    Character
    Name: Manaka Sajyou
    Series: Fate/Prototype
Timeline: After her death, while she is still dormant ("dreaming") inside the Grail
    Canon Resource Links: Link

    Personality:
Much of the time, Manaka behaves like a typical, if somewhat precocious, young girl. However, in reality, the idea that she is simply a normal child couldn't be further from the truth. More than anything, Manaka is an extremely warped person. Throughout her entire life, she has been connected to "the Root," something that is most simply described as being the center of all creation; later, at the time of her "death," she was submerged in something containing all of humanity's evil desires. Obviously, neither of these things is going to produce a person with a normal outlook on life!

First and foremost, she is self-centered to the extreme. While she can see and understands other people's wants, she doesn't factor them into her behavior when taking action, and she's perfectly willing to toss aside anyone who comes between her and her goals, no matter what they may mean to her. It isn't that she feels nothing for others; it's just that her desires far outweigh the worth of most people in her mind. For example, in canon, she has expressed a willingness to harm or kill both her sister (whom she has explicitly said she loves) and the closest thing she has to a friend—and acted on it, in both cases.

However, despite this, she's stated to be an "innocent monster" that holds no malice toward others, and it's true that her actions weren't born from hate or vengeance or any negative feeling at all. Having been constantly aware of the cycle of death and rebirth since infancy, Manaka simply doesn't see the value of a life in the way that most people do, and doesn't understand basic morals others take for granted, such as the idea that killing is wrong. Her callousness comes from a skewed perspective, rather than cruelty.

The only exception to the above is her Saber. She's described as having been "irreparably warped" by her love for him, and it's a hard statement to argue with, seeing as that love has led to her massacring dozens of people without batting an eye. In her mind, he is the most important thing in the universe. She would happily sacrifice every other life on the planet for his sake—and fully intends to do so, given that the action she sees as the fulfillment of his wishes is also one that will consume and extinguish all human life. Retaliating against someone she perceives as having "endangered" Saber is the only time she is seen acting out in anger, too.

She also appears to hold some general level of ennui directed at life, thanks to her connection to the Root. It doesn't come across in her demeanor—she's peppy and upbeat—but even so, it appears as a reoccurring theme in her thoughts and actions. When her father mentions wanting to use the Holy Grail as a means to connect to the Root, she brushes his desire aside as "boring." In the Fate/Labyrinth sidestory, because she is unable to experience surprise any other way, she purposefully induces in herself a special sort of dream. Unsurprisingly, being able to look inside something that houses everything that ever has existed and everything that ever will has made her bored.

In the aftermath of her death, Manaka's innocence has become somewhat warped, a twisted version of what it was originally. While she is still devoid of malice, and still doesn't grasp the idea of moral absolutes, she has gained an intimate understanding of the ugliest of human desires. So, while she doesn't precisely empathize with them, she can speak on them in depth, if prompted. She also has a tendency to view no human as morally better than another, and is unlikely to pass judgment on a person's moral failures, given that she views such dark desires as simply an unpleasant but undeniable part of the human heart.

Her concept of and expressions of love have also been distorted. Following her death at Saber's hands, she seems to have twisted the concepts of violence, death, and love into a single inseparable knot. When speaking of her happiness at the thought of seeing Saber again, she uses gory metaphors, describing the feeling as being one like "[her] insides will fall out of her stomach"; conversely, when speaking of being impaled, she does so in a way that is evocative of sexual intercourse.

As a note, though Manaka's outward manner is often childish, her mental age is a bit more complicated. This can be seen in one of the one-shot comics published in the second official Fate/Prototype artbook, in which she initially behaves very much like a young girl when around others, only to switch to a more adult manner of speaking when alone. How she chooses to present herself when is dependent on whim and the surrounding circumstances; while she generally acts the age she appears to be, she may be more open about her true colors around people she feels some level of connection with.

    Affiliation: Team Rocket
Starter: Woobat (lvl 5) & Litwick (lvl 15); Litwick is similar to Manaka in that it appears to be cute and harmless on the outside, but is actually much darker in nature. Additionally, its type reflects Manaka's own death and resurrection, as well as the fact that this wouldn't be the first time Manaka has undertaken a partnership with a monster that feeds on the life force of others.

    Victory Road Sample:
Manaka dreamed often, but it didn't take her long to realize that this was something else entirely. It was like coming out from under anesthesia, only to find that someone had removed one of her arms while she slept: disorienting, and a little alarming as she tried to flail around with something that wasn't there. She couldn't feel the Root, or the Beast. Her magic circuits were gone, and even the place where Saber's blade had pierced her—

But as that single, wild moment of shock faded, the feeling was replaced by something else entirely: Awe.

She had jolted upward, launching herself out of the Rocket dormitory bed she'd found herself in—but then, in the next moment, she froze. Her gaze dropped downward, and she flexed her fingers, turning her palms back and forth like she'd never seen her own hands before in her life. Maybe she hadn't—at least, she'd never seen them like this, through a normal person's eyes.

Still half-dazed, she lifted her head to scan the room she had found herself in. It wasn't a very exciting room, impersonal and sterile, but that didn't stop the niggling feeling that there was more to it than that. How could there not be? For Manaka to find herself here, it must have been something special.

Finally, her eyes fell on what seemed to be the only objects of note in the room: A pair of strange orbs made of a material she couldn't identify at a glance, half white and half a bright red. Padding toward the nightstand they were situated on, she picked up the one closest to her, her thumb giving the button in its center a swift click. And...

And whatever she had been expecting, it wasn't the stream of light that leaped free as the lid swung open. Nor was it the way that light solidified into what seemed to be a living candle, its nubby little arms lifting proudly as it declared, "Lit! Lit!"

Manaka gasped, her entire expression lighting up at the sight—a reaction that seemed to please the creature, what with the little twirl it performed in reply. "Wow...! You're so cute!" she squealed, half-skipping to clear the distance between herself and her new friend. "Were you left here to wait for me?"

"Wick," it chirped, and if there was any doubt that had been an affirmative, it followed up the statement with a nod.

That earned another coo from Manaka. "Mm! I hope you weren't alone for too long." Then, cupping her hands, she lifted them in front of herself, offering the candle a place to sit. It complied, wax surprisingly cool to the touch as it settled itself in her palms. "Do you have a name, Mr. Candle?"

    "Lit! Wick!"

"Ah, I guess that's all you can say..." Trailing off, Manaka mulled over the implications of that for a moment. Then, she shrugged, her expression returning to that beaming smile a second later. "I'll figure out something cute to call you myself! For now, can you show me where I am?"

    Timeline: Before her Coronation

    Original Character Background:

    Brief World History

Metaferia is a world where magic and industry meld into one. The way it started was with two races, the Gethin and Lleucu. The Gethin were a race that were said to control the earth. They lived off the land and assisted the humans in the world with their magic, but as the world continue to advance, so did their powers. They eventually became able to control metals, helping with building large buildings. However, the Lleucu, a race that spoke and controlled plants and crystal, became upset with the disturbance in the life energy of their charges. They wanted someone to stop the growth of the Gethin and Human race, to go back to a simple time where they lived off the land and strives for a simple life.

Metaferia was plunged into war shortly after, the Humans that lived there becoming a causality of the war. The High King, who was human, looked after his people as best he could, eventually leading to joining the Gethin in their fight against the Lleucu. They have been at war for hundreds of years at the start of the story.

    Character History

No one was sure how it started, but the stories humans tell detail a Lleucu was killed and hung from a metal spike. It was the start of the war. It was in the middle of it, when the Gethin were losing their numbers, which two princesses were born to each race. Dwyn, the King of the Gethin, was so happy and overjoyed, despite the loss of his wife during the pregnancy.

That was when he decided to attempt conversation with the King of the Human Race to end the war, but the Lleucu’s loss ended up harming them more than anything. Kaera, the royal advisor/priestess to the Lleucu, attempted to help with the negotiation, attempted to get her people to see with her sister (Ida), but she was banished from the forests they lived in. Taking her magic to the Gethin, she assisted them in the final battle, meeting the one year old princess of the Gethin. Dwyn loved his daughter, who, while shy, loved everyone she met. She was a very powerful story teller, an act of fortune telling used in her race. However, Kaera saw her potential and convinced Dwyn to name the High King her god father.

Shortly after, Dwyn died and the Gethin race was declared extinct. The High King established a treaty between the humans and the Lleucu, allowing them to continue to build their world up and allowing the Lleucu to maintain the forests. Kaera moved in and became the advisor to the high king and the teacher to Kiah. Once she was safely in the castle, Kiah had a spell placed on her that made her appear human. Her skin remained dark, but, her long dark hair in perfect, short curls.

The only thing that anyone could ever determine about her was that she was a beautiful young princess. However, Kaera’s lessons proved that Kiah wasn’t as fair and beautiful as she appeared to be. Bitter with the Lleucu for banishing her from her sister, Kaera was planning on using Kiah for her plans, given her powers. It was surprising to her when she discovered that the child had the ability to manipulate and create metal, like her father did. She seemed to lean more towards iron, for some reason. However, it was very clear that she could not control her powers. On her lesson days, Kaera would place her into her room, but the King became worried when the servants who checked on her would end up severely wounded or dead.

What could they do? If she couldn’t control her powers, then they would have to keep her inside all the time. While she learned from Kaera, they kept her under close watch in the castle. The staff was reduced to only a few servants and many soldiers who doubled up on jobs. But it still wasn’t enough. Kaera was noticing a dark energy inside of Kiah, one that was having trouble staying down. Instead of trying to get rid of it, the teacher decided to encase it into a crystal inside Kiah’s body. It would be controlled when the time was right. She was about four when the crystals were placed, causing her to become very ill. She was unable to control herself again and the king locked her in her room with constant watch from the best magicians.

Unfortunately, he was afraid that Kiah, even though she was a child, would harm herself. He wanted to find someone for her, someone who could ease her loneliness and pain. Kaera suggested a girl from a village she knew of, a girl who was rumored to have the ability to calm magical powers. The king sent Kaera to bring her to the castle. Little did the king realize, but Kaera, along with a few loyal soldiers, ended up kidnapping the princess of the Lleucu who was said to possess very unique abilities. Her name was Aine. Using the crystal magic that she had been taught in the temples, Kaera erased Aine’s memories and told the king was abandoned when the village was attacked by some “strange magic”.

When Aine awoke, Kiah was sneaking into her room to see the rumored person who had shown up. Kiah was still very weak, as was Aine, given Kaera’s magic was effecting them both. They became friends, the princess telling Aine that they would create new memories for her, together. After that, Kiah seemed to be doing better. She played with Aine a lot, having tea parties and telling her stories with all the little gold creatures she could make. However, Aine began to wonder why every other day Kiah would be locked in her room. She knew that Kiah had magic lessons and would become very tired afterwards, but that was it. Why lock her in a room?

Kiah discovered that one day, the door had been left unlocked. Aine came in and found her on her bed, shaking and trying to create her little creatures, but they would dissolve. When Kiah found out someone was in there, she immediately started to create frightening statues of iron soldiers, stick like and half melting. Aine finally reached her after sustaining some minor burns and injuries, calming her down. It was then that Kiah realized that Aine had some kind of magic relating to the crystals that Kaera used. Once she and her magic was calmed, Kiah stated she wanted Aine there every day after her magic lessons. Aine promised she would never leave Kiah's side.

After that, Kiah was still locked into the castle, still continued her classes and received combat training. It was obvious that Kiah was skilled with a glaive, often opting out of using her powers during combat. She seemed happy, however, her classes seemed to become more in depth. Kaera began to work on controlling her mind, making her into a emotionless weapon. Using Aine and Kiah’s connection, Kaera also started to control Aine, which made it easier to alter Kiah who she saw fit.

Outside of her classes, Kiah seemed to enjoy being inside the castle. She like to spend time in the garden and generally stay inside. It was slightly because she knew it was protecting everyone, but also she didn’t particularly know how to act around others. As she grew older, though, she became more and more attached to Aine, which eventually led to her developing feelings for her. Kaera noticed and used it to her advantage. Now, as Kaera grew up, it was obvious the king and queen were needing to step down, but Kiah often said she didn’t feel very sure about that.

When speaking to her father one day, she became very nervous and the magic keeping her human ended up loosening. She discovered her true form and her father immediately took her to Kaera who placed another spell on her in hopes that it was stay. Her magic was too strong, unfortunately, so it would not stay forever. Adding to her stress, the 16 year old never wanted anyone to find out how she really looked, especially Aine. It wasn’t long before she told the other how she felt and her feelings were reciprocated. However, the magic continued to dissolve and Kiah was growing. Finally her magic undid the spell and she ended up in her full form, a tall, dark skinned Gethin, something she was surprised to find out about. The King said that they adopted her and never told her for her safety, wanting her to live peacefully, like Dwyn wanted.

But Kiah became angry. She wanted to know why she was left, why she wasn’t told about what she was. Why she continually had to hide. Kaera, again, used this in her lessons and as it neared her 18th birthday, Kiah was ready to help Kaera with her plan. Currently, Kiah is getting ready for her coronation to become the next queen of the people, unaware of what Kaera’s true plan is.

