Flying?

  • One ground day is equivalent to about 2 or 3 hours in flight.
  • The pokemon's speed depends not only on its size and experience, but also on the weather.
  • Remember that most pokemon cannot fly more than 6 hours without at least a 1-hour break.
  • Riding?

  • Riding a pokemon can cut up to 1/3rd of your travel time!
  • Speed depends not only on the pokemon's size, but also on whether or not it is comfortable with the terrain.
  • Like with flying, the pokemon may require breaks.
  • On a Bike?

  • Have a bike? You can cut up to 1/6th of your travel time!
  • Careful, the bike isn't all-weather or all-terrain. Biking up mountains is ill-advised, and the wheels won't turn on sand or ice.
  • This also applies to skateboards and rollerblades!
  • Ride Pagers

  • Your HM Pokemon are on vacation too, after all, so why not let some island Pokemon take over? Upon arriving on One Island, everyone will have the option to rent a special Sevii Islands Ride Pager for 1000P. This fee will cover the entire time a trainer is in the islands, and should be returned when they depart.
  • Ride Pokemon are keyed to the pagers with the same technology that sends a seventh caught Pokemon away to a PC Box, so they will appear right away once summoned.
  • Be sure to treat these Pokemon right, or you'll be banned from using the pagers for life!
  • Ride Pokemon are as follows:
  • Tauros: Incredibly fast chargers who stand in for Rock Smash.
  • Stoutland: Run a bit faster than a bike, and are trained to sniff out items like an Itemfinder.
  • Mudsdale: These horses can carry trainers over rougher terrain and up steeper mountain paths.
  • Machamp: These muscles can push aside any boulder easily with Strength.
  • Lapras: Excellent swimmers big enough to sit on for longer Surf treks through the water routes.
  • Sharpedo: For if you want to Surf really fast.
  • Charizard: Zoom through the sky with Fly, even between islands!

  • Quick-Jump!

    All right, let's get started!

This color indicates an optional route, not necessary to reach a town or city.

    Friends Gather at Knot Island

Welcome to the Sevii Islands! The town here isn't that big, but there's a great little resort hotel ready to welcome newcomers and provide a "home base" for visitors looking to explore the islands. Why not go parasailing to get a glimpse of Mt Ember, catch an exciting Tauros Tour out on Kindle Road with a stop at the hot springs, or just hang out by the pool with your friends?
Ferries Available: Vermilion, Olivine, Two Island, Three Island, and Four Island

    TREASURE BEACH
A sunny cove where trainers search for washed-up treasures with friends.

    Travel time: 2 hours
    Layout | Pokemon availability
    KINDLE ROAD
A rugged path in the shadow of a volcano.
It's quite a hike to Mt Ember, but trainers will find a respite halfway there in the form of a natural spa: a cluster of hot springs inside the rock caves. The hot springs are free to enter, and there are stalls set up by enterprising locals selling food, drink, and treatments for trainers and Pokemon alike. It's said that Bruno of the E4 frequents these springs!
    Travel time: 4 days
    Layout | Pokemon availability
    MT EMBER

Supposedly an inactive volcano. However, there are persistent reports that the peak blazes with fire at night.
At the end of Kindle Road is the most popular hiking spot on the islands (especially for those not ready to take on Sevault Canyon), with trails suited for any skill level from beginner to expert. There's an abundance of interesting volcanic rock formations whether you're sticking near the base or going into the caves to get all the way to the summit (a guide is recommended for first time visitors--it gets steep and easy to get turned in around the higher you get!) and plenty of Pokemon hiding in them to catch. There are even rumors that Moltres has come to roost here, but aside from a few blurry photos, no actual proof.

There's a park ranger station at the bottom, but no buildings or amenities any higher than that to preserve the natural state of the mountain.
Travel time: 3 days straight to the top, 5 days to explore

    Boon Island for Two

This island is somewhat unique, in that the only permanent resident is a little old lady who lives up on the Cape. Most of the other people on the island commute in. There's bustling open air market six days a week where anyone can rent a stall for the day if they have something to sell, but locals might take less kindly to outsiders trying to sell longterm.

For those seeking something more exciting than shopping, on Tuesdays and Fridays the island hosts Pokemon Games! For a fee of 500P, trainers can sign their own Pokemon up for competitions like races and berry catching, or sit in the stands and watch the fun.
NPCs: Carly Nagisa and Jolyne Cujoh run their shared Aurora League gym here, as well as Carly's associated photography studio! (Also here: Jolyne's very classy photography of dragon butts.)
Ferries Available: One Island and Three Island

    POKEMON PARK
A place for Pokémon to get together and have fun.
Island two also features a rather unique theme park! Unfortunately, you will never see the inside of it, as this is a theme park exclusively for pokemon. The Sevii Islands are a place of relaxation, after all, and that should include your pokemon! In this special, pokemon-focused playground, your pokemon can run free and play to their heart's content. The park features play equipment for pokemon of all sizes and a wide variety of fruit and berry bushes will supply your pokemon with plenty to eat. So why not give your partner the day off too and let them mingle and play with all the other pokemon?

