Badge Requests

What does it take? It changes for each gym! Normally, the games increase in difficulty as you progress, but that wouldn't be any fun if characters could just as easily take on the Gyms that are supposed to be for top trainers only. THEREFORE, the gym leaders aren't going to be pushovers like in the games! In order to win a badge, the mods will take into account your current roster and the attacks and advantages to see whether your pokémon is strong enough to win a badge or not.
Each gym leader has a Regular Team of pokemon and an Elite Team of pokemon you can challenge. It's up to a trainer to decide which team to challenge, but if you take on the Elite Team of six level 100 Pokemon, you'll receive double the prize money. The items, however, are not doubled. Excellent for trainers looking for the extra challenge or those looking to make money fast.
!!! Badges must be mod approved. To earn a badge, please comment on this post. Please don't ask for more than two badges to be approved at once!

They will be compensated for their work as Gym Leaders with a stipend that will cover building costs, labor (the Leader's and any Trainers they may employ), and rewards for victorious challengers. We ask that Aurora Gym Leaders think carefully about the location of their Gym and the difficulty level they wish to present challengers. We also ask that they create their own Badge Request page like this one so that others can request battles with them. To officially request an Aurora League Gym, fill out the provided template and comment here. |
Please use this form to request a badge or a showdown with the Elite Four! Post your request as a comment to this post. Badges will generally be processed once per week, on either Wednesday or during the weekend. Please try not to PM or IM mods about badges (including elite challenges) unless your request has gone unanswered for more than a week.
!!! Please request badges as your character is actually in the general area of the gym!
!!! To preserve the spirit of the game, obtaining badges using recently-inherited Pokémon (ie, Pokemon received from dropped characters) that massively outlevel your own is discouraged. If this happens, you may be asked by the badge mod to revise your team. Inherited Pokemon that your character has had for a while and are the same level as the rest of your character's team are fine to use!
!!! Remember that you must fight all four members of the Elite Four and Champion Lance in a row. You may heal your Pokémon between battles and take a short break, but you cannot leave without ending your challenge.

Badge/Gym Leader: Marsh/Sabrina
Elite/Regular: Elite
Team: Hicks | Midday Form Lycanroc-Jynx (Lv.100), Wiggles | Butterfree (Lv.100), Kuro | Umbreon (Lv.100), Flowers | Comfey (Lv.100), Spooky | Gengar (Lv.100), Vasquez | Absol (Lv.100)
Battle Details:
Okay, Newt's second Elite battle and her first that is not weak to fire. So she's going to be prepared again with spare hyper potions and revives. She's got this.
Going up against the Jinx is Hicks her Midday Form Lycanroc as the Jinx is weak to Rock types. Also thanks to his ability of Vital Spirit, the Jinx cannot use Lovely Kiss to put him to sleep. Hicks will use Accelerock to attack first and get a first hit in. During the battle Hicks will be alternating between his Rock and Dark attacks as the Jinx is weak to both. Rock Slide to try and make the Jinx flinch as well as cause damage, Rock Tomb to slow them down and cause damage. As well as Dark moves like Crunch and Bite which may lower defence stats and cause flinching as well. Mostly trying to get the fight over quickly, he will go more often for attacks that may make the Jinx flinch.
Next Newt will send in Wiggles her Butterfree against the Wobbuffet as it is weak to Bug Types. Her accuracy will be boosted thanks to her Compound Eyes ability. Wiggles will mostly be focusing on its damage dealing Bug attack, Bug Buzz. Wiggles also knows a Ghost move thanks to a tm and will be using Shadow Ball as the Woobuffet is weak to Ghost types as well. She will mostly be using these two attacks with a few support moves like Supersonic to try and confuse the Woobuffet thrown in. Again, trying to end the fight quickly.
Against the Espeon Newt will be sending out Kuro, her Umbreon she inherited from Thida last year. He is excited. He is also a Dark type which the Espeon is weak against and as a Umbreon is immune to Psychic attacks. So Kuro will be going for Dark attacks such as Dark Pulse, Snarl and Bite. However they will also be throwing in Confuse Ray followed up by Assurance, hoping that the move will gain double damage if while Confused the Espeon damages itself. Just a few times but mostly focusing on the moves that cause damage directly.
Next against the Gallade, Newt will send out Flowers the Comfy as the Gallade is weak to Fairy attacks and at least damaged normally by Grass attacks. With this battle her main objective will be keeping the HP for the battle. To start with she will use Leech Seed to drain HP from the Gallade and in her next move she will use Grassy Terrain to turn the ground to grass, boost her Grass attacks and restore HP. For attacks she will be using Play Rough as well as Grass type damaging attacks like Petal Blizzard, Magical Leaf and Vine Wip. She will be especially using the Grass moves while the Grassy Terrain is in effect. All the while she will be keeping an eye on the HP and using Floral Healing or Draining Kiss to keep it high. Hopefully that will be enough to take out the Gallade.
Against the Gardevoir, Newt will send out Spooky her Gengar as the Gardevoir is weak to Ghost types. However Spooky is also weak to Psychic attacks so the aim of the game is to knock this battle out as quickly as possible. To help with that, Spooky has a Grass Attack that regains HP, called Giga Drain that will be used in between other attacks. These other attacks will be focusing on Ghost moves like Shadow Punch, which as it never misses will be used a lot. Lick will be used to try and paralyze the opponent. And if things seem to start getting bad, there's always Perish Song but hopefully it won't come to that.
Lastly, against the Alakazam, Newt will send out Vasquez her Absol. This is because the Alakazam is weak to Dark moves. So that being said Vasquez will be mostly focusing on her Dark damage dealing attacks such as Bite, Sucker Punch and Night Slash. However she will be using Quick Attack to get the first move in. As well as the Normal attack Razor Wind. And as above, if things look like they need to move along there's Perish Song. But they will be focusing on on dealing damage with Dark type attacks to end the fight quickly.