Personality: Kiah tends to be a very socially awkward person, given her time locked away in the castle with only a few people. Normally, this comes off as standoffish and uncertain, but, she’s very kind to everyone around her, even if it’s hard for her to show it completely. When she’s around anyone in the castle, she tends to react very loudly and with an over dramatic air, but when she doesn’t know someone, she tends to close off. Given that she was raised in a castle and not allowed to the outside very often, it’s hard for her to not react shyly towards others that she hasn't gotten to know well. She speaks softly with those people, but when she gets close to them, she’s able to open up a little bit more.

Despite her stature, Kiah is very gentle. She always tries to help others and please them, despite being a princess. She wants to make sure everyone she cares for is protected before considering herself. It’s the main reason why Kiah ends up controlled by Kaera, her teacher. It’s very easy to sway her in any direction, unfortunately. She’s gullible to a fault because she’s wanting to please everyone and believe everyone (which is due to her being closed off from most of society until she turned 18). If she had a quote, she would say “I don’t have a reason not to believe someone”. Thankfully, Aine tends to reign that in and keep her safe, even if sometimes she has to forcefully guide her away.

Surprisingly, Kiah is very brave. She will jump in and save anyone/thing, wanting to establish peace very quickly. However, she can be very brash and ends up hurt. She tends not to take herself into consideration, which is also due to her training with Kaera. Kiah will continue to push and push until she’s hurt, but not see a problem if everyone is safe. It takes a lot to convince her to not jump into a dangerous situation. However, she has a little bit of a temper because of her lack of social experience. She tends to jumps into the wrong reaction and acts before any thought passes through her head. It’s hard for her to keep her anger in check, especially around Aine. However, when she does explode, it tends to lead to her wanting to hurt someone. She struggles with it afterwards though, because she feels terrible for hurting people. It’s a conflict Kiah has a lot of trouble with, because of her gentle personality. She doesn’t want to hurt, but her temper gets her in a lot of trouble, eventually allowing her powers to lose control.

The problem with Kiah is that she has another part of her personality that’s like a very loose trigger. It’s partially her anger that tends to let loose, however, the part that is considered a weapon is very careless and snarky, often baiting her opponent before finishing the job. However, it’s a part of Kiah that she tries to keep hidden. When she is experiencing high levels of stress or anxiety (or Kaera activates the crystal embedded in her heart), this trigger is pulled and she almost uses it as a defense mechanism to save herself from being hurt or upset by things she does.

However, she laughs and enjoys life fully, or tries to. Despite the controlling situation she’s in, Kiah keeps a positive heart and enjoys to be with the people she’s close to. She laughs and tells stories as often as she can with servants and her adoptive parents (despite the anger she feels about them keeping her true form from her). Even though she is shy around people she isn’t familiar with and rather awkward, Kiah tries her best to please everyone and keep those she loves safe. Kiah’s best when she’s happy, given that her destructive power can cause her a lot of trouble.

Starter: Goomy; Goomy is said to be one of the weakest dragon type Pokemon, but it can grow to be pretty strong. Kiah may be strong, but she has a weaker will due to her anxiety and shyness. I thought they would be a good team so they can help build each other up, in some ways.

Kiah couldn’t believe it. She pulled at her hair trying to get it to come out. She didn’t want this, she wanted to be normal. Why did she keep changing back? Kiah looked over to the sleeping form on her bed, feeling a panic rush to her chest. What if she woke up and saw her like this? With red markings, dark skin…Her hair so long now that it touched the floor. She couldn’t understand why she couldn’t keep her regular form. Her typical, normal, human form. It wasn’t fair.

How could anyone like something like this? With long nails, bright red eyes. Something so savage didn’t deserve to be a princess…it deserved to be taken and placed into the wild. Kiah looked in the mirror again, feeling anger now, judgment to her own self. Why couldn’t you just stay human? Why did you have to be something different?

Her father had given her a gift and was taken away from her. Given her the gift of life, to live normally and happily, to love and appreciate the things around her. But how could she? She was told by Kaera that she was nothing more than a monster, something that people were scared of. This magic her father placed on her to maintain a normal human form was nothing more than a cover to keep her out of trouble.

“I hate you!” She suddenly screamed, punching the mirror so hard that it broke, along with the casing and stand. It clattered loudly to the floor, causing the person on the bed to bolt up, looking.

“Kiah? Kiah!” She said quickly as she got out of bed. Kiah immediately tried to back away, her hand bleeding on the floor.

“Aine, stay back, please…” She said, quietly, holding her hand closer to her chest, as if to lick her own wound. Aine watched her for a moment, watching as her hair pulled around her like a curtain, her body almost completely hidden. The markings were glowing faintly as Kiah started to cry, red blood staining her white night gown. Aine moved slowly forward, bringing her hand into hers. Slowly, stars started to form around the wound, healing it.

“Don’t be so frightened, Kiah, You are beautiful no matter how you look. Someday, I will help you understand that.”

Victory Road Sample: [ Kiah held Goomy close to her chest. She wasn’t sure where to go or what to do, which made it hard for her to really start her journey. Aine wasn’t here and for the first time, she was outside. Part of her wanted to believe that she’d be all right, but this was not her home.

Blushing, she noticed some trainers staring at her. She was in her coronation dress; a long white dress with golden trim, her hair half up in a bun with her rest of her curls falling down her back. Kiah kind of wanted to hide now, as her Goomy warbled in her arms to keep her attention. ]

I am sorry, little one. I am not sure I’m the right person for you to be with…

[ Her voice is quiet. The Pokemon just warbles and tries to seem excited and happy, to relieve Kiah. She actually returned the smile, but it was awkward. Looking around and finding a building with an orange roof, she began to walk. ]

Maybe someone can find me some better clothes…

    Character
    Name: Ienzo, previously Zexion
    Series: Kingdom Hearts
Timeline: Some time after Lea leaves Radiant Garden in KH3D, after establishing that Isa and Braig aren't there.
Canon Resource Links: Ienzo and Zexion, his Nobody and who he spent much of his life as.

Personality: Ienzo has been through two huge and rather unique changes over the course of his life, first when he lost his heart and became apparently emotionless the Nobody Zexion as a child and then, years later, regaining his heart and becoming the human Ienzo again. What we see of the human Ienzo is a smart and observant young man prone to either speaking little or babbling if given half the chance to explain, hypothesize, or theorize about something. Everything else about him is largely drawn from what we see of Zexion, his Nobody, since we've seen from the Lea/Axel situation that Nobodies and Others are largely the same person unless bodysnatching is involved or you're Roxas.

Despite being the youngest apprentice by a fair bit, there is no sign that Ienzo was ever terribly naive and was in fact quite the opposite. He disobeyed his teachers and guardians when he explored Radiant Garden and was very persuasive as a child, able to talk Ansem the Wise into making an underground lab to perform their experiments on the darkness in people's hearts (admittedly at Xehanort's urging, but it was still Ienzo who did it). Given that his title in the Organization was "Cloaked Schemer", it's likely this persuasiveness remained as he grew up while Zexion; though never stated outright, Ienzo and Zexion are both extraordinarily intelligent and great tactical thinkers, and his persuasive abilities could possibly come from his ability to observe the situation and determine how best to make it work for him.

As Zexion, he was the leader of the loyal members of the Organization in Castle Oblivion, likely due to this ability to make things work for him and general skill level. However, that didn't mean he was above snarking at Vexen one of the men who raised him and his "numerical superior", lecturing Xigbar (another elder and superior) about his laziness and eavesdropping, or expressing disgust at how the Organization had fallen apart recently. Still, he held those bonds tightly, crossing both his loss of heart and his restoration as a human, like with his sort-of friendship with Vexen who was one of his guardians as Even and his acceptance of Lea despite having been killed by him as Axel, though that might have been because Ienzo knew what Axel did was for the best in the end.

He likes things being in control and he likes being in control. He does not tolerate laziness, though at the same time he isn't a jerk about having to explain things to people who don't understand it, though he may get carried away and babble about it. That being said, things going out of control tend to get one of two reactions: full blown panic or complete shut down. As Zexion, a supposedly emotionless being, he goes into a full-blown panic when his plans for Riku fails and as Axel prompts the replica Riku to kill him. Meanwhile, as a child Ienzo hardly spoke to anyone and didn’t even react when three Unversed were surrounding him, staying perfectly still and just staring at them until Ven rushed in and told him to run...and then just staring at Ven when Even found the two boys. While it is possible that as a child he was simply too curious and had a severely underdeveloped sense of danger for someone his age, the fact that he did run away when told says he knew he was in danger. He just didn't know what to do about it.

Much like emotions. As Zexion, Ienzo grew up with severely stunted or completely absent emotions beyond what he could remember from being human...and since he was at most ten when he was human, he didn’t exactly remember too many complicated emotions or at least how to express them. While he’s happy to be human again, it’s very likely that he has next to no ability to process emotions like someone his age should.

    Pokémon Information
    Affiliation: Breeder
Starter: I would like to give Ienzo a Ralts. I know they're hard-to-find Pokemon, but given that Ralts's powers and Pokedex can be dependent on emotions I feel that it'd be interesting to give a person who spent much of his life emotionless and is suddenly feeling everything an empathetic Pokémon.

Victory Road Sample: Finally free from that demented woman who called herself his mother and the strange and remarkably unhelpful "professor", Ienzo glanced down at the small thing clinging desperately to his legs and shaking. Compared to the other "Pokémon" he could see around him, this one seemed almost sick. There was one other like his paired with a human and that one seemed to be excited, making soft "ra" noises as they poked and prodded their human.

They were also taller than his, but honestly Ienzo wasn't surprised that his "Pokémon" was short. Besides, shortness was rarely a health concern. It was the shaking, clinging, and soft crying that concerned him. Ienzo wasn't an expert in...Poké-Biology or whatever, but common sense said that this wasn't normal.

"Here, let go for a moment." He bent down and began to pry the little creature off his leg. For something so small and fragile looking, they had a strong grip and it took a minute before Ienzo could finally lift the little thing up to get a proper look at it. Comparing the color to the other creature nearby told him nothing was wrong with it there....and that was about as much as Ienzo could determine from just looking at it. He had no idea what this creature's normal body temperature was or how to tell if it had an upset stomach, or even what it was called.

Carefully setting them back on the ground, he dug out the strange cell phone he'd been handed along with the backpack. Surely this world had internet, right? It looked advanced enough to, at any rate, and there was bound to be someone who could help him figure out what was wrong.

The device started up and promptly booted up the "PokéDex" app. It flashed instructions at Ienzo (point it at the Pokémon and wait) before going blank; curious, he pointed the device at his little creature and waited. The screen flashed again, this time showing the Pokémon and various stats.

"Ralts," read a calm voice, causing Ienzo to nearly drop his device. "The Feeling Pokémon. Ralts has the ability to sense the emotions of people. If its Trainer is in a cheerful mood, this Pokémon grows cheerful and joyous in the same way."

Ienzo just stared at the device before glancing back to the Ralts and sighing. "Empathy. This world has a very odd sense of humor." At least he was capable of emotions now; he dreaded to imagine how the Ralts would react if he were still Zexion. (And why was he concerned about this tiny creature, anyway? Some faint empathy thanks to the few memories he had of his life pre-Zexion? Or was the Ralts just that pathetic?)

He shoved the gear back in his pocket, picked up the Ralts, and glanced towards the way out of town. "I hope you don't mind traveling with me a little," he murmured, trying to mimic the way he remembered Ansem or Aeleus speaking to him when he was scared as a child. "If someone can help you or find you someone you're not utterly terrified to be around, it won't be here." The Ralts nodded with a soft "al" and seemed to settle down as they headed off. They were still shaking, but there was nothing to be done about that.

That music, though. That music was going to get annoying.

    http://www.shmoop.com/wicked-book/glinda.html
Personality: Glinda is normally described as Glinda the Good and that's for a reason. Outwardly she is seen to be paragon of virtue, beauty and kindness. Being a public figure Glinda works hard to maintain this image of goodliness as it does well for her to be seen as virtuous. People always love a good person and the public of Oz seem to do so in abundance. In recent years she has grown much more mature and careful with her words due to taking a more prominent position in the public eye, having to take up the mantle of Ozma Regent.

Her life goals originally were to find a rich husband who would take care of her and to be a powerful witch. Due to a series of events, most linking to her friendship with Elphaba, her life hasn't quite turned out that way however and she's instead been left broken-hearted and lonely. However, she covers this incredibly well often joking that her face hurts from smiling so much. Glinda would never outwardly let herself be seen to be sad or upset in public as it's incredibly unseemly and above all else, she will keep her composure. She won't let herself be seen as anything other than being cheerful and joyful. It wouldn't be proper not to be so.

Glinda always seeks social approval and rarely steps out of the norms expected of her having even changed her name from Galinda to Glinda in the aftermath or Doctor Dillamond's death in order to gain both Fiyero and Elphaba's approval and show her grief in a very public manner.

