Character Name: Satoko Houjou Series: Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Timeline: Post-Matsuribayashi-hen. Canon Resource Links:Wiki page! [cw for blood/violence against a child in the link, in image form. ]
Personality: [cw for child abuse, murder. ] Satoko is an energetic, mischievous girl with a penchant for setting traps and getting into trouble. The first thing you’ll notice about her is that she’s full of energy and that she loves to tease people and have fun. She’s witty and clever, taking part in a games club at school where the rules specify that there’s no such thing as cheating, and she’s learnt to be extremely crafty in her victories. At times, though, she can overestimate her own abilities, and underestimate others, which leads to her own downfall. After all, she’s still just a kid – so she can still be outsmarted, and there are a lot of things she doesn’t yet understand.
One thing to note about Satoko is that she’s extremely strong-willed – and that strength is something that she values highly. She’s had a rough past filled with hardship. Many things have happened to her ever since she was a kid, but one particularly traumatic event was the vanishing of her brother – who had killed the abusive aunt that was their guardian before disappearing without a trace. Satoko used to be extremely dependent on her brother, relying on him to protect her from their aunt without considering how he felt or how he would be hurt in her stead. However, when he disappeared, she realized how much she had put him through as a result of her relying on him.
As a result, she vowed to become strong enough that he would see how strong she had become and return to her. She’s determined not to be a burden and get anyone else hurt because of her again. However, while Satoko does have an incredible amount of strength in handling traumatic events, her desire to be strong isn’t always a good thing – for example, when her abusive uncle came back, she refused to seek help despite desperately needing it, as she believed that it would make her weak, and that she deserved to be punished for what she put her brother through before.
She does have her limits in regards to her strength, though – still being a child, there are things that can break even her. Sometimes she still calls out for her brother, despite her desire not to do so.
She’s very independent, able to cook (though not particularly well) and run a household along with her best friend, Rika, who she lives with. She’s also optimistic, believing one day that her brother will return, and she’s able to find happiness in the life she lives now with her friends, who help her to feel less lonely. She thinks of them as being like a family to her.
It’s not immediately obvious upon meeting her, since she has a bit of an arrogant attitude and her traps can occasionally be a little mean-spirited, but Satoko is kind at heart, able to empathise with the struggles of others, and wanting to help them where she can. She’s also very loyal to her friends, and would stick by them even if they’d committed a murder – quite literally.

Character Name: Lysithea von Ordelia Series: Fire Emblem: Three Houses Timeline: The beginning of the timeskip, Verdant Wind Canon Resource Links:I don't have time for failure!
Personality:
Early on in Lysithea's childhood- as in, she was two- as one of the leading noble families of the Leicester Alliance, her parents heeded a call for aid during a small revolt, and the neighboring empire took great offense. The revolt was crushed, and key members of House Ordelia were killed, but the empire wasn't finished yet. Infiltrators from a secret organization had also been part of the group sent to their territory, and imprisoned Lysithea and her siblings to enact magic experiments on them. The siblings and their parents could only watch in horror as they died one by one, leaving only her mother, father and herself alive with the experiments resulting in a grim success: Lysithea had two Crests with in her: a Minor Crest of Charon and a Major Crest of Gloucester. However, the experiments also cut her lifespan severely, and with her frail health it's become clear that she will not live a long life so long as the Crests are within her... and as far as she is aware, there is no one who can. Callously, the mages who had experimented her abandoned the family in their own home when they realized the price of their success. One may conclude that witnessing these events in her childhood is the reason she is so terrified of ghosts, regardless of what she may say.
With the tragedy suffered by House Ordelia, Lysithea has vowed to put an end to their affairs- once she can ensure her parents a peaceful, happy remainder of their days she plans on dissolving House Ordelia as a noble family and has no plans on continuing the family line. To do so, however, she needed to be more than the frail, dying little girl they had left behind, and there was only one thing to do: get to work.