Travel time: A day if your pokemon wants to explore all areas of the park

    CAPE BRINK
A beautiful cape overlooking both the sea and a flowing waterfall.
Here's where the 'for two' part of Boon Island comes in! The stunning views here make it a very popular spot for couples looking for a getaway. The old woman who lives in the lone house by the waterfall will teach anyone with a fully evolved 'starter' Pokemon their special signature move, so long as they'll help her with a few chores around the house and garden.
Travel time: ½ day to get to the end of the Cape

    Kin Island of Family Bonding

Three island's town has the (relatively) largest local population, but it's still a pretty sleepy, easygoing place. Most people who live here are families with children, so there's not exactly a thriving nightlife scene. More like a playground and library scene, with most businesses closing early.

Not that there's nothing at all to do! This island is all about nature, and guided hikes into the surrounding woods are always available, as well as snorkeling and even scuba tours. A brand new treehouse pod hotel has just opened up, if you want to spend a night or two in an orb in the woods. There's even a small aquarium with an attached pond where one of the owners has recently started breeding decoratively patterned Magikarp, and anyone who volunteers to work for the day can take one home!

    BERRY FOREST

A forest on a small islet off the coast of Three Island. Berries grow wildly in profusion, quickly replenishing those that fall off.
The second, smaller island connected to the main Three Island is covered in forest. Compared to Ilex in Johto or Viridian in Kanto, it's not nearly so dense and dark, and the sun shines brightly through the foliage. Maybe because of this, a wide variety of Berries grow much larger and more quickly than they do anywhere else. Many people come here to pick baskets of them with their Pokemon. There are a lot of delicious edible-by-humans berries growing here too--be careful not to get them mixed up!

Trainers are encouraged to keep an eye on where they are--it may not be as easy to get lost as in other forests, but that's definitely still a danger. As are the some of the wild Pokemon in the area, which have been known to lead people astray.
Travel time: 4-8 days to explore thoroughly, depending on if you get lost.

    The Warm, Blue, Floe Island

This is the tiniest of the inhabited islands, and much of the land is taken up by rocky cliffs. However, it is one of the premiere spots for anyone wishing to study marine Pokemon, as it is surrounded by a large reef. A Pokemon Daycare in town is ready to look after both trained Pokemon looking for a little pampering and injured wild Pokemon from the reef or caves in need of rehabilitation.

A small research center set up near the water will lend out Wailmer from the Hoenn region who have been taught Dive, as well as diving gear for trainers, so that they can go down and view the reef and maybe even find a new partner or two.

The town's other claim to fame is that former E4 member Lorelei grew up here! She is frequently in town now that she's retired, glad to give a few tips on Ice types to aspiring trainers--just don't hound her for autographs!
NPCs: Just off the coast, Armin Arlert runs the Pelagic Gym and helps run the Lapras Breeding Project! Nearby is Shiro's home, where travelers are welcome to borrow a spare room.
Ferries Available: One Island, Five Island, Six Island, and Seven Island

    ICEFALL CAVE

A cave which is covered by water and ice on Four Island. It seems like the end of the cave is connected to the ocean.
In sharp contrast to the warmth of the outside of the island, the cliffs contain a frozen cavern that runs all the way through the rest of the island. It's said that Lorelei even caught her first Pokemon, a Lapras, in here, at the very end of the cave system. Think you can make it that far in to see if you can find one yourself? The farther in you get, the icier the floor is--careful not to break anything!

This cave is popular during the winter months, since the islands are warm all year round. Carving out blocks of ice for sculptures, sledding across the slick floors, and polar bear dives into the water are common. Tourists are encouraged to join in the fun, although there are rules in place to protect the wild Pokemon who live in the caves!

    Chrono Island: Where Time Goes

Wow, that town name sure sounds exciting, doesn't it? Well...the town itself kind of isn't; the main draw of this island is the surrounding routes. Because of this, and on account of Resort Gorgeous, there's been a lot of tourist foot traffic in the past couple of years. Which...the locals aren't entirely thrilled with, what with the resulting noise and litter, but they're not going to be unfriendly.