Fundamentally, she is a kind woman who wants the best for her friends and family if not a vain one. She can come off as selfish and immature in her simplistic approach to the world but that is merely how she sees it all. She never went out looking for political office or to be an important public figure of Oz but became one due to circumstance, never the less she took the burden on without a word and did her best with it because she realised that she could be a figurehead for the happiness of Oz. She has evolved into a strong and independent witch.

Glinda sighed and shuffled a little further under the tree that she was sheltering under from the rain. “Azurill, get out of the rain, deary.” She coaxed, reaching into the bag she had been given, searching in vain for an umbrella. It was too cold and damp to continue on the trail for the rest of the day. Her little blue friend was all too happy to keep splashing in puddles. The former Witch tutted under her breath, finding treats in the bag instead. “Zuzu, come here, sweet. Look what I found.” She tried to coax her Pokemon to under the tree with her, concerned that it was going to get ill from being out in the wet. Glinda hadn’t dealt with animals since she was a very young girl but even she remembered that most animals couldn’t resist the lure of food.
Sure enough Zuzu came scrambling to sit on her lap and Glinda wrapped an arm around her little friend protectively as she offered her a handful of the treats that she had found. “You know, Zuzu, if we were home right now I could probably have made a nice big warm house for us here so we wouldn’t have to be out in the rain.” She sighed. “My poor dress is ruined.” Zuzu nuzzled into Glinda’s skirts. “Oh, are you tired? Me too.” She smiled at her, looking up towards the sky with hope as the clouds began to break and the rain started to lighten up. “But it’s only a few more hours until the next town.” Glinda narrated for them, stroking Zuzu behind her ears. “And when we get there I think we are going to find a humongastratic comfertational bed for us to sleep in. And we can get some delicious food together.” The Witch rocked them both from side to side. “And I think when we get there, first order of business; an umbrella!”

    Name: Anders
    Series: Dragon Age
Timeline: During “The Last Straw” - Dragon Age II
Canon Resource Links: Anders on the Dragon Age wiki
Note: For the sake of maintaining character individuality, Anders will be separated from Justice at the canon point he is taken from. That’ll be fun for him to deal with.

    Personality:
Anders is frequently self-described as “charming,” and projects a cheerful, playful personality that has historically made him both popular and impudent. He certainly has a quick wit about him, demonstrated in teasing banter with his companions and an ability to play situations in his favor. He has shown to use his natural charisma to weasel his way out of conflict, particularly in his time spent in the Circle of Magi, where his nearly incessant acts of defiance should have earned him harsh punishment.

He greatly resents having been robbed of his freedom at a young age, and clings to this bitterness towards the Chantry and its practices well into adulthood, masking it with the humor and cleverness he’s always had. For a while, he seems fairly carefree in spite of always being hunted by Templars. He is content enough with his freedom and feels no obligation to anyone but himself, and brushes off accusations that he is selfish and owes his aid to all mages who still face oppression.

Over time, however, he grows steadily more sickened by this mentality, and decides to strike a deal with his friend, a spirit of justice, to act as his host and work together to help his fellow mages. The results are disastrous. The rage that Anders has harbored for so long towards the Chantry and its Templars and Circles corrupts the spirit of justice, turning it into a spirit of vengeance.

Any time Anders’ fury overwhelms him, Vengeance takes over, exacting brutal punishment on the deserving, sometimes not discerning innocent bystanders from oppressors, and leaving gaps in Anders’ memory. Anders realizes on some level that allowing himself to be possessed was a mistake, but the process is irreversible.

While there are horrible dangers now inherent in him, it also seems his better recognition of injustices makes him a more caring person overall. He selflessly aids those who need it but cannot find help elsewhere. To right a wrong carried out by an uncaring government, Anders offers his healing powers at no cost to poor refugees, although in doing so, he puts himself in great danger from the Templars.

Now well aware of the unpredictable and indiscriminatory nature of even a “good” spirit, he frequently expresses concern about being an Abomination, and greatly fears harming innocent people or those he loves in a fit of rage. He often tells his closest friends that he could only ever end up hurting them in one way or another, and to stay away from him if they aren’t prepared for the repercussions.

In spite of the apprehension he holds for the unrecognizable being he has become, Anders never loses sight of why he merged with Justice in the first place; to free those mages who still suffer in fear and chains. “Obsession” is too tame a word for his actions. Almost every word out of his mouth and every action of his own choice for years is insistent upon people hearing and recognizing the plight of his fellow mages. Though he never quite loses his charm and sense of humor entirely, over time they pale more and more in favor of his tireless desire for justice. Even his wit steadily becomes more self-destructive, his sharp tongue getting him into fights rather than out of them.

When he feels like he has exhausted all other options, Anders truly takes matters into his own hands, inciting a mage rebellion in an act of terrorism against the Chantry. Finally, his fury ebbs and he shows how truly exhausted his efforts over the years, fighting for mages’ freedom and struggling to stay in control of himself, have made him. He recognizes his murder of many innocent people and readily accepts his fate if it means dying for what he has done, but he still feels justified in having done it. As Anders says himself, he is the cause of mages; by this time, there is “nothing else inside him.”

    -Character
    Name: Marian Hawke
    Series: Dragon Age II
Timeline: During “The Last Straw” - Dragon Age II. Immediately following the explosion of the Chantry
Canon Resource Links: A summary of Hawke can be found here, and a summary of what she is can be found here

-History/Customization justification: Born a mage in a world opposed to her, Hawke has spent a good portion of her life wary of the Templars. As Bethany points out in a non-mage playthrough, it was necessary to know which templars to be afraid of and which wouldn’t immediately rat them out. It can be presumed that Hawke spent her life in this way as well.

Given the fact the Mage/Templar war is all tied back to Hawke, or at least implied as much by Cassandra, it would make sense that Hawke was on one side of the conflict or the other. Furthermore, Hawke descends from a line of mages, so it would make sense that the line continues onward.

Finally, the game provides a unique amount of opportunities and bonus dialogue for a mage Hawke. Given the excess of bonus content, it would make sense gameplay wise for Hawke to have gone this route.

Regardless of her class, it is clear that she feels some amount of desire to protect mages. She does not hesitate to go toe-to-toe with Ser Wesley when he threatens Bethany (and herself). Hawke’s magical abilities are greatly helpful in the fight against darkspawn, though they are unable to save Bethany in the end. Her sister’s legacy carries on, both in her memory, and that of her mother’s.

She has a deep rivalry with her brother, on the other hand. His bitterness both toward her success and her lineage leaves them at odds often. Frequently he makes comments about how inconvenient her nature as a mage, and therefore her avoidance of the templars, is. Hawke left Carver behind when she went off on the Deep Roads expedition, resulting in his joining of the templars, pitting him against her.

Despite being a mage, Hawke is deeply opposed to blood magic, refusing to use it to any advantage. That said, she does not follow the edict of “guilty by association.” Those who are merely caught up with abominations and blood magic by association do not and will not face her wrath. She frees Kerran and sticks up for him, relying on Anders’ test of the boy, despite the threat he might have posed. Moreover, she allows the mages travelling with Decimus to run free, despite having been tied to a blood mage.

Hawke does not believe in the captivity of mages, nor of their forced tranquility, in the event that they are captive in the circle. She frees Saarebas that the qunari intended to kill, encourages Emile de Launcet to not return to the circle, and allows Feynriel to escape to the Dalish (and Tevinter afterward). She also later refuses to hand him over to or make a deal with Torpor.

Finally she encourages Anders to kill Karl, unable to fathom the idea of being made tranquil herself.

In turn, Hawke actively strikes out against blood mages, such as Gascard DuPuis, killing him for tormenting Alessa and his dalliances with demons.

Though Merrill is her friend, she is not saved from Hawke’s ire, who remarks upon her blood magic by pointing out that the demons will not always assist her.

The most important thing to note and, as stated before, Hawke is loyal to the mages, through and through, and chooses to side with them during the first confrontation between Orsino and Meredith.

The following segment is for personality reference only. I understand that not every character will be from the same timeline and do not expect anyone else to follow this. These are only examples of my portrayal of Hawke.

    Anders:

Though she was wary of Justice at first, Hawke does what she can to keep Anders and his spirit companion in check throughout the course of their journey. While she is at least relatively successful in calming him down, it becomes more difficult with time. She is barely able to stop Justice from killing the mage, Ella. After presenting the evidence of the Tranquil solution to Anders, she also reveals that Elthina is sympathetic to their plight.

Over the course of their relationship, Hawke does what she can to keep Anders safe, even going as far to offer him a key to her home. The two developed a relationship over the course of their time together [Note: this detail has been approved by the mun of Anders]

Hawke willingly goes along with Anders’ plan to sever the tie between himself and Justice. In the course of her conversation with Elthina, she urges her to consider the conflict between the mages and the templars. Elthina, at the very least, takes a neutral route.

    Merrill:

Hawke is friendly toward Merrill, even if Merrill doesn’t quite catch on to her sense of humor. She is initially (if a little reluctantly) receptive to the elf’s plan to patch the eluvian, the more that blood magic comes up, the more troubled she becomes. She eventually denies the Arulin’Holm to Merrill, and outright refuses to aid her in communicating with the demon she has been working with, straining their relationship.

    Fenris:

Hawke’s relationship to Fenris is lukewarm at best. While she is supportive of his crusade against slavers, and supports his search for his sister, Hawke’s painstaking support of mages puts her in a difficult situation with the former slave. She supports the killing of his sister, the traitor, and refuses to hand him over to Danarius.

    Varric:

Hawke has an extremely amicable relationship with Varric. Given her sarcastic nature, the two fit together well. Even after Varric warns her about Anders, their relationship continues smoothly. Hawke is more than willing to lend a hand whenever necessary, but also the occasional jab in regards to his story telling. Despite their mirthful relationship, however, Hawke will not hesitate to stand up to him for his own good, in this case by denying the lyrium shard and handing it off to Sandal. She doesn’t hold it against him.

Though readily onboard with killing Bartrand (quite annoyed by his betrayal), when Varric advocates for mercy for Bartrand in his broken state, Hawke agrees.

    Aveline:

Though their relationship can be a little rocky at times due to Hawke’s support of the mages, the champion still considers Aveline to be a close friend. Hawke frequently lends a hand, and is encouraging toward Aveline and her position in the guard. She also willingly plays matchmaker for Aveline and Donnic.

    Isabela:

Hawke does what she can to assist Isabela in her quest for the relic. Knowing that Isabela stole the object in repayment for the freed slaves, and given the fact that she has become close to her, she does not turn Isabela over to the qunari. At times they have disagreements, with Hawke being a little less cutthroat than Isabela might have desired, they still get along.

    Sebastian:

While Hawke helped Sebastian in avenging his family, Hawke did not follow through with the remainder of his requests, and therefore did not “recruit” him.

    -Personality:

Hawke, as mentioned above, went along the sarcastic route in game. Her demeanor has endeared herself to some (such as Varric), and put her on edge with others (the initially staunch Aveline). Even in her dalliances with her suitors, she maintains a playful edge, joking with Anders that she is hungry, rather than continuing their intimate discussions.

Despite her carefree demeanor, she is not exempt from taking things seriously. The templar threat, the idea of being made tranquil, and the mage plight all resonate deeply with her. She has been known to “break character” in order to defend her fellow mages. Familial issues, such as the death of her sister, her brother’s “betrayal” and her mother’s death all strike her deeply. Her family is everything, the last of what she has left from her time in Ferelden and very likely all she ever had, given the “risk” she posed. It is her family that stuck with her and protected her, rather than turning her and her sister away to the circle.

In some ways, Hawke tends to use her humor as a defense mechanism, shielding herself from the dark road she has walked. Hawke’s life has been spent running and hiding from various threats. The bulk of her family takes their roles seriously. Someone needs to keep her family going, and keep the smiles coming.

Her demeanor changes to some degree as time goes along, however. While she maintains her playful nature, she is quite aware of her role within the city. She is the champion, and the face of success and a better life for mages. For that reason there are certain situations that Hawke must take seriously, despite her desire to do otherwise.

One of her biggest struggles, at present, is just how willing she would have been to kill Anders if they had remained in Kirkwall. While she continues to feel strongly for him, she as a mage had to be the one to put down her fellow mage, lest her opposition use him as an example of why mages should be kept locked away.

In coming into her role as a diplomat, Hawke has also learned to navigate her role with other cultures. While she still has a joke on her tongue at times, when it becomes obvious that she is one of the few people capable of dealing with these foreign people (such as the qunari), she does what she can to be amicable. It helps when there are common threads in dealing with other cultures, such as magic. It did not matter to Hawke that Saarebas was a qunari, only that he was a mage and one of her own. The same could be said for Feynriel, or Merrill. With all that in mind, of course, Hawke still lacks some amount of tact and grace in matters, never shying away from slightly off-color commentary.

    [Well this was... interesting.]