As a result, Lysithea is a notoriously driven young woman, regarded as a magical prodigy by all who meet her and with a work ethic that could scare even the most ambitious of people. She values hard work, determination and integrity above all and as a result she gets incredibly offended and angry when the results of her work is regarded as 'natural talent'. Every day she works to better herself, foster her skills and draw more of her potential out and all that she does is for her parents- she loves them dearly, and can't stand the idea of being a burden on them. But her drive also makes her proud- she can't stand asking for help or accepting it, and though she may try she also is unsure of how to offer it as well. She also can't stand being treated childishly, and will rather ruthlessly critique 'childish' traits in others without thinking first. Many have fallen victim to her temper and harsh words due to this, and she misses when she acts immaturely quite often- such as ruthlessly tearing into Ignatz for not meeting her standards or angrily refusing Raphael's help as a student... or even her dislike of vegetables.
However, she's not all drive and harsh words- Lysithea can be just as sweet as the cakes she loves most, and even she can find time to enjoy the little things in life like a good book, a treat or even a stuffed animal. She loves her friends loudly and sincerely, and will readily shower them with praises without even thinking, and her loyalty to Claude is second to none. And even with her harsh temper and sharp tongue, she'll readily and sincerely apologize if she or someone else believes she has gone too far- she's not heartless in the least, and wants to help everyone reach their best. She dreams of a world where what happened to her is impossible to recreate, where the ones she loves can be happy and thrive... even if she's gone. And if she has to dig herself out of the grave to make it happen, then so be it.
Pokémon Information Affiliation: Breeder Starter: Milcery Password: Atomic Fireball
It's been several days since Lysithea made it to Cherrygrove City. The cold was harsh, but the people of New Bark Town had been incredibly helpful and generous in their aid, and for it she would be forever grateful. It was strange, waking up in a world so peaceful when she had been fighting a five-year long war just the day before- everything felt hazy, like a dream that she truthfully didn't want to wake up from.
She knows Claude is still further into the kingdom they've arrived in, having been here for months now. Every day she delays is more time it would take to catch up, but the weather is unkind to frail women who grew up in warmer countries where snow was a two-inch blanket. She knows this, but still she sits in a cafe, writing in the notebook the woman claiming to be her mother had given her. It held quite a bit at this point- it was a diary, a record of questions and theories about her new situation and new... world, and a log of what she was slowly learning about her partner pokemon, a milcery (who made no sense, honestly, because how did a drop of cream come to life and why does it have a face?) and a friendly face she'd met on the road- a big, furry little thing called a sentret. It was incredible how different they were, and yet they were treated so similarly by the world around them.
As the pencil scratches against the paper, Lysithea glances at the clock on the wall. In about an hour, she would deposit her journal back at the room in the inn she'd managed to secure. Her funds had been startlingly low, but she'd been hired on at the local library for a week. To leave now would be unthinkably rude and irresponsible! Claude would have to understand. And besides, having some extra funds would be helpful, wouldn't it? But for now, she had time to learn. Her milcery maintaining a solid presence despite the sentret curling around her for a hug. It made no sense, so it would be written down to explore further in their time together. There wasn't much she could do about the situation, but she could still learn and adapt as she always did.

Character Name: Argonaut "Argo" Keene Series: The Adventure Zone: Graduation Timeline:Immediately following episode 20 Canon Resource Links:Argo's wiki page and his world, Nua, a D&D adjacent world where Heroes and Villains are university trained and functionally WWE-style entertainers.
Personality: Argo Keene has a very specific personality that he puts out to the world: roguishly charming, quick-witted, debonair and surprisingly genuine - and while these are all individually true, they tell a markedly different story than what's under his no-longer-blue skin. The best lies have a grain of truth at their core, after all.
Argo is indeed a naturally social and agreeable person, and makes little pretence in showing a genuine interest in other people and playing a supporting role in their relationship with him, through either literally supporting them through actions or gifts of lemons and fish jerky, or as moral support. He will always help someone to the very limit of his abilities, but will never actually take charge of an entire situation unless it's clear the other parties are unable or unwilling to do so. And yet despite all of this, it's actually extremely difficult to learn more about the Genasi himself: he's tight-lipped on his own life and circumstances, and even his own true feelings.
Part of this is due to a massive heaping of anxiety: Argo is desperate to feel like he truly belongs to a group, and to have meaningful relationships with other people - especially his fellow Thundermen - but simultaneously doesn't want to come across as whiny or a burden, or not capable of keeping up with people; so he tends to stay quiet and bottle up his own feelings. Despite this, though, his actions betray him more often than not in his eagerness to be Of Use to other people, more than his career as Henchman would rightfully demand; while he doesn't often lie, he'll absolutely do so in order to keep people from thinking he's not worth their time.
