July 8th - 18th - Swarm: Who Let The Dogs Out
No, seriously, who did? For a full week and a half, Johto and Kanto are inundated with dog Pokemon of all types, shapes, and sizes. There's two Houndour rummaging through your trash bin. Rockruff are barking and chasing each other all over the place, smacking into people's legs and generally being anuisance. A Herdier chased a flock of 50 Mareep into Goldenrod City and knocked out the power grid - hope you can survive without air conditioning! And if you thought one motivated Yamper trying to herd you and your Pokemon was bad enough... how do you feel about a pack of 20?
For three days, there's an unusual concentration of Pokemon stereotypically associated with Team Rocket: Koffings and Wheezings, Grimers and Muks, Ekans and Arboks, Zubats and Golbats, Rattatas and Ratticates... If you're especially unlucky, you might even run into something nastier: there's at least a few Victreebel who determinedly try to latch on to the head of any and all passerby, and some dangerous high-level Nidoqueens and Nidokings running about, acting territorial! Did a Rocket breeding facility have a jailbreak, maybe?

Hot and sunny, great beach weather!
The night... was moist. Seriously, the air is soup, and there is very little reprieve. Hot summer days and the occasional thunderclouds, but no break in sight. This all comes to an unfortunate head when a rogue Herdier wrangles a flock of Mareep into Goldenrod City and their collective static shorts the power grid for a day. Looks like we'll have to sweat this one out.
RAIN!! Temp and humidity finally caves a few degrees, and the breaks in cloud cover are a wonderful reprieve.
Scattered showers and patches of heavy thunderstorms pepper the last days of July.

OH ARCEUS IT’S A LION, GET ON THE WARP PAD! Enormous prides of wild Shinxes, Luxios, Luxrays, Litleos and Pyroars are marching southward across both regions, and they seem to be bolder than normal, as they’re heading straight into towns and cities. Most folks are used to having to shoo a wild Zigzagoon or two off their porch at night, but what happens when a fully-grown fire-breathing lion decides it wants to find out what’s in your foyer?
It’s Blizzard time! Winter gets the last laugh as the moderate snowstorm from the previous day becomes a full-on blizzard-- but what’s this? All the snowmen (and snowmon) built in yesterday’s fresh snow are looking pretty lively! All snow creations (whether made by player characters or NPCs) will become animated and interactive. They can’t produce sounds, but they will behave roughly like whatever they were supposed to be! Have fun! Don’t forget to wear layers!
Aura? More like… aurora! Or in this case, Aurora Veil! Characters may wake up surrounded by a colorful aura that reflects their emotional state, changing with their moods. Upon nightfall, the auras will dissipate… and a beautiful aurora borealis will be visible in the night sky throughout Johto and Kanto alike.
After such a miserable, chilly start to the month, it’s kind of a relief to have such a beautiful, Sunny Day! As a matter of fact, trainers might find themselves feeling a lot more cheerful than normal! Unless they’re cheerful all the time already, in which case the cheer might start to reach… frightening levels.
Something’s approaching on the horizon… Oh god, it’s not more lions, is it? Wait, no… it’s big herds of cute, fluffy Mareeps, Flaafies, Ampharos, Skiddos, and Gogoats, marching back up north after the snow’s all melted! Whew! … Actually, wait, Gogoats can headbutt pretty hard, can’t they…