[One moment, Hawke was overwhelmed by a bright light, a dizzying dance of both red and white. The next, she was on her back on the floor of a quaint room. After only a few seconds, a woman burst into the room, chattering at the speed of light. Hawke only processed a few words of what she was saying. Something about being her daughter. About an adventure. She shoved a backpack into her arms and sent her off into the world.]

[She had to be dreaming. Even after she pinched herself a handful of times, even after she processed the wind against her face, she kept telling herself it had to be a dream.]

[She took a few steps before finding that her brain couldn't quite process both her whirling thoughts and the idea of moving in a straight line, and quickly plopped down in the grass.]

    Maker's breath...

[Had Varric slipped her a heavier drink than she was used to? It didn't quite seem right — she could keep up with the best of them. Besides, the last thing she really remembered, aside from the incessant flashes in her head, was picking up a letter.]

[But then, how could she describe everything that she was seeing? The strange mother was one thing, but there was so much more. In "her" room, there was what looked to be a mirror, only it didn't really reflect much unless she stared closely at it. Strangely enough, there was a similar mirror in the common room, only it reflected other people. Perhaps it was magic, a long distance communication device. The same could be said about the fire encased in glass that she saw on each door step, and even in the house she could come from.]

    Magic then. Freely used magic.

[Had she been whisked away to some magical commune, then? But, as Hawke noted how naked and light her back was, she figured that it wouldn't make sense to strip her of her staff.]

[The more she thought about it, the more uncomfortable she became. Everything felt... strangely quiet. Dull even. It felt as if she had been plagued by an incessant ringing in her ears, only for it to stop out of nowhere.]

    [But what was missing?]

[Her head throbbed, the dizzying dance of lights doing no good for her brain. Lifting a hand to her head, Hawke prepared herself to use her magic, to heal her headache in the same way that Anders had taught her.]

[The rush of magic didn't come.]

[It took her only a second to swipe her hand over to her forehead, painstakingly examining her skin for the sickening brand she had come to fear. She knew it was impossible, there was no way she was tranquil if she was feeling all of these emotions. But still she searched. She understood then why things felt so quiet, so empty.]

[She could no longer feel the fade.]

[Once she was satisfied that she hadn't been made Tranquil (or at least knew that there was no physical evidence) Hawke leapt to her feet. There was something happening here, there was something she was missing. And she was determined to interrogate every last soul until she understood what was going on.]

    Character
    Name: Elize Lutus
    Series: Tales of Xillia
Timeline: Close to the end of the game, when the party is in Elympios
Canon Resource Links: Elize @ The Tales Wiki

Personality: As Elize was left on her own for long periods of time, with just Teepo as her only real companion, she's rather sheltered. The only other people she really got to interact with were Jiao, who was pretty distant, and the townsfolk of Hamil, who weren't fond of her. Because of this, she starts out very quiet and shy. Though Teepo does often blurt out her thoughts and secrets, this mostly just causes her to be very embarrassed. She's not very used to having friends and you can tell throughout the game that she's still figuring out how to act around them.

She's just not all that well adjusted, socially. For the most part she does okay thanks to sticking with the party, but she has real trouble talking to people, especially strangers. It's hard for her. But she does get better at it as the game progresses. Still, even in the ending, she says she's still learning. But for someone who's spent most of her days locked away in a shed in a town that hates her? That's really to be expected.

She is a very sweet girl, mind you. Even though she's shy and might be nervous around some people, she's generally very friendly. She really wants to make friends with people, even if those people aren't her age. And she tries to be considerate of others. For example, even though she's very intimidated by Wingul and even gets angry about the way he talks about Jiao's death, she quickly becomes sympathetic when he changes his tone, since she then starts to think they might've been friends.

Elize is pretty cheerful too, even if it's sometimes hidden by the shyness. This is especially easy to see through Teepo, who's always very enthusiastic and energetic. Which might not mean much, until you remember that Teepo's really just voicing Elize's thoughts.

Not that that sweetness means she's always nice. When someone is cruel or mean, she can't stand it. She doesn't hesitate to call people out for talking badly of someone she likes. Especially when they're supposed to be on the same side. Again, this happens with the Chimeriad a bunch, as she really doesn't like the way they speak of Jiao. They were a team, which means they had to be friends, and you don't say bad things about your friends. Simple as that.

Then there are times when she's maybe a little less justified in her dislike. Elize is a child, after all, and thus sometimes lets her feelings get the better of her. After going through some painful experiences and is dealing with a lot of hurt, she becomes very emotional and lashes out against some of the others in the group. Poor Leia gets the worst of this, who only tried to comfort Elize, but chose her words a little poorly. They make up again later after the others make her see she was being unreasonable, since Elize definitely didn't actually want to hurt Leia, but it still takes some time.

She can hold a heck of a grudge, really. It takes her a long time to warm up to Alvin again after his betrayals. The rest of the group might be distrustful, but they still act civil towards him for the most part. Elize? Elize makes it very clear how she feels about him. It's no surprise, given her age, that she's really blunt. Sometimes she gets outright snarky about it, constantly calling him a liar and commenting on how he's probably going to betray them again.

Still, in the end, she does forgive him and the two get pretty close. If someone's really trying, she'll probably forgive them. Even if she'll still make fun of them a little. She's not a spiteful person, after all, not really. She just expects better of people.

And, of course, Elize is kind of naive. As expected of a twelve year old girl. Whenever Alvin or someone else (but usually Alvin) tells some obvious lie meant to mess with her, she tends to accept it at face value. She makes for a really easy target. So she'll absolutely believe it if you tell her, say, that wyverns feed on human souls and they could've eaten part of her soul when she was riding one. It's easy to scare her in general. People especially intimidate her very quickly.

Then again, she's a party member in a JRPG, so she's still very brave. Even if she's quickly scared by stuff, that doesn't mean she'll back down. She fights right alongside everyone, taking down monsters much bigger than her. She even fights a few Aquadragons all on her own. Scared doesn't mean she's not determined, after all. She's a courageous young girl. And you gotta hand it to her that, despite all the horrible things she goes through, she gets through it all. Even at such a young age, she's got an impressive amount of inner strength.

Huh? Did it do something? [There's a cry of "Happy!" off-screen for a second and the screen 'shakes' slightly, as if someone's tapping the gear that's recording.] Oh... Do you know how this works? I'm not really sure what I'm...

[She stares some more at the screen, tilting it left, then right... even flipping it upside down. Then she blinks a few times as some of the information on the screen finally registers...]

W-Wait, can people see me through this? Um, I... I'm... [She looks around nervously, before reaching down and picking up a Happiny, which she quickly hides her face behind.] You... You say something instead...! I don't know what I'm supposed to do... [The little Happiny looks very confused, but her trainer is still hiding behind her.]

Um. Is there really someone out there? I'm really lost.

[...Like this it does almost seem like it's the Happiny talking instead of the girl. That's one way to talk to the network. She does, shyly, poke out her head juuuust a little. But it's really just the top of her face that's visible now.]

I'm looking for my friends. Jude? Milla? Can you guys hear me?

    ...Teepo?

[Oh, geez, at that last name she almost sounds close to tears.]

    Character
    Name: Thida
    Series: Splatoon
Timeline: After completion of Hero Mode and the first North American Splatfest, Cats vs Dogs, in which Dogs won through sheer popularity alone. Thida was on Team Dog.
Canon Resource Links: Since Thida is a customizable/silent protagonist, I can offer wiki links about the canon of Splatoon itself. Inkopolis, where most of the game takes place, and Inklings, Thida's species, are important things to note, and the worldbuilding content of the Sunken Scrolls should help immensely.

    Original Character Background:

I have a few short stories (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6) that delve properly into her backstory, but I'll summarize the important stuff.

For a customizable/silent protagonist character, I justify my portrayal of Thida on the bits of Inkling culture given to us in the game. Inklings are portrayed as fun-loving, pleasure seeking hedonists, and while Thida isn't quite like that, the few things she does enjoy (catfish, mushroom soups, acoustic music) she indulges in whenever she can. They are also crazy about Turf War ink battles, which Thida plays in quite a lot - points earned by the end of the match are tallied and given back to the Inklings as money, and money can also be earned for win streaks, which she takes advantage of to support herself in lieu of getting a job, which she wouldn't be able to do at 14. Voice clips for player characters are also fairly short, even when not relating to blocking dialogue, which is why Thida speaks bluntly and sparsely, shortening words where she can.

Her background more evolved from my own creativity and I'll give y'all a short rundown of it: born to two loving parents living in a small hut in the mountains, Thida lived happily and quietly, receiving enough homeschooling to keep up with her better educated peers and enjoying the simple things in life, like good food, good music, and exploring nature. The autumn before her 14th birthday, her parents mysteriously disappeared - first her mother, never returning from her summer job at Camp Triggerfish, and then her father when he set out to look for her - and by the time her birthday in spring comes they are all but confirmed dead to Thida's tiny mountain community. Taking with her all the money her parents had left behind and a few mementos (one of which being her mother's old pilot goggles) she sets out to Inkopolis on her own in order to get away from the overhanging gloom filling in for her parents. As if by fate of coincidence, this is when the Great Zapfish, Inkopolis' primary power supply, is stolen, and she encounters the elderly Cap'n Cuttlefish, who recruits her on the spot as "Agent Three" in order to retrieve it from who he believes stole it - the opposing race of evolved cephalopods, the Octarians. Through her duties as an agent and through earning money playing in the Turf Wars, she quickly learns the ins and outs of fighting with ink, a decent shot with an ink gun but preferring a large inkbrush in matches. This also makes her a bit of a loner, always busy and focused on fighting to stay afloat financially and literally. Eventually, she DOES save the Great Zapfish, and just in time for the city's first Splatfest, in which the team she chose to fight for in battles won due to sheer popularity.

Many, many people make gragarious, city-native Inklings as OCs, and I wanted to do something different, so I developed a childhood for her in the mountains, which can be seen in some of the more outdoorsy battle stages. I gave her poor, hardworking parents and the mysterious circumstances from which they died in order to give her the backbone to work hard for a living (aka rack up mad amounts of points in matches), and to send her to Inkopolis with no strings attached, much like how player characters first start up the game with starter gear and stand in the middle of a bustling, unfamiliar plaza - seeing the first Squid Sisters broadcast indicating the Great Zapfish's disappearance and how it hints to a single player campaign. She's a loner due to the lack of proper player communication in Splatoon, i.e. no voicechat. I gave her heirloom goggles even though they do nothing (and have terrible buffs for the Inkbrush) because it looks cool, and all the cool protagonists wear useless goggles - but I digress.

Something that will definitely come up for her is the difficulty of being around other species. In Inkling society, it's known that humans are extinct and had a relatively alien physiology to Inklings. Having bones, hair, and an ability not to dissociate in water is going to be distressing for her until she figures out how to cope. In a similar vein, she's also used to fighting for her life against octopus-based creatures. I can only think of one Pokemon directly based off of an octopus, but I will definitely have her encounter one and be adamant in distrusting them. This can change if it's hers given enough time, though.

    Personality:

Thida is a simple soul at heart. She loves catfish and mushroom soup, the smell of pine needles, and the strum of a guitar - definitely an outdoorsy type. It's not unusual for her to climb trees or into high places to find vantage points that let her observe things, preferring to watch rather than participate - unless it's something very active. She's used to running around, being alert, and staying on the move. Having grown up with her parents as her primary source of socializing, Thida doesn't have much experience being around other people - she's not shy so much as honest, to the point, and incredibly blunt. Why elaborate and waste time when there's so much to do?

Through her experiences in Inkopolis, a more hardworking aspect of herself shines through. Supporting herself through winnings from Turf Wars using a weapon not known for generating high scores, the concept of a hard day's work does not escape her, even if she's doing it through a highly popular sport. It's also evident that she is not very inclined to follow or even fully understand things that are trendy, or as the Inklings say, "fresh"; she tends to stick with various pieces of gear for their abilities, not how they look, save for the goggles given to her by her mother - those are solely a meaningful memento. She's also widened her taste in music thanks to the city's thriving scene, and absolutely adores the Squid Sisters the most, first for their tunes and then even moreso for their roles as Agents 1 and 2 in Cap'n Cuttlefish's efforts against the Octarians.

Through her experiences as Agent 3, Thida's learned how to battle various enemies no matter their size or hardware, and come out the other side alive and victorious - she simply will not give up or relent against an opponent, being bold in attack and clever in stealth. She's still very wary of Octarians due to the sheer horror of having to battle wave after wave in increasingly more perilous environments. She makes a point not to harm anyone on an "enemy" side (whether in Turf Wars or in missions) who does not mean her any harm, however, showing that she has a softness and kindness in her heart that, due to her speech and attitude, might not be apparent. She is also, notably, modest; once the Great Zapfish is rescued, she certainly could have made it known to the world that she was the one who saved it, but doesn't reveal it to anyone, simply because she doesn't want to. There's no need to do that, she's got a whole relatively normal life ahead of her.