He's fiercely, desperately loyal, but it's easy to - and more than once, has been - used against him, along with his habitual bottling up of emotions and quietly harbouring resentment, and it's something he doesn't quite have the emotional intelligence or self-worth to properly recognise as such until it's too late.

Character Name: Fitzroy Maplecourt Series: The Adventure Zone: Graduation Timeline: Post episode 20 Canon Resource Links:Here
Personality: Fitzroy is one of those strange types of people that at first glance seems to be a posh and swanky stuck up rich type. If you ignore the fact he's six foot four and built like a truck. It's funny in a way because when Fitzroy opens his mouth he sounds like your typical whiny and entitled spoiled brat that deserves nothing but the best, insisting that he's a knight (in absentia) of a kingdom that seems to be a Nigerian prince scam in a fantasy setting. An absolute brain dead dolt that is intensely selfish and cares about no one other than himself and what can immediately benefit himself.
Which, in a way, is quite true. But this is just how he thinks he needs to act, coming from a background that is far plainer than that to where he needed to lie and put on pretenses at Clyde Nite's Night Knight School to not seem to be out of place. He even went so far as to wear a pair of glasses (with no lenses) to make himself seem more intelligent. This man is a barbarian and sorcerer mix which means he's not necessarily stupid but he's also far more made towards physical prowess and wisdom than actual intelligence. He can be a rather effective leader and tactician when he needs to be, but it still comes mixed in with absolutely stupid commentary around it. Or needing to be tempered by the situation or someone around him.
He also can pretend all he wants that no one means anything to him, but in reality he truly cares about those around him, even if he would never outright admit it. The other Thundermen (Master Firbolg and Argo) are the closest things he has and has had as friends and thus will make fun of them and poke at them but if anyone else does, then all hell breaks loose. This is also particularly seen in a hilarious light when he's taught how to manifest his magic into a celestial magical construct crab named Snippers that he hates and tries to leave behind at first, when a few episodes later he's legitimately calling him "his sweet boy" and would always have the tiny crab around.
Truly he's a man of ridiculous contradictions, which would anyone else who has their magic coming from the literal embodiment of Chaos not be much the same?

Character Name: Ludwig von Koopa Series: Super Mario Timeline: The Super Mario timeline is kind of ambiguous, but Ludwig draws inspiration especially from post-Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey, post-Color Splash, post-Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, and post-Paper Jam. Canon Resource Links:https://www.mariowiki.com/Ludwig_von_Koopa
Personality: Ludwig von Koopa is the eldest of the Koopalings, a group of magic Koopas that were adopted by Bowser. They are also his henchmen, and basically the best of the best of the Koopa King's army. As such, Ludwig has a lot on his plate. He's practically Bowser's second-in-command, so he plays the leader of the group a lot, despite the other Koopalings' arguments against him being so.
Ludwig is quite smug and snooty, and he definitely likes to show off. It makes sense, considering he's the strongest magic user out of the group. As much as they all bicker with each other, Ludwig does care about his siblings. This also goes for Bowser Jr., the youngest sibling, but the one next in line for Bowser's throne. You'd think Ludwig would be kind of mad he wouldn't be first in line for the crown, but he isn't really, and instead helps Bowser Jr. become the best prince he can be. Ludwig is also very charismatic and persuasive, opting to try to talk things out first before resorting to fighting. While he can be charismatic, it's been kind of hard for him to have very many friends in the Koopa Kingdom, considering his rank and occupation. Lets hope he changes this in Victory Road!
Ludwig loves music, especially classical. Although this may be his forte (pun totally intended), he definitely enjoys all kinds of music, ranging from rock to musicals and everything in between! He plays the piano mostly, but he tries to teach himself a variety of different instruments. He is very intelligent, and before he had music as a hobby, he dabbled in science. He was a bit of a wild child when he was much younger (they didn't call him Kooky von Koopa for nothing! and frankly he'd like to forget that.) He still creates his own inventions from time to time, but now more alongside his brother Iggy who is considered the mad scientist. Now he puts his smarts more towards music and strategy.

Unfortunately, we can't accept your application at this time. The reason for rejection is that Ludwig lacks enough canon and continuity to be played here at Victory Road.

