Personality: Honestly, it's just easier to do sections based on strengths and weaknesses in her personality. Thus that's how I will do things since it includes canon-related information to back it up.
Self-assertion, undying loyalty, and determination.
With her self-assertion, it tends to show up rather quickly from the very beginning of things in the canon. Mostly that Jolyne is not going to allow herself to be pushed around and used by others in the prison, whether or not that ends up in her getting hurt for standing up for herself. She is her own person and she's going to make damn sure that everyone knows it and that she won't allow herself to be used like someone's pawn or paypig. This continues further with her in battles as well as she uses it to prove herself time and time again to make sure that whoever she's fighting knows damn well who she is and that she is not going to back down.
Undying loyalty is the odd one out with the way she shows herself otherwise. She doesn't tend to make a lot of friends or allies, but those that she does she will fiercely protect with her life and even her life after dying. Whether it's the friend's fault for whatever situation they're in or not doesn't matter to her, as far as she's concerned, they're always right and no one is going to push them around or harm them while she's around. The same also applies to her father once the whole peace bit has come around with him.
As for determination, this is probably the one we see the most of since it doesn't just include fights but also ties into her assertion as well as the way she acts around everyone else in the series. Jolyne does not back down and she does not give up, not until the very last of her resources has been expended. She will not lose, she will not fall, she will overcome whatever it is that's in front of her or it'll kill her. There's no turn away and run for her.
Violent tendencies, vindictive, confrontational.
It's kind of a given for a character in JoJo's to be violent, but Jolyne kinda of takes it to extremes. She will get into a fight with anyone if they give her any reason what-so-ever to do so. She also doesn't hold back in the way she fights and will absolutely kill someone if given the chance to do so in a fight. She's also ripped off fingernails, ripped out tongues, and slit someone's throat just because they had wronged her and she thought it was the best way to go about things. She absolutely doesn't shy away from these things and it... kind of sometimes makes her look a little psychotic and far out there in the "was it really necessary?" scale of things.
She's also extremely vindictive, she will absolutely get revenge on someone for any wrong committed against her. She cut out her former boyfriend's tongue for lying to her and flat out ignores her cellmate for the wrongs she did to her even after an apology and the like. She does not appreciate being betrayed and will very much let someone know about it if not by words then by actions. And it's not really hard to slight her, either.
Confrontational is a hilarious understatement as she is the first person to start an argument most of the time, especially to anyone that is in any sort of authoritative position or older than her. She has some... issues with that, due to her history, and it doesn't honestly fade much in the series at all. She doesn't appreciate being talked down to or treated like a lesser person. And that comes across with violence, most of the time.

The odd feeling of death, your entire body shutting down and just... nothingness greeting you. And then, suddenly, there's the sound of someone trying to wake you up. The voice almost familiar, but not quite, reminding her far too much of her days in school. 'Get up, it's time to get going!' Get going to what? She's an adult, school isn't something she does anymore.
Until she's finally coming to properly and managing to get a look around the room. This is... absolutely not her room, nor is that her mother. But the woman seems to act as if she's familiar with her and that's... well, okay.
One hand rubs at her face as she groans and moves out of the bedroom, barely listening to what's being said. She's not even noticing the strange creature gently chewing on the edge of her pants. Not... yet.
But one thing is certain, she hadn't expected to wake up in a place that is absolutely not some kind of purgatory. Had Pucci successfully managed to reset the universe and... this was what he'd come up with?
Perhaps it was time to hunt him down and give him a piece of her mind, even if she's noticing a distinct lack of a particular entity that was almost always beside her. "You have to be kidding me." She's groaning to no one but herself once she's outside, though a momentary glance down is alerting her to the creature gnawing on her pants.