Humanity is frightening. It's all-encompassing in this place, and in more ways than one; Thida can barely bring herself to run her fingers through the twin-tailed hair that now hangs where her tentacles should be, and she can feel her bones if she presses on her skin, like barriers holding her form in place. A lot of times she needs to stop on the road and hold the squid the elderly human gave her, pressing her cheek against its smooth pink "hat". The squid - an Inkay, the humans call it, but she's called it Maika - doesn't seem to mind, letting Thida play idly with the ends of its tentacles and staying quiet, allowing her to think.

Still, her time alone with Maika is the only time Thida lets herself be afraid. When she finds herself in towns and cities, Maika is still out - Maika is always out - but she stays alert and calm, at least outwardly. It's how she finds herself looking at a poster in a Pokemon Center, reading about the Pokemon League.

"Beat leaders...get badges..." She mumbles to herself, and glances at Maika in her arms. "But you fight? Not me?"

The Inkay nods. Thida's nose wrinkles.

"But 'm a squid, too." She'd always fought at home. Fought for her people, fought to keep a roof over her head...why, in this world, did she have to make Maika fight?

"Iiink," Maika says, shrugging as best as one can without arms or shoulders. So the Pokemon didn't really get it either? That made two of them, which was oddly reassuring. Thida didn't mind being so confused if she wasn't the only one.

"...We can try?" Thida asks. When Maika looks up at her with a smile, she finds herself smiling, too. Maybe humanity wasn't so scary after all.

    Character
    Name: GOB (George Oscar Bluth)
    Series: Arrested Development
    Timeline: A New Attitude
Canon Resource Links: and now the story of...

    Personality:
You know that gif of Homer Simpson pouring milk onto some cereal whereupon it immediately catches fire? Yeah, that’s basically GOB personified. There isn’t a dove alive that’s made it through one of his acts in one piece, and while he’s capable of making a yacht disappear, that’s only if you count sinking it as a solution. GOB is chronically incapable of thinking anything through all the way to the end, which is a problem when the end chronically comes back to leave you, say, stabbed in a prison yard. He’s better at escalating a minor inconvenience into a full scale shitstorm than he is at magic, if his inability to get the pick a card any card bit to work is any judge. Have trouble nailing two pieces of wood together? Only solution is to start a strike with the rest of the workers. Brother might be cheating with the girlfriend you barely acknowledge? Fistfight in front of a courthouse. Find out you have a kid? Ditch him in Reno. Need to one up your magician rival? Make him fall in love with you so you can break his heart by dumping him. Except that dumping part hasn’t happened yet, but details.

He’s the kind of guy you can’t trust to come through in the clutch, and why you’d ask him to drive in the first place is an even bigger mystery. He’s prone to demanding responsibility and then immediately abandoning the task once it proves more difficult than anticipated. He goes from insisting that he’s going to take over the company to panicking at the thought and passing the buck in the space of about a minute. Tasked with delivering a letter, he’ll instead hurl it into the sea as an act of defiance. Of course, he’s so prone to being pompous and dramatic that he’ll refuse to admit responsibility in the first place. He insists on referring to his tricks as Illusions to make them sound more impressive, enters and exits scenes without getting off of his segway, and once got married in a series of escalating dares. Saying he can’t do something means that he’ll spend the next thirty minutes attempting to do that something, only with blackjack and hookers.

Saying all of this brashness stems from insecurity might be cliche, but it also happens to be 100% accurate. GOB bleeds his feelings on just about any surface he can get his hands on. People, too, though there’s usually less blood involved that way and more sobbing and clinging. This goes double if Michael says something even vaguely nice to him, or if someone ends up in the hospital, or if… honestly, it just goes on like this. He’s pretty easily wounded, best shown by the first fist-fight in the courthouse, which GOB instigates after his parents don’t care that he showed up. Or the time he demands becoming president of the company because, again, his parents didn’t want him to be there at the front of the episode. He’s so desperate for approval that he is completely unable to stop himself from blathering magic secrets whenever asked, which is kind of a problem when you founded a guild that looks down on that sort of thing. He routinely caves whenever his dad gives him half an inch, too. He’s emotionally stunted in just about every way that counts, unable to name any feelings aside from jealousy, and boy, does he love to stew on that one. An astonishing variety his terrible ideas are rooted in being jealous of one family member or another, usually Michael because he’s the Favorite. Oh, yeah, we’re not above sleeping with girls Michael’s interested in just to stick it to him, not in this bar.

If you think about it too long, all this might stop being funny and start hurting instead. The fact that he’s taken to roofying himself and almost never appears on screen without a drink in hand means it isn’t a particularly difficult train of thought to follow, either. In a remarkable feat of irony, GOB’s the only member of the family who wants to be here and in return, not a single one of them wants him there. When he’s not too busy building a permanent address in denial, GOB knows it, too. He’s (almost surprisingly) very astute when it comes to knowing his family and what each individual member is capable of. For example, he figures out Lucille got Michael into a car accident solely from listening to the account third-hand on the phone, or that Marta’s into some guy named Hermano (which turns out to mean brother in Spanish, which turns out to be Michael, which turns out to be accurate), or that George Michael asking to score some pot is kind of weird coming from him (which makes sense considering the request’s coming from Buster).

So, what is GOB actually good at, and does literally and figuratively setting things on fire count, that is the question. Like any Bluth, GOB relies on a wide swath of lies to get through the day. He pulls a Ha Ha I’m Totally Not Upset Right Now on an almost daily basis, not to mention the complete inability to own up to a relationship in public for more than ten seconds. He can be charming in small doses, making his ideas sound great even if he’ll inevitably botch the execution. If he ever stopped running from his responsibilities, hell, chances are he could make a pretty good go of this. Up until he accidentally hit on his mom, he even managed to work at a real job for several days and took home tips for it.

    Victory Road Sample:

Upon abandoning the mother figure who lacked enough alcohol to make a convincing replica, GOB strode out of the house and took a look around. He saw quite a few more brightly colored animals than he’d anticipated. How high was he, exactly? This was a very good question but, alas, did little to help his current predicament. He fished his cell phone out of his pocket, which took two tries. For some odd reason, it wasn’t getting any reception, and as it didn’t seem connected to any hastily assembled construction projects, GOB had absolutely no idea why. He started rummaging through the backpack he could’ve sworn hadn’t been there before, which mostly resembled flipping all the contents onto the ground in a complete huff. He flopped down onto the ground next to them, and since when have his hands started shaking? Right, let’s stop that now.

Unfortunately, his hands seemed uncooperative. “I wonder where I am!” He started laughing, tearing up from the force, because he could appreciate a good joke and “Behind the tree, right--?” There was a distinct lack of glitter, however, and after spending a few hours juggling the contents of the backpack, GOB began to think that, maybe, perhaps, he was on his own here.

Well, except for the weird purple balloon that’d been floating around since he walked outside, anyway. He wasn’t sure if that counted, or if it was even alive. He felt like it kept staring at him, though, so GOB went up to it and poked it right in the yellow bandaid. The balloon failed to pop as he’d anticipated, however, and instead glared at him-- “Okay, you know what, let’s settle this right now-- Can you, uh, can you see me in there? One blink no, two blinks yes…?” The weird balloon blinked in affirmation, which was not as reassuring as GOB anticipated. “So--- you’re not gonna tell anyone I poked you, right?” Of course, very few people talked about GOB poking them before, so he wasn’t sure why anyone would start now. Still, it was better safe than sorry, especially since he was out of Forget-Me-Nows, so he was more than a little relieved when the balloon shook its… head, it was a head with a balloon, right?

The problem solved, GOB attempted to walk away from the scene of the crime, only the balloon seemed to be… following him. “Uh. So, I’m gonna go over here, and you can just stay over there, and maybe in a couple days or weeks, I’ll pretend we’ve never met and we’ll all be even, alright?” This failed to have the intended result, however, as the balloon floated around in the shape of a question mark.

GOB looked at the long and presumably monster-filled dirt road up ahead and then back at the purple… thing. He heard music coming from hell if he knew where, but as it didn’t seem to be The Sound of Silence, he wondered if it meant that this wasn’t…

“I… guess you could come with me if you want. You know, just in case someone finds a pin and then you’re totally screwed.” The balloon bounced a little, a difficult feat while suspended about five feet in the air. “Come on, Hermano, let’s beat it before some weird owl starts hooting at us.” He wasn’t sure where the name came from, but the balloon seemed to puff up, and so GOB felt… he wasn’t sure, but whatever it was, it was almost the opposite of hungry. Like… he’d had enough of something. Which was weird, so he proceeded to do his best to ignore it.

About a half hour later, GOB realized he’d left an enormous pile of camping equipment lying around and they doubled back to the town.

    Timeline: End of S1
    Canon Resource Links:
    WIKI PAGE
    CHARACTER PAGE

    Personality:
As the last female Altean alive, Allura doesn't simply hold the title of being the Princess of Altea, but she also must bear the weight of her people's legacy on her brow, a fate far more heavier than her crown once entailed. To her, even though the complete and utter annihilation of her planet and race had happened over 10,000 years ago, after being induced to a cryogenic sleep by her father in order to save her, the loss of Altea is still fresh in her mind and thus, affects much of Allura's character. As such, Allura presents herself oftentimes with a maturity far beyond her years. Having been trained at a young age, both in diplomacy and in military training, Allura is a skilled diplomat and tactician, taking her role as the remaining royal of Altea very seriously, and proving to be a very sufficient, worthwhile leader in the wake of her father's death. She is unafraid of facing dangerous situations, and plays an active role in the team despite not being a paladin of Voltron. She is the one who pushes her paladins to train, to an extent that others may find harsh, but she also does realize she must ensure unique training tactics to encourage teamwork (for example, initiating a food fight with the intention of showing that the paladins can work together as a team against a "common enemy").

She is not the sort of person who will sit back and allow others to do work for her, but will instead insist on taking charge in dangerous missions herself, even when her safety would otherwise be compromised. This isn't to say she has a death wish, but that she is someone who will act on her responsibility even if others worry for her safety on her behalf. For example, she does not hesitate to land on a large animal-planet known as a 'Balmera' to help escort its natives to safety -- even if that means diving headfirst in the midst of a firefight. She is unafraid of sacrificing herself for the greater good and for those she cares about, as evidenced at the end of episode 10 where, under duress and knowing that there was no way for both her and Shiro to escape, she sacrifices herself to ensure her friend's safety. And again, on the Balmera, she pushes her abilities to their very limit in order to revive the dying creature, despite knowing that it will leave her in an extremely weakened state. She is a young woman able to make tough decisions, even if they are emotionally taxing, she demonstrates the ability to steel herself and go through with it, if it means success for the mission at large.

However, Allura is not entirely straitlaced or even as levelheaded as she attempts to put on. For starters, while it may seem that she takes herself and her role as the Princess of Altea seriously, Allura is still a young woman, and her personality still reflects the levity that comes with youth despite seemingly losing everything. She knows how to have a good time, and she is a personable individual that, while she is the leader of the team, she is also capable of being her teammates friends as well. She is kindhearted and warm in personality, and, provided that a person is not working for the enemy, she often does give strangers the benefit of the doubt and would be the first to try to approach a potentially hostile situation in a diplomatic and kind way. She trusted a shady individual, Rolo, and the rest of his small crew, with offering her and her paladins' assistance to fix their broken ship, and she also acted graciously to the Arusians, the natives of the planet her Castle was built on, by inviting them to the Castle for a celebration despite knowing that opening her doors to outsiders may bring about intruders. As evidenced above, she is hardly a pushover, but will not be the sort of person to intentionally antagonize anyone either.

Allura also can be a bit brash in personality as well. As Princess, she is unafraid to speak her mind, and can sometimes even come across a little blunt (upon waking up after 10,000 years of cryogenic sleep, she still has it in her to comment on how 'ugly' Lance's ears are). Just as she is someone who is able to make tough decisions, she is also someone who will tell it like it is. Allura also sometimes reacts poorly in tense situations that catch her off-guard, and although she presents herself as the leader, and as someone who can hold it all together and who knows what she's doing, the reality is...she doesn't know everything, and it frightens her. She is someone who tries to remain strong so that when others look to her, they see a paragon of strength in a time of strife, and it is a personal sacrifice of her own emotional stake that she implements on herself. However, by being rather guarded in her emotions, it can oftentimes backfire. She misses her father dearly, to the point where she was easily manipulated by her father's corrupted AI, even if she found the strength and responsibility in her to destroy the last of her father's memories for the sake of others' safety. She is also bent on having her revenge against Zarkon, a desire that can leave her unthinking at times, for when she later confronts him she doesn't hesitate to rush at him in a rather violent burst of anger despite knowing very well it would be a fruitless endeavor.

In short, Allura tries to epitomize what is expected of her as not only being the last of her species, but as the leader of the group of people who will, hopefully, save the galaxy. She is diplomatic, tactical, and serious, but also kind and youthful. Sometimes, her emotions get the best of her even when she tries to steel them away, and in truth...she's still hurting from the loss of her entire way of life, but it trying to keep up hope that she will succeed in freeing the galaxy from Zarkon's Galra Empire.

