameow, Purrloin, Litleo, Espurr, and Litten are a sure thing! And of course we can't forget about Meowth in its Kantonian and Alolan forms, and...uh...this thing...?

May 15th-17th: Contest Spectacular
Back after a long hiatus, it's finally time to show what you and your Pokemon are made of on the Contest stage! This time, it looks like the organizers have taken their absence to add some new twists and flair to an old concept. Check the OOC comm for more details as we draw closer to the event!

May 29th: Freaky Friday
Seems like the first proper thunderstorm of the season has sent the Network into a tizzy with an Ion Deluge! Messaging and posting features are on the fritz, so do be cautious about your private conversations - you might just find them uploaded publicly instead!}

_{June 19th-25th: Thick As...?
Staring from the 19th, characters will notice that their items are...vanishing? It starts innocently enough - a few berries here and there, half a sandwich you were still planning to finish - but as days progress, the items that vanish get more and more expensive and of personal significance. By Wednesday the 24th, characters might feel the need to start bunkering down with their most important treasures just to make sure they don't go missing as well. Where's everyone's stuff going? Is someone - or something - taking it?

June 26th-28th: Fourth Wall
You might have lost your berries or a few potions, but hopefully you haven't lost your appetite for a weekend full of oddities and unexplained power returns! And who knows, you might even figure out where all those lost items have gone to...}

With the return of summer, Fuschia City's favourite beach guests have also made a reappearance: the Surfing Pikachu! To celebrate getting to hang out again with their old friends, the surfing community down in Fuschia will be organizing one hell of a beach bash on the 15th. Everybody is welcome to join them, but please remember to bring your own sun lotion!

July 24th: Swarm!
The muggy, thick heat of the last few days has finally morphed into an impressively stormy day. Rumbles of thunder and lightning dominate the skies, and while that is enough to make many Pokemon seek shelter from the weather, it looks like it has brought out a considerable amount of Dragon-Type Pokemon eager to test themselves against the storm. Dratini, Gible, Bagon, Axew, Jangmo-o...and a couple dragons you may not be familiar with, too, are out in full force!}

October 16th - 17th: Who ya gonna call?
With Halloween finery and flair making its way into everyday life, the resident Ghost Pokemon have decided to lend the humans a hand making things properly spooky. Which means mischief. Lots and lots of ghostly mischief. And what better prank than to possess a random human and make them do something embarrassing? Whether it's by confessing an embarrassing truth, going on the network and telling an utter lie, or even just hopping through the street singing a ridiculous song, expect your characters to fall victim to these ghostly pranksters. Hopefully you can salvage your reputation afterwards!

October 31st: Halloween Fright
This year, Ecruteak City is becoming Ecrufright City! Or, putting it more plainly, they are having one heck of a Halloween bash - rumour has it that even the Burned Tower and the Gym will be transformed with decorations! As the heroes who saved the city just a year ago, the otherworlders are not just invited, but practically the guests of honour! So don a costume and come join us! More details will be posted closer to the event.}

Delibird are flocking in droves to make sure everyone can participate in a gamewide Secret Santa! Submit your name today and receive someone new to surprise with a present on December 18th - gifts will be collected on the 24th and distributed on the 25th!

December 16th: SWARM!
Galarian Darumaka seem to have blown in with a snowstorm, and are taking full advantage of it! Their cold breath brings ice and snow everywhere - yes, even on the Sevii Islands - and they will not hesitate to use it in snowball fights with passersby, so stay on your toes!}

With the incoming blizzard, it feels like a metric ton of snow has collectively fallen over Johto and Kanto...along with a figurative ton of Snorunt! They are quick to make the routes, towns, and cities their land of fun, so don't be surprised if they've iced over an incline to slide down or send snowballs flying in your direction! The locals don't seem to mind - in fact, they're confident that a Snorunt can predict a person's future for the new year. Is that true...?

January 15th: Contest!
Riegfried and Soy have returned to throw another contest based upon the talents of Pokemon and Trainer! Details will be incoming, so stay tuned!}

_{February 7th: SWARM!
It's time for the event of the year, the confrontation everybody looks forward to all year and gathers together to watch. Yes, that's right! It's Superb Owl Sunday! And while many gather together to watch the thrilling showdown inside the stadium (with a spectacular half-time show, of course), it seems that this year, even the pokemon themselves are getting into it. Well, the owls, at least. Wherever you look, both day and night, you'll see both Hoothoots and Rowlets (and their evolved forms) trying to get in on the action and prove they are, in fact, the most superb owl this sunday.

February 14th: SWARM!
Ah, Valentine's day. A day that brings with it kisses and love confessions, candy hearts and, uh, who is that pokemon? And why do they seem to be carrying a lot of notes? Maybe it will become more clear closer to the date?

February 26th: Freaky Fighty Friday!
Maybe it is the stars. Maybe it is the moon. Maybe it is the cold unfeeling nature of our universe. Whatever it is, today seems to be one of those days where everybody gets up on the wrong side of the bed. Prepare to have your patience tested like a college student during finales week! It might be something big, it might be something small, but today it feels like arguments and fights are brewing everywhere.}

March 2021

_{March 14th: SWARM!
Fashionably late, and they didn't even bring Starmiebucks to make up for it, today characters will be finding lv 14 male Indeedee everywhere. Thankfully, these don't come bearing the thoughts and secrets of your friends - I'm sure we've all had enough emotional fall out for one season! If any character decides to catch one of these latecomers, they will find they all have one (1) egg-move in addition to their normal moves!

March 20th: Day of the Race
This year, MooMoo Farm has decided to kick it up a notch for the Year of the Ox and invite everybody to witness as the Miltank are released out into the pasture again after a long winter of staying indoors. In addition to seeing some really happy cows, they'll also be organising some small farm games and say, have you ever raced a cow? Would you like to race a cow?}