One thing this island is known for is its ridiculously elaborate kite scene. The meadow outside of town is open and windy enough that it's perfect for kites, and there are a few little shops selling big, beautiful handmade ones. On nice days, the whole sky can be full of colorful fabric, and there are even competitions for trick kites.

    Abandoned Base

An abandoned building that used to be a hideout for Team Rocket.
Hidden in the copse of trees in the center of Five Isle Meadow is a run-down building that's been the local eyesore for several years. It was briefly occupied by Team Rocket, and despite how much the locals have hated having it here on their beautiful island, the fear of attracting the Team's attention again kept them from doing anything about it. And before anyone could make up their mind to tear it down, it became a home for several species of Pokemon, which nobody wanted to unceremoniously evict even if they weren't the cutest. And so it seemed like they were going to be stuck with this ugly thing forever.

Eventually, schoolchildren from all over the islands concocted a plan. Raising money with bake sales and donations, they've been working on beautifying at least the outside of the place with painted murals and the beginnings of a community vegetable and flower garden. The inside is still run down and kind of falling apart (and a secret favorite hangout for rebellious teens who want to play on the few still-functional conveyor belts), just the way the Pokemon like it, so enter at your own risk!

More recently, rumours have sprung up about an odd woman who has taken residence deep inside the abandoned warehouse. Supposedly, if you bring her two Galar fossil halves, she is capable of bringing them to life. Though the results might be a bit... shocking.

    MEMORIAL PILLAR
A watery route that leads to a monument to a lost Pokemon.
At the bottom of this route is a massive pillar shaped in the likeness of an Onix. The man who made it in memoriam to his deceased partner is out there most days, and visitors should probably try to keep noise to a minimum out of respect.

    RESORT GORGEOUS

    A beautiful, secluded seaside resort.
If the big resort on One Island isn't fancy or private enough for you, look no further than Resort Gorgeous. Originally the private villa of a wealthy trainer named Selphy, she has since developed it into an all-inclusive (and very EXclusive) luxury resort. There are eight beautiful overwater bungalows, four smaller ones for couples and four that will hold up to six people. There's gourmet food prepared by a Kalosian chef, butler service, a well appointed spa...Selphy spared no expense.

And neither will anybody who wants to stay here, honestly. Luxury like this don't come cheap.

Selphy herself still lives here year-round, in a separate building from the main resort center. Any trainers looking to just stop briefly on the island for a rest can show her a rare Pokemon, and if it's one she particularly admires? She might just give away a Luxury Ball or a Rare Candy as a reward.

    LOST CAVE

A bewildering cave off the coast of Resort Gorgeous. Some curious thrill seekers have never emerged from it.
You'd better be either an experienced spelunker or really good at counting boulders, because these caverns are so easy to get lost in. Most of the caves look almost identical, and getting turned around is very easy. What do you even want to go in here for?

    Fortune Island of Aged Wisdom

This island is a popular place to retire, with most of the residents being older. If you want to hear stories about the old days, this is definitely the place to come--so long as you don’t mind some creative embellishments. And for a more accurate look at the islands’ history, there’s even a nice history museum that also holds a number of the artifacts uncovered in Ruin Valley. Or there’s always bingo night on Thursdays!

Anyone talking about going out into the surrounding routes might get a local dropping into their conversation to tell them all about Altering Cave, the exciting tradition of journeying through the two paths, and all the unusual, rare Pokemon they’ll encounter if they manage to get all the way out there. They always seem a little…conspiratorial about it though…

    RUIN VALLEY
A valley enclosed by mountains and filled with ancient artifacts.
This valley is chock-full of ancient ruins, and there's an ongoing archeological dig to try to uncover some of its mysteries. Traveling trainers with an interest in this can volunteer to sort pottery shards and catalogue all manner of finds--if someone turns out to have experience in the field, they might even get to do more than that! Funnily enough, the valley is also rich in Pokemon Fossils. Any volunteer who stays a week or longer will be given one of their choice as compensation.

After discovering a new fossil bed, volunteers now also have the option of taking home a Galar region fossil. Characters will be reminded by local paleontologists that these particular fossils halves cannot be revived into living pokemon, but if they still want them, they can have them. One week of work will earn characers two of these fossil halves.

    PATTERN BUSH

A lush and bush-like area. In it are patterns where no grass grows. Some study it in the belief that a secret is concealed.
Where did the patterns in the Pattern Bush come from? Nobody really knows, with rumors ranging from Arceus to aliens to bored teenagers (although given the lack of teenagers on this island, that doesn't seem likely). But the strange, winding paths in the dense undergrowth look like they're supposed to be there, as unnatural as they are.