[Allura is pretty much having the time of her life with all the beautiful flowers falling from the sky. They catch in her long white hair, nesting in it as though they simply belong there, and she's gathering a bouquet for herself, eventually handing it off to the Cubone that's sitting comfortably at her shoulder, who sadly cradles the collected flowers in his arms, sniffling but not because of the pollen.

The falling flowers certainly don't smell or look like the flowers back home on her planet, but they're pleasant enough, and far more preferable to other things that could be falling from the sky.

Like boiling hot rocks, for example...

She's taken some downtime from her travels to simply sit and enjoy the moment, unstrapping her pack and setting it down on the ground, she takes the Cubone off her shoulder and sets him down before setting herself down on the field she finds herself in, the music constantly playing in the background no longer being much of a bother, or at least something she still takes notice of. It had bee...difficult to get used to.

But, despite everything, Allura finds herself feeling oddly content, relaxed in a way she hasn't felt in awhile, but before she can get into the mode of relaxation, a low, vibrating, familiar wail begins and she focuses her attention on the Cubone sitting in front of her, crying about...well, she knows the cries of loss when she hears it, but doesn't quite know how to comfort the poor thing.

So she reaches forward, bringing the Cubone to sit on her lap and offering him another new flower to add to his growing collection.

    Personality:

When someone says the word "justice" there's nothing Terezi Pyrope would like more than to hear her own name in response. She's all about justice and upholding laws. Every since she was 6, Terezi would perform mock trials with her stuffed animals, investigating and prosecuting the wicked. This shows that she has a huge imagination, able to think up in-depth scenarios and play them out with a dramatic flare. In fact, Terezi is very dramatic in most aspects of her life. She flips a coin to determine the out come of a situation, even when she's already decided what she'll ultimately do. She's described doing this for no other reason than 'it looks badass'. Whether this is truly badass or not is debatable as the narration calls her 'kind of weird' just a few pages later when Terezi starts licking chalk off the wall. This gross behaviour is truer to her real character and Terezi doesn't seem to mind being pegged as a weirdo. She whole heartedly embraces it. It's because it's fun and what's more important than that?

Terezi enjoys having fun and most of her actions are based around this. She was a hardcore LARPer (or 'FLARPing') until things turned sour for her team. Terezi is the type of person that will do something to annoy someone just because it is fun. She pretends her scalemates are alive (even when she doesn't actually believe this) just because it does annoy people. She claims she facetiously text role-plays with Nepeta, but later in canon it appears that she actually genuinely enjoys these RPs, showing she is nerdy and not as cool as she would like to appear. She laughs manically at people's failures and whatever else she finds funny. She herself recognizes this as a signature trait of hers. Due to her antagonizing ways, John has described her as a "depraved lunatic", something she didn't argue. One of her most prominent traits is how she takes people for a spin.

She happens to be a very manipulative troll. Sollux mentions she good at tricking people and she does just that to John which results in his demise in one timeline. Another example is when Vriska had gone too far by killing one of their friends, Terezi sought justice in a roundabout way, by telling Doc Scratch that Vriska had something of value to him, which caused him to maim the other troll girl, thus giving Terezi her desired outcome. Terezi is clever and takes pride in this. She can be borderline sociopathic and cruel. She doesn't mind people who have earned their fate to swing from the gallows. Despite all this clever and calculated mind Terezi can and does have lapses in judgement upon occasion. When she discovers a handful of her friends murdered she investigates and comes to some perplexing conclusion that turn out to be wrong. Looking back on her actions, Terezi notes that her deducing in this situation was a huge mistake that helped to create a doomed timeline. This shows she can and has made errors and is not perfect.

In fact, Terezi isn't as confident as she would have someone believe. She is just as vulnerable as anyone else. She gets into an abusive relationship with Gamzee, where he mocks her blindness which ultimately leads her to having her eyes healed, something that she immediately regrets. Terezi loves being blind and having that taken away from her is a huge hit to her self esteem. Although early in the comic she uses her Seer of Mind abilities to predict the outcome of killing Vriska successfully, after being healed she is down on herself and claims that she is no good at her abilities and can not help. Another instance of feeling inferior is when Terezi claims she has a hole in herself and needs Vriska more than the other troll needs her. She thinks Vriska sees her as being 'tragic' because of this.

Vriska is general is a tricky subject for Terezi. They were teammates and friends, although their relationship bordered on rivals for most of their lives, barbing each other and tossing around banter. When it came to killing Vriska in the end, Terezi came to heavily regret it. In another timeline the two girls became moirails (a type of platonic dating) which shows that no matter how aggressive they act towards one another, they have a close bond. Killing Vriska was most likely the thing Terezi regrets most heavily.

While usually sassy and flirty in her interactions with people, when at her limit, Terezi is at her limit. When she is dying she admits that her aggressive rant at John and Roxy is out of character. She says that they would be useless without her, and while most likely venting, Terezi in the past has been helpful to others in her own unique way. She decides that she wants to help Dave and guides him through his game's session with varying degrees of success.

It should be noted that Terezi was the only troll to successfully "troll" the kids, getting a reaction out of both John and Dave. Afterwards she said she felt awful after she managed to get them both killed at least once. She is seen fleeing while crying after Dave's death. This shows once she has a genuine bond with someone, Terezi is caring and attached. She is genuine and cares about the state of happiness of the people around her, although she states she can't admit this to anyone's face. It's this dedication to her friends that really lets Terezi shine.

Reasoning: In canon Terezi's parental guardian is a dragon. As a result she is nuts over anything dragon related, going as far as dressing and rping as one. Terezi plays rough with her toys and in order to get accustomed to the idea of having furry little friends that she has to nurture and care for, it would help her immensely to get in that mind set by being excited over her beginner Pokemon. Once she figures out Gible is a Dragon type she'll become very attached to him, insisting that he 1S S1MPLY TH3 B3ST >:]

[ The video camera swings around to a girl that has an explosion of freckles and flaming ginger hair. She has a pinched looking face, but it's hardly noticeable with the way she's smiling. Her grin looks like her mouth contains too many teeth. It's a little unnerving. She seems genuinely cheerful, however, until she speaks. ]

This is pretty awful! As far as doomed deaths go this is the lamest. Although I guess it comes with some perks. For instances I have acquired a friend. And not just any friend. A friend that is precisely 80% mouth.

I give you, Emperor Sesame Gobslob.

[ She whips her camera around to the Gible that's sitting on the grass. His mouth is indeed huge, and opened with his tongue hanging out. For those who know Terezi, the gesture is a familiar one often worn by Terezi herself. It looks like the anecdote about owners looking like their pets is true. ]

He is perfect. He puts just about anything in his mouth.

[ Terezi and Emperor Sesame Gobslob have that in common. ]

As I have a perfect "Pokemon" I don't see the reason why I need to "catch" more. That is nonsensical when I can train Emperor Sesame to be the best.

Although, if there are more dragon "Pokemon" I might reconsider!

[ She says this with a bit of hope creeping into her voice. Obviously a moment of missing out on dragons is nothing less of a tragedy in Terezi's eyes. ]

    Name:Gilgamesh
    Series:Fate/Kaleid Prisma Ilya
Timeline: After the reclaimation of his other half, at the end of season 4 (called 3rei. that's not confusing)
Canon Resource Links: http://typemoon.wikia.com/wiki/Gilgamesh_(Fate/kaleid) Some of the language used on the Type-moon wiki is a bit of garbled translation, ask for any needed clarifications!

    Personality:

Gilgamesh is possibly the king of excessive, obnoxious, fickle behavior. Full of himself, loud, high off of his own galactic sized ego, and ludicrous enough to wear a leopard-print suit or solid gold armor, it's very difficult to compete with him in terms of being completely absurd. He is the biggest asshole, the biggest personality, the life of all parties because he said so, damnit. He was so hendonistic at one point that the gods sent down a rampaging angry bull to teach him a lesson, and his reputation drew his would-be friend Enkidu from the woods. He wasn't always like that, though.

Young Gilgamesh is considered incompatible with his adult incarnation, to the point that they're considered seperate Servants, and if a young Gil knew what he'd grow up into he'd either kill himself or stop his aging. Before being plagued by visions of the future of humanity, Gilgamesh was a lovely, charming, nice young man who respected the gods and ruled justly and fairly.

The version in the Prisma Ilya timeline is an exception to the rule, being more akin to an adult Gil's 'positive' aspects (or at least, the traits that aren't universally deplorable, like his casual chauvanism) isolated and given shape. Coy but not lewd, sassy but not downright mean, high-and-mighty but not blindingly arrogant. Even more of a cat than his older self, Gil is prone to ridiculous siestas and indulgances, but not quite on the level of hedonism. This abberation is because he was rather literally shoved out of a corrupted version of his true self, seperating him into his most negative traits and...the rest.

A young, 'evil-less' (for lack of a better word) Gil is much more cooperative with others, but only so far as their goals align with his. He is willing to work with the protagonists in his timeline against the antagonist Ainsworths, but only so far as it gets him his class card containing the rest of his power. Once he has it, he ditches everybody to watch on the sides because the struggles of mortals amuse the hell out of him. However, he doesn't immediately empower himself with his other half, either because he can't yet or won't. Maybe he doesn't want to be a huge asshole just yet, or maybe he finds things more interesting as he is.

Stripped of his offensive power, Gil is extraordinarily resourceful with what he does have. While he normally disposes of foes and obstacles with overwhelming force (read: infinite swords raining from the sky), without such he relies on guile and maximum applications of what's available: he makes great use of Hades' Cap of Invisibility, and his favorite treasure Enkidu, a seemingly endless chain that bound the Bull of Heaven. He also makes more visible use of the more...esoteric treasures in his arsenal, like a noble phantasm bed and hot spring.

Without his extreme fickleness and gross impatience, Gil is much more willing to just go with whatever situation he is in. Being deprived of half of his treasure would normally enrage Gilgamesh so badly nobody would be able to shut him up or console his butthurt sufficiently, but Child Gil is more "Well, them's the breaks." He doesn't even show any irritaiton at his greatest Noble Phantasm being bested by a 10 year old girl, while his adult incarnation in /Stay Night is livid whenever anyone has the gall to sandbag it via any means.

While he's devoid of his worst traits, Gil is still more aloof than is necessary and can be downright lazy: once he didn't want to go stage a rescue operation because it was raining.

    Pokémon Information
Affiliation: Gil will be a Trainer, if only because it offers a tangible goal to pass the time with. If given half the chance and resources he would buy/build a small kingdom that would be a Pokemon ranch for all he catches/convinces to go there, as all treasures and beasts are his anyway. Also, he does enjoy a good fight, even if he doesn't participate himself. As someone who is more or less a cat anyway, Gil is likely to form solid bonds of owner/pet with his Pokemon, although outright friendship is complicated.
    Starter:

Thematically, Gil would have an Eevee. Their adorable starting form and potential for great change and flexiblity fit him too well, as Gil's child form is adorable to the point of having a supernatural skill. Eevee's various evolutions fit with Gil's massive personality shift becoming an adult, as well as the near infintie versatility of his treasury arsenal. Flaming swords, lightning-spears, invisibility cloaks, literal jets, Gil's options are like Eevees. He would find the parallel rather amusing.

    Victory Road Sample:

Aaah, sweet sweet victory. Gil had decided to celebrate his win and recovery of his better half with a well deserved siesta in the best bed with the best wine looking over the sunset, because really, he deserved this. His dreams were perfect.

The bed he woke up in was not perfect, and frankly wasn't worthy of feeling his bare skin. Which it didn't, since he was in pajamas, which thankfully were his. Leopard print, because he had to spoil himself sometimes. That didn't concern him. What sent him into a panic was the fact that everything was missing. Not in the room, no, material trivialities weren't the problem. Where the hell was his treasury!? He couldn't feel it, any of it! This was so much worse than not having his arsenal.

No bed, no wine, no hotspring, no phone, no money (NO MONEY!?!?!?), not a damned thing. Here he was, reduced to nothing more than a commoner. He realized he was pressing his hand so hard to his forehead he was leaving a mark. Gil finally took notice of the...cat? No, it was a bit more like a dog, but with ears like a fennec fox or something. Whatever it was, it was brown and fluffy and cute. And it was looking at him with legitimate concern and intelligence. It chirped a little noise at him, animal but oddly....syllabic.

"Ee?" It tilted its head and flattened its ears back a little. Gil was distracted from his sulking, despite his best efforts.
"And what might you be? Certainly no animal I'm aware of..." He couldn't be certain it wasn't the product of some reality bending Noble Phantasm that had locked his abilities and was there purely to torment him, but he didn't think anyone would put so much thought into making something so cute just to murder him. That was too much work, even for a psychopath.

"Vee! Ve!" went the creature. He held a hand out, open palm up as a gracious king would. The thing walked on rather short legs to sniff, before pressing its face into his palm and making what almost sounded like a giggle, but couldn't have been. It really was a cute little cat-fox-dog, wasn't it? It was familiar in the absolute vaguest way, though, like recognizing something you encountered once but wrote off as unimportant.

