Paldea Badges
While visiting the beautiful region of Paldea, your characters will be able to challenge the local gyms and earn badges. A few things should be noted however! Any badges you earn in the Paldea region will not count towards allowing you to challenge the Elite Four in Kanto. Additionally, even if you obtain all eight Paldean badges, it will not be possible to challenge the Paldean Elite Four.
Beyond that, however, the badges in Paldea work much the same as back home! Each gym leader has a Regular Team of pokemon and an Elite Team of pokemon you can challenge. It's up to a trainer to decide which team to challenge, but if you take on the Elite Team of six level 100 Pokemon, you'll receive double the prize money. The items, however, are not doubled. Excellent for trainers looking for the extra challenge or those looking to make money fast.
!!! Badges must be mod approved. To earn a badge, please comment on this post. Please don't ask for more than two badges to be approved at once!

Battle Details:
This is it. This is what Keldor came to Paldea for. To take on eight gyms and collect eight badges, and be able to call himself one of the few offworlders who can make such a boast as this. Seven gyms down, and now it's come to this, this face-off between Keldor and Grusha for all of Paldea's marbles. He's ready. His team is ready. And so is Grusha, so let's get this party started.
Alolan Ninetales
As the one pokemon on the team who can at least stand up to Ice attacks despite her Rock typing making her vulnerable is Asama, and to keep things cooking she's going to need all the Agilities and Howls she can muster to boost her Speed and Attack respectively. All chill pills will be outrun as much as possible, while blasting the Ninetales with Flare Blitzes, Rock Slides and Flamethrowers. She might take a nasty hit, but Keldor's got plenty of berries, just in case.
Beartic
Ninetales dealt with, we send out Naganegi to take on Grusha's Beartic. Unlike her Kanto relatives, Naganegi is all Fighting—just the sort of thing a pure Ice type is weak to. There's no Flying type here, and that means this duck can take the cold and still keep going. We're staying north this season, and that bear better be ready for the punch the Sirfetch'd packs. As usual, Naganegi makes people wonder if she's really as Timid as her nature should make her as she throws a Sand Attack the big white bear's way. The better to grip slick surfaces? Maybe. While it's trying to get the grit out of its eyes, Naganegi sets up a Swords Dance to boost her Attack before laying down the smack with a nasty Rock Smash that should have Beartic reeling. And should that not be enough, another Swords Dance-boosted Meteor Assault will fix that.
Frosmoth
As Bugs go, Frosmoth is quite pretty. But Grusha didn't send this one out for everyone to ooh and aah at. If he's using one of these for an Elite battle, Keldor should expect that this moth won't be a pushover. So sending Asama back into the fray means Keldor's taking it seriously. No time wasted—we Howl and we Agility to maximise our Attack and our Speed. Quadruple weakness aside, Frosmoth can still freeze the Arcanine in her tracks if we're not careful. And as we Extreme Speed out of harm's way, we Flare Blitz and Rock Slide until Frosmoth goes down.
Cetitan
No sense in risking Asama more than she's already been risked, we withdraw her to send Naganegi back out. She's pumped and ready to go, even if this whale might otherwise be too big a bite to chew. More sand on the road in the form of a Sand Attack, we Swords Dance and Iron Defence ourselves in preparation for what Cetitan has to throw her way, and it's certainly throwing. Naganegi's got her work cut out for her, as she charges in with Brave Bird, and, once up in the cetacean's face, will whack away with Rock Smashes and Brick Breaks. And when Cetitan's woozy, she'll end the contest with a spectacular Meteor Assault.
Good duck. Very good duck.
Weavile
Four times weak to Fighting. That's why the duck is staying in. No cons; only pros. And kicking sand into Weavile's face with a Sand Attack is how we get this matchup started while Naganegi gets her Attack back up with Swords Dance. When it's boosted up again, she'll Slam right into Weavile and—you guessed it—Brick Break and Rock Smash until Weavile KOs.
Altaria
At last. Altaria. The last pokemon Keldor needs to defeat. A pity we don't have any Ice to use against it, but we do have Rock, and that'll do as Asama is sent back in. Howl for Attack? Agility for Speed? Yes and yes. That should give her Rock Slides and Rock Throws an extra punch. Should that be insufficient, we'll use an Extreme Speed to change that.