It's an almost eerie place, one of the few outdoor areas on the islands where not much sun gets through the dense foliage. Most people don't like to spend more than a week in here before taking a break outside it, not even those avidly studying the patterns. Some of those researchers/conspiracy theorists can be found set up in houses on the Green Path outside the Bush, so for those with questions, they're the ones to ask. And they'll happily tell any curious ear all about their wild theories for as long as someone lets them

    Or even longer.

    ALTERING CAVE

This island has been known by this name since the distant past. No one today knows where it got this name, however.
After all that Surfing, all that travel, here it is at last. The fabled Altering Cave, supposedly filled with a different species of rare Pokemon every day.

But wait. It's a small sea cave filled with Zubat. Only Zubat. There was never anything else but Zubat in here and there's not even anything else interesting about it besides maybe the section of the cave filled with wet sand for anybody who enjoys exfoliating.

Hey, it's about the journey and not the destination, right...? At least, that's what the old folks back in town will winkingly tell anybody demanding an explanation upon their return. Aged Wisdom indeed...
Travel time: 3 hours to explore thoroughly

    Quest Island of Infinity

The town here is barely one--it's honestly more of an outpost. This island has been left mainly to the wilderness, and even stronger wild Pokemon will sometimes venture within the "town limits" from the canyon. Because of this, anybody out after dark is encouraged to travel with at least one other person, and to keep their own Pokemon out of their balls.

Why be out after dark in the first place, you ask? Because the stargazing here is the best out of any region. Situated on a rocky outcropping an hours' walk from the main part of town is an observatory boasting a truly impressive telescope, for anyone who wants to get a better look. Aside from that, most of the stores stock climbing, hiking, camping, and general survival gear. Most of the people who actually live here also offer their services as guides, for the less experienced or more cautious who still want to experience the wilderness. For the adventurous soul? This island is the place to be.

    TRAINER TOWER

A place to test your mettle as a trainer.
The Trainer Tower is a huge draw to this island for trainers from all over the world who want a challenge. Because oh boy is it a challenge. The rules are simple enough: battle five trainers on each floor within half an hour. Succeed, and move up to the next floor to do it all over again. All kinds of Potions, Ethers, Berries, and Revives are permitted, but they're all you're going to get and you only get as many as you bring in yourself. Think you can just steamroll through with high level Pokemon? Think again, there's enough trainers here that there are plenty in every level bracket--you'll be fighting at whatever your team's level is. There are eight floors in total, so good luck! You'll need it.

And what do winning trainers earn for putting themselves through such a grueling challenge? The best prize is obviously at the final level, but winning at each floor will net something:

  • Floor One: Nugget
  • Floor Two: Pearl
  • Floor Three: Big Pearl
  • Floor Four: Up-Grade
  • Floor Five: Dragon Scale
  • Floor Six: Metal Coat
  • Floor Seven: King's Rock
  • Floor Eight: Minor celebrity status in the islands, their photo on the Winner's Wall downstairs, and a free night at Resort Gorgeous

Special Note: This will not be moderated, so we just ask that you be realistic about winning! It is a VERY difficult thing to win the whole tower.

    Prehistoric Cavern

A place time has stood still.
A cavern deep in the earth, discovered after a swarm of Orthworm tunnelled across much of the region. Inside, prehistoric pokemon live as if time had stood still. While once protected by an ancient relative of Suicune, this cavern has now come into the hands of far more human protectors: the Legendary Seekers. Knowing that Walking Wake had left the protection of these pokemon in the hands of humanity, the Legendary Seekers are encouraging anyone with a big heart to come and perhaps find a friend in these ancient caves.

The cavern consists of two immense chambers. The pokemon in the first cavern are of lower level than the deeper second cavern, and anyone is free to enter this part of the cavern. However the second, deeper chamber is filled with very strong and potentially dangerous, and as such, the Legendary Seekers were encouraged to put some requirements on who could visit. To access the second chamber, you need either

  • Five Badges
  • Three level 100 pokemon
  • To be accompanied by someone meeting these requirements.

Please note that many of the pokemon in the second chamber seem unable to breed for an as of yet unexplained reason. Scientists have tentatively started calling these pokemon Paradox Pokemon.

An ancient ruin that is rumored to be home to a peculiar Pokémon. However, so far, the Pokémon remains an unconfirmed rumor.
There are seven islands and seven ruins, each leading down into a chamber room. Each of these rooms is roughly the same size, but each one has walls set up in the center in different patterns and covered in what are now known to be Unknown hieroglyphs that spell out words in a strange language. The origins of these ruins have been lost to time, but carved into the stone at the entrance of each are their names: Monean, Liptoo, Weepth, Dilford, Scufib, Rixy, and Viapois.