It was about then that Gil realized he'd been completely distracted from his perfectly valid hissy fit at being locked out of his entire treasury like some peasant who failed a credit check. He did still have to figure out what exactly was going on, didn't he? Well, if he wasn't already dead, and he was locked out of his tricks, someone had set up a very elaborate game indeed. He swung out of the bed, taking care not to throw off or hurt the little brown critter, figuring that he might as well play along. What else did he have to do? He didn't have enough information to plot an escape, so why not enjoy the modern world a little more?

    Character
    Name: Naminé
    Series: Kingdom Hearts
Timeline: Just before rescuing Kairi in The World That Never Was.
    Canon Resource Links: Here.

Personality: As a very special Nobody (a being without a heart, but who retains the memories of their former life), Naminé has the ability, along with her ability to manipulate the memories of the Keybearer Sora and those close to him, to feel genuine emotion, making her different from other Nobodies: With no memories, she has no basis for acting. Along with truly being able to feel, her emotions can be fairly intense. These emotions, and the desire for friends and her intense loneliness alongside her tendency to simply follow orders, are what lead to her manipulating Sora's memories. Because her longing for a connection is so intense, it makes her a bit single-minded, and therefore easily manipulated. At this moment, Naminé is only concerned with meeting someone and being able to form a bond, even if it is fake. Therefore, a big effect is kept from her: She is actually hurting Sora, and she is essentially turning him into a blank slate for the Organization to use, instead of just making it possible to have a friend.

Naminé, then, feels guilt for most of Chain of Memories, her debut game. After she realizes the gravity of her changing Sora's memories, she is confused and regretful. Despite knowing the truth, she continues. Partly, this is out of a deep fear of Marluxia and Larxene, two Nobodies who are members of Organization XIII and who are tasked with watching over her. Her quiet and timidity result in her not being able to stand up to her captors--she knows what they can do to her, and so she continues. This is the core of Naminé's personality. She's a quiet, unsure, loyal girl. And that's truly what she is: a girl who is so overcome by loneliness that she latches onto kindness and tends to follow whoever leads her. Naminé is more self-conscious than anything, despite her eventually escaping and standing up to those who hurt her. Sora's kindness takes her off-guard, and his reassurance that he forgives her and cares about her makes her feel a mixture of disbelief, sadness, and happiness; disbelief, because she is convinced she isn't worth kindness or compassion; sadness, because she knows what she has done is wrong and she'll lose a semblance of a bond; and happiness, because he has forgiven her instead of hating her.

As well as her timidity, soft-spokenness, and sweetness, Naminé exhibits a fair amount of selflessness. While she acts out of partial selfishness--manipulating Sora's memories due to a desire for a connection that wasn't with her captors and a wanting for friends--she in the end restores his memories. Naminé isn't a fool; she knows Sora needs his memories back. Naminé is a smart girl: She knows how things work in the castle and what will happen to her if she disobeys. Her expectations are never higher than what she believes is sensible, even though she hopes she'll be proven wrong--like when she asks Sora what he wants to do. Naminé also shows a strong sense of perception, though part of this might be knowledge from what she's seen in Sora's memories. When she meets Riku, she hopes her expectations will come true--and they do.

As much as it hurts, she sets her hurting aside to fix what she broke. However, this isn't without sadness: She tells Sora, quietly and with upset underlying her words, "Okay, I understand! Who needs false memories, right? Especially when you have real memories of people who are really important to you. Anyone would say the same." Again, here, she knows what to expect, but there is a little part of her that hopes he'll defy her expectations. She also knows that, should Sora choose remembering her, things won't get any better. Her unhappiness and sadness are worth Sora's happiness and the good of pretty much everyone. And so Naminé believes she has very little to no self-worth: She's expendable, forgettable, and her being forgotten would be a good thing, nothing to worry over--likely a result of being put down by Larxene. Thus, her sadness is heightened by a severe sense of inferiority. It is without hesitation that she gets to work on Sora's memories. She has accepted that he will forget her, and it's a bittersweet thing: A little bitter for her, a lot of sweet for Sora.

Naminé, though, does learn to stand up to those who hurt her: Near the end of Chain of Memories, she actually steps in front of Sora to defend him from Larxene. As toxic as Larxene is, Naminé has her moments of rebellion: A (though short-lived) glare, a silent declaration that she won't let Larxene hurt Sora when she stretches her arms out in front of the boy she has hurt through her memory manipulation. This sense of defiance is more seen in Kingdom Hearts II, such as when she disobeys DiZ--her "guardian," for lack of a better word--to meet Roxas, a boy with a deep connection to Sora. Defying DiZ's orders, she throws herself into dark portals more than once in order to help Roxas. Similarly, when Naminé sees a chance to do something, she'll take it, such as when Axel--yet another Nobody and member of the Organization--sets her free in Chain of Memories. There's a sense of survival there (if only for others who depend on her), then, not only for herself but those she's hurt. She knows the moment is fleeting, and that it will never come again. And so she goes, even knowing she may get hurt worse than she ever has before. Similarly, she takes whatever opportunities she can to meet Roxas--a short moment in the town itself, in one of the white rooms after his fight with Twilight Thorn. Despite knowing she'll get into trouble, Naminé does, no matter what the consequences. She takes the initiative more often then, in order to help someone who needs it desperately. A notable example is not from Naminé's canon point, but from the end of Kingdom Hearts II. She sneaks around the Organization's stronghold in order to help Kairi (the girl from whom Naminé was born, making Naminé Kairi's other half), even knowing in the end she'll fade away and complete Kairi. Kairi is more important, though; not only to Sora, but to Riku, too. To make her friends happy, then, Naminé will defy those with far more power than she, who have the ability to hurt her--thus making her fairly impulsive. It's more second nature, though; Naminé simply wants to help; again, without regard for her safety or well-being.

Naminé also knows fear very intimately. She nearly jumps out of her skin when Marluxia approaches or touches her. Similarly, near the end of Chain of Memories, he actually uses her as a shield. She's frozen, unable to move. Marluxia and Larxene use this fear to their advantage, manipulating her fear of never having a friend and fear directed toward them in order to convince Naminé to do their bidding. Her fear is also shown when she alters the Riku Replica's memories; she knows what she has done, but she's too afraid to change it back. The scope of what she has done--changing both Sora's and the replica's memories--mixes with her fear and creates a pretty strong mixture of emotions. Naminé withdraws even more, then, and hardly speaks until the end of the game. At the same time, Naminé learns to conquer her fear, and when Marluxia orders her to shatter Sora's heart, she refuses--angrily, defiantly.

Above all else, Naminé cherishes the kindness she receives. She cries when Sora tells her they'll make a note to thank her after she finishes fixing their memories. She's both surprised and relieved when Riku allows her to escape unharmed instead of destroying her like DiZ ordered. Because of this, Naminé's sense of loyalty is strong, but it always has been: Though not exactly the best sense of loyalty, she does initially mess with Sora's memories out of loyalty to her captors. However, Naminé, when she perceives she's made a friend, will do what she can for them, even if it means diving into darkness. She is the one who tells Roxas the truth, after all--though her bluntness during that conversation leads to both Roxas and Naminé's feeling discontent. Naminé is fairly transparent; her discontent during this scene is shown in her face and heard in her voice. Indeed, because she's been used the way she has and how she's been treated, Naminé values honesty. She never keeps the truth from anyone, especially if she can help it.

    Name: Rick Sanchez
    Series: Rick and Morty
    Timeline: Pre-S2E10, 'The Wedding Squanchers'
Canon Resource Links: here and here

    Personality:

Rick's entire personality is deliberately and consciously oppositional to just about everyone and everything. This is, at least partially, a persona to shield what's underneath the surface - Rick has seen things. Things he doesn't really want to discuss or feel. His genius intellect and adventures seem to be taking a toll on him, with Rick himself explaining that the best way to deal with horrible tragedies is simply to "not think about it".

Thus, we have a character who is able to intimidate others simply by...being there. Rick is an impulsive and unpredictable character, and a tendency to get angry and hold grudges doesn't exactly add to any charm in that regard. Rick's own family, Jerry and Beth in particular, is consistently shown throughout the series to be borderline-terrified of him and the effect he's having on Morty. Remarks  on him and his unstable personality are often thrown about by the two, and quite honestly, Rick does absolutely nothing that would go against their talk.

To put it bluntly, Rick could very easily be classified as a sociopath.  The man has no qualms about killing, nor does he care about how his actions would affect others. We're speaking of someone who shows little to no emotion about burying an alternate version of himself alongside his shell-shocked grandson. He's his own first priority, and lord help anyone that gets in the way of that. They'll be manipulated, talked down to - maybe even killed if it gets to that point.

Even beyond an antisocial personality, Rick will often go out of his way just to be an asshole. While Rick is at least capable of functioning, it's only barely so. He's barely able to do the most basic of tasks without acting antagonistic to those around him, and even so, that's not saying much. Most of his relationships in the show are extremely negative, and he couldn't care either way. His entire personality is the epitome of vulgar and crass, often letting out a large numbers of burps and hiccups mid-sentence.

It's largely due to his cynical and childish view of the world at large. Rick is the type to sell guns to child murderers so he can afford to play video games all day. Nothing about the modern world truly seems to be above his disdain, especially subjects of authority. Rick is quick to discuss his hatred of things like school and the government, almost to the point of obsession. At many times, Morty is shown to be much more mature than his grandfather.

Though sociopaths have a very limited amount of empathy regarding others, Rick does showcase the potential to develop positive relationships, but the circle of people-he-actually-likes is extremely small. Morty is one of the few positive relationships he has, and he has been shown to sacrifice himself for him on more than one occasion. He's almost scared to form positive relationships when the few people he actually connects with tend to leave.

Series: A Song of Ice and Fire
    Timeline: Post-Death
    Canon Resource Links: http://awoiaf.westeros.org/index.php/Robert_I_Baratheon

Personality: If one wanted to be positive about Robert Baratheon, one could say that is gregarious and robust. If one wanted to be truthful, one would say that he’s a fat ass that likes booze, whores, and fighting, and especially likes it when these things are combined in any fashion. He is a simple man who enjoys simple things, like hosting elaborate tourneys and eating entire boars.

He was an excellent soldier in his youth, when he led his armies to overthrown the Mad King; however, years of hard partying turned him soft, and the only one who didn’t notice this was Robert himself. Though he often made self-depreciating jokes at his own expense, he never fully grasped that he just wasn’t capable of what he used to able to do with ease anymore. He continued to try to compete in tourneys where he was clearly outmatched by younger, stronger opponents, and insisted on taking down marks by himself during hunts. This often led to him getting in over his head, and helped him along to his death.

Robert wasn’t a very good king; the best even his best friend could say about him was that he wasn’t very nearly as bad as the king who broiled people alive. He delegated nearly all the major decisions in actually running the kingdom to his council, and only truly got involved when said decisions involved spending massive amounts of money on tourneys and sending assassins after pregnant teenage girls. He left his land crippled by debt and on the brink of a terrible war, basically ruining everything for everyone.

The only reason Robert even remained king, instead of just fucking off to become a sellsword in a foreign land, was because of his deep distrust of the Lannisters, especially the ones he had married and (in his mind) begot. For such a friendly man, he is capable of some quite intense grudges and blood feuds, and the only group of people he hates more than Lannisters are the Targaryens: From the oldest spinster to the youngest babe, he blames each and every one of them for directly causing the death of his beloved Lyanna. Though he gave up on his hunt for the (supposedly) last Targaryen, Daenerys, on his deathbed, there is still a deep-set bitterness there.

    Character
    Name: Aligula
    Series: Blood Blockade Battlefront
    Timeline: Post-episode 12
Canon Resource Links: Canon itself, but since that doesn't really get into everything... have a history too:

Honestly, the pasts of most of the Thirteen Kings—the crime syndicate that Aligula belongs to, even if "crime syndicate" is actually a super loose phrase to describe them—are shrouded in mystery. Aligula is no exception; there's not much to go on for her aside from what she's told Leonardo Watch in episode 5.

Which is that once upon a time, she fell in love with a criminal named Deldro Brody; he was a real bad boy, always in trouble, and he loved her, too. Unfortunately, while she loved him... she didn't love his looks half as much. They just weren't doing it for her, you know? Definitely not turning her on at all! And then along came Dog Hummer (or Hammer, depending who you ask): a total hunk! A pretty boy ex-tra-or-di-naire. So what's a poor girl to do when the love of her life and the man of her dreams are two separate people?

She liquefies one of them, hollows out the other, and puts them together in one happy package! (Note: the links are just a dramatization fit for human consumption using ketchup and a lunch container.)

So yes, in episode 5 (where we first really get to see her), it's this man she's after when she picks up Leo (picks up being the key phrase here: he asks if she's holding him hostage to get what she wants, and she refutes him angrily; you get back your things with your own power, because there wouldn't be any point if you accepted help from others). She talks at length at how it's important in love to keep pushing, because those that push the hardest win, and... she gossips with Leo about his love life. Or really,he tells her about it, and she gets mad that he's got such a boring one.

Her plans fall through thanks to Libra, the secret organization Leo belongs to, as well as Deldro & Hummer's combined efforts to stop her. (Note: Deldro definitely adores her and would love to get back together with her! Hummer, not so much, but he's willing to make sacrifices if Deldro really wants to go. ...he gets called "odd" for that.)

Episode 9 has her return; she's hanging out at Coney Island with two of her fellow kings: Femt, the King of Depravity, and the one we'll never actually have a name-name for, the King of Despair. She sasses, she snarks, but the main thing of the episode is at the end, where she reveals she's got a pair of glasses the King of Despair'd needed for his plans. They're special ones that can control the All-Seeing Eyes of the Gods (or seem to, going by the last episodes), and she's been working on them for the King of Despair, apparently. Because friends who aren't friends but still hang out together because they're a posse do stuff for each other.

(Besides, she's interested in seeing how his plans work out.)

Her appearance in episode 12 is minor; she's at a Halloween party her fellow kings are throwing, while the King of Despair is out shuffling around and making a mess of Hellsalem's Lot City. She's disgusted by the zombies (she says they're freaking her out), but accepts their existence when Femt reminds her it's Halloween and they're practically a prerequisite; they're a distraction most of all, and since it's the Kings' show, they deserve some entertainment.

...and that's really pretty much it. She's a minor character among minor characters.

    Original Character Background: n/a

Personality: There are a lot of very unkind words for Aligula: obsessive, crazy, shallow. They're all pretty on point, too.

As her title of "Queen of Monomania" would suggest (with monomania meaning "exaggerated or obsessive enthusiasm for or preoccupation with one thing"), Aligula's very... dedicated, to put it nicely. During the series, her focus is mainly on getting her (ex?) boyfriend/sweetheart/best experiment ever back: the combined body of Deldro Brody & Dog Hummer. She tears the city apart for this, she's... really something else. It's not just about him being the perfect combination of a hot body and a liquefied criminal, oh no, not at all! If asked, actually, she'd say it was for love.

...which is her main, never-ending obsession. No one loves love like Aligula loves love; she's a fan of love stories, to the point where she uses them as small talk and gets more than a little pissed if you tease her with details about one but don't have a proper ending or plan of action for it. Despite her quick temper, she ends up being incredibly supportive about romance and things of that sort! Especially if you're serious about it; she doesn't have any time for shallow, petty stories.

Even though really, her own is pretty much that, because Aligula doesn't do feelings properly. She's very excitable, very much the "overly cheerful, go get what you want" one of her immediate group, but... She fell in love with a guy because he was a bad boy, and she fell in love with another one because he was hot, and then she decided that she didn't want to have to deal with the drama of choosing between them so she just put them together in one little Deldro & Hummer package. Like many of the other Kings, she lives for leisure and pleasure, and she just... doesn't do anything past that. She gets mad, yes, and she can sometimes be sincere when she says your love life's oh-so-sad... but she's incapable of feeling any remorse or thinking about how her actions might actually affect someone.

She's inconsiderate, shallow as hell, and pretty fucking predictable when it comes to how she's going to react about something, is what I'm getting at here.

That doesn't mean she's stupid, though; Aligula's shown to be quite clever! Not everyone can come face-to-face with the powerful and legendary All-Seeing Eyes of the God and be able to either make or get their hands on glasses that can essentially control them—the first one is implied to be what she's done, and given her track record with successfully turning one man into pure blood, hollowing out another, and putting them together while they're awake and aware with stunning results... I'm inclined to agree.

Furthermore, on her name/intro card that comes up in the anime, there's "genius" as one of the kanji—beneath it is "innocent," though. Straightforward and frank and not actually that judgmental (except over your life choices with your love life), Aligula's much like a child: she's objective on things not pertaining to her obsessions, though honestly, that's probably more because she's not half as interested in them. That doesn't mean she isn't going to listen and put in her own two cents though: she's peanut gallery personified when she's in a group situation, and she's the carefree friend you go to to forget your worries when it comes to one-on-one conversation.

She'll also be the friend that literally slaps some sense into you or kicks your ass about something. Aligula doesn't do many negative feelings, sincerely or otherwise, but then there's anger. It makes sense, too: if you can't get angry about something, can you say you truly care about it? (...Ignoring the fact that Aligula's never cared about anyone aside from herself a day in her life; she obviously doesn't care about what either Deldro or Hummer want or feel, after all.) And, like the righteous anger of a god scorned, she gets... rather violent at times, particularly if you're testing her patience or if you make her carry a conversation. It's not nice to make girls do that, after all, especially when it's about something as irrevocably important as love.

    Name: Madison 'Maddie' Rocca
    Series: Power Rangers Mystic Force
Timeline: One year after the Power Rangers Operation Overdrive episodes Once A Ranger parts 1 and 2, so Madison has only been a Rnager for two years.
    Canon Resource Links:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_Rangers_Mystic_Force

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Power_Rangers_Mystic_Force_characters#Madison_Rocca

Power Rangers is a series where nearly every year there's a villain or villainess of some type trying to take over or destroy the Earth. Mystic Force is the fourteenth season in the series, with this team focusing on magic and magic users. The main focus is towards the Red Ranger Nick, and his interactions with everyone else. It is stated that the other four core Rangers are established as friends. Madison and Xander were the ones who had to be pushed into joining the White Ranger Udonna (later we learn that she is Nick's mother as Nick never knew his real parents) while the future Yellow and Pink Rangers Chip and Vida joined without question.

If you require more info, I would be happy to supply it.

    Original Character Background: Not Applicable

Personality: At first glance, Madison Rocca is what she appears to be: a shy and quiet young woman with a passion for film making. However this is only a small part of her, as her sister Vida knows full well. She is very reliable and loyal, through and through. Just friendly enough to strangers, (if her attitude towards Nick is any indication) even if she should be a little more cautious towards her own safety. She's a lot more studious than her friends and is the last to pick or join in a fight. She is far from a coward however, and the thought of letting down her friends and sister does weigh on her at times as she does lement to the other Rangers that when push comes to shove she's far from the strongest or the most active.

She's very much a supportive Power Ranger, friend, and sister to her allies. Madison doesn't appear to have much socialization in the beginning as we only know about her sister Vida and two friends Chip Thorn and Xander Bly. In the one time she actually tries to be more outgoing, she tries to anwkwardly flirt with a guy and ends up saving him by getting in the way of an attack by a monster who promptly turns her to stone. (she gets better) She beocmes slightly more outgoing but that has more to do with the people she knows rather than an ongoing desire to socialize.

By series end she goes from barely associating with anyone outside her four friends, to there being hints she had romantic feelings for one of her fellow Rangers. Maddie is more social, as evidenced in an episode where their resident cat-genie friend Jenji ran away from the Rootcore base despite what would happen to him (he would die if kept from his lamp for too long...) she was able to reach his heart and convince him to return. This was a turning point in mid-series as cemented the idea that Maddie could be couragous without changing herself.

And at the end when Red Ranger Nick wanted to give up in the face of their enemy The Master's power, Madison stubbornly refused to let him do so as he was the one whop got all them this far. In short, why she may came up as a rtaher quiet woman she is also couragious without the recklessness of her sister Vida. Her relationship with Vida isn't very well pronounced on the series. They seem to be very close in age, and while Madison proclaims herself as 'the sister with the commen sense' it's hard to tell who is the older one. The more mature and levelheaded one is clearly Madison though.

    Victory Road Sample:

Ever since she had become part of the Power Rangers Mystic Force, Madison had more or less gotten used to strange occurances to herself and her friends. She had givne rather quickly when she realized that none of the others were here: not her sister, or Nick, or Clare or Udonna. However being in an unfamiliar place, given a strange 'Pokemon' and told very little how and why she was here. Despite being very uncomfortable with her new partner, a Water type frog called a Froakie she kept walking to the closest neighboring town and hopefully she would encounter someone who could explain things clearer than the ones in 'New Bark Town'. The female Froakie had to be placed in Madison's backpack as Madison was still freaked out by the big frog despite her willingness to keep said Froakie with her.

"Look I'm sorry, but you refused to go back in that ball, and this is the best I'm willing to do." Madison explained to the blue frog as they sat down on a large rock to take a break. "I can't help it that I do not like frogs very much, even if you're technically not a frog but what the people call a Pokemon." She pulled out the Pokemon guide that was given to her by 'Mom', and started studying it. After a quick skim, Madison found what she looking for: the entry on Pokemon 'Evolution'. In it she read to herself, when Pokemon reach certain parameters (Elemental Stones, leveling up being two examples...) they undergo a process called evolving. They change their appearances and even their temperment/mood as well as sometimes their typing and moves they could learn.

"Hmm... It says on this Pokegear that you Water Pokemon, and you're classified as the Bubble Frog Pokemon. You have this bubble things on your neck called 'frubbles' and they help deflect attacks and lower the damage they do." Before the Froakie could interject, (indeed, she barely has time to say 'Fro') before a small bird Pokemon landed on the ground. "Huh. That bird Pokemon almsot looks like a woodpecker." With a cry of 'Pikipek!' the bird proceded to go after the backpack's food supply, upon which didn't make the Froakie happy one bit. (Or Madison even)

As he or she charged for the food laid out, Froakie gives a strong Bubble knocking the bird off course. With a cry of pain, the bird Pokemon was veered off course and landed in a nearby wooded clearing. "Okay um, do you give up?" With fire in their eyes, flew off the ground then proceded to Peck Froakie with its beak. Ready for this, the Froakie gave a small Pound as she jumped over the Pikipek by leaping on a nearby tree branch. "I'm guessing that bird won't leave us alone untill we knock it out or capture them... Okay then. Pokeball, Go! " With an easy time of the ball sakinging once, twice and finally a ping after the third shake. Picking up Pikipek's ball, Madison gave a look to Froakie. "I guess we have a new friend. Look, I can't promise much. But if you're willing to work with me, I will do the best I can for you and Pikipek here!" Froakie thought about this and then tugged on Madison's pant leg, signaling an agreement.

Madison gave a small smile. "Great! Now how do you feel about a name? Something strong like you are." Frokie gave a nod, and allowed Madison to continue. "How about Mira? You like it?" The newly named Mira apparently did so like it at that, and gave her a grin. "I don't know what's going on really, but at least things might be looking up now!"

    Name: Ferid Bathory
Series: Seraph of the End: Vampire's Reign
Timeline: Chapter 42, after calling the Progenitor Council in regards to Krul Tepes's "betrayal" and asking for aid against the humans.
    Canon Resource Links: Here!!

Personality: Ferid Bathory is, in the simplest word, a bitch.

On the outside, he's polite and friendly to many he meets; in particular humans, who vampires don't normally have a strong opinion on unless it's about their status as "livestock". He finds them interesting. Behind his charming face and frivolous attitude, though, lies a man of cunning intelligence, who's been carrying a plan for over two thousand years and has pulled the strings behind several others hundreds of years in advance.

To say that Ferid is patient would be an understatement.

As any vampire is, he is arrogant and prideful, but unlike many of his kind it isn't to a fault -- he's wise enough to toe lines and never go over, though when he gets close he backtracks immediately with a dismissal of their anger, saying he'd only been joking. Ferid admires and envies humanity's greed for all things, because vampires themselves have no desire for anything but blood, but acknowledges that it is humanity's greed that will be their downfall one day; it's also what scares vampires most about humans when they bother to think of them as anything but livestock, because humans will always seek something more powerful while vampires are content so long as they have a place to feed.

As a human, he had always been a rather intelligent child, bored easily due to his excellent memory and ability to memorize things, and that followed him into vampiredom -- he often does things just for kicks, basically, going so far as to leading children into a hopeful situation of escape and then slaughtering them all after seeing despair embrace them as they realize it had been a trap: a real sadist. He often starts "little games" such as these over the hundreds of years towards some purpose of his own choosing, ultimately to keep himself entertained in his long life because (in his own words) "living forever gets boring".

Playing triple agent is also something he does to keep himself entertained: as a vampire, as an informant for the humans, and for himself, ultimately. Ferid calls many people his "friends" but nearly none of them would one, agree to that, and two, actually be considered by him as a friend. In fact, the only one that comes to mind in any regard is Crowley, and that's because he technically "sired" the vampire with stolen blood over his own.

(Crowley, for the record, claims it'll take 800 years to be friends with someone like Ferid.)

Manipulative and with time to spare, Ferid is extremely dangerous once he's got his footing. He's quick to get the lay of situations and turn them to his own advantage, going so far as to blackmail others without a second thought, gaining allies and cutting them away as he pleases. Even the more powerful, the more authoritative aren't above his reach -- he'll simply find a stepladder to help himself on to to put the metaphorical rope around their neck. And all of this is below a face of flattery and frivolous words, with habits called "eccentric" by his peers and an attitude that seems a fool with no designs his own.