Character Name: Izuku Midoriya Series: My Hero Academia Timeline: Chapter 286 Canon Resource Links:Izuku on the wiki! Personality: Izuku Midoriya’s dream was to become the greatest hero. But then, he was born without a Quirk. And those without Quirks in a world of superheroes…can’t become great heroes.
Izuku had it tough when he was growing up as every child around him started manifesting Quirks, superpowers individual to each person, while he remained Quirkless. At the age of four, the doctor finally declared him to be Quirkless, dashing any hopes he’d had of becoming a great hero in the future. But despite all of this…Izuku wasn’t going to give up. He was determined to surpass even what was thought to be impossible.
Having been bullied mercilessly as a child for not having a Quirk, Izuku tends to be timid and a bit shy, though he’s constantly helpful to a fault. He’s polite and kind even in the face of adversity, which more often than not earned him more ire than if he’d tried to fight back. He was insecure because he was falling behind his peers. These traits were amplified before he received his Quirk- One for All- from the Number 1 Hero All Might, a person he’d idolized as a child and his sole reason for wanting to become a hero in the first place. Despite eventually receiving a Quirk, however, Izuku then had to work twice as hard to quickly gain some level of control over his new power so that he could actually go to school to train to become a Professional Hero. This resulted in him training himself intensively for 10 months to prepare for an entrance exam, showing his fierce determination to not allow the opportunity to slip through his fingers.
He is very intelligent and a quick thinker, tending to get lost in his own thoughts. He has a habit of mumbling to himself when he’s trying to think of something or work out a sort of strategy, but this is one of the things that Izuku excels the most at. Despite his originally shaky control of his given Quirk, Izuku was and still is able to compensate for his lack of experience by being able to think very quickly on his feet, taking into account every detail of a situation before he formulates a plan to tackle it. He isn’t one to give up either, prepared to go through whatever it takes to see his plan to fruition, which at times leads to Izuku being a bit impulsive and rash. Even if he has good intentions, he’ll often rush into a situation headlong without thinking about the consequences- mainly to his own self, often getting himself hurt for the sake of saving another. He has a very strong sense of justice and is constantly concerned with acting in a way that a “hero” would. Izuku is also very emotional and emphatic, and very often he’ll break down into tears if he gets overwhelmed with emotion whether it be positive or negative. He’ll cry when he’s overjoyed or when he’s devastated. There’s really no situation that’s exempt from being subject to his emotions, because he has quite a few of them.
Izuku has shown to be very strongly devoted to and passionate about the things he cares for the most, and in particular this happens to be All Might himself. He is incredibly devoted to the hero as he’s had the biggest impact on him growing up, being the main source of his ideals and beliefs in regards to what it means to be a hero. He has collected practically every piece of merchandise produced for All Might, has poured over all videos and documentaries about him, and even copies his fighting style and naming conventions for moves when he inherits One for All. It gets to a point where Izuku realizes that he needs to make the Quirk his own and tailor his style of fighting to be something his own body can handle instead of letting his admiration for All Might control all of the decisions he makes with it.
Though Izuku is normally kind and caring, he has a tendency to show his more aggressive side particularly when in combat. He’s shown himself to get frustrated and agitated if a situation isn’t going as planned, though he’s never quick to jump to anger. Instead of anger, he turns to a strong, unwavering drive to succeed, whether succeeding means saving someone or defeating the villain he is up against. A lot of this manifests in him due to the fact that he looks up very strongly to his childhood friend Bakugou Katsuki, who he considers to be the picture of victory, resulting in him somewhat mimicking Bakugou’s tendency to be loud and brash while fighting. It isn’t terribly often that this side comes out in Izuku due to him consciously trying to always keep it in check.
Pokémon Information Affiliation: Trainer Starter: Eevee Reasoning: A big part of Izuku as a character is the fact that he was born Quirkless. He originally had no special abilities compared to the rest of his peers. Ever since inheriting One For All, he's been made to prove his worth in being granted such immense power by training and pushing himself to limits that others like him never had to since they had Quirks of their own from birth. I like the idea of giving Izuku an Eevee for several reasons, but the first relates to this idea of Eevee being an average Pokemon with infinite potential that can be reached with the right type of training. The second reason is the fact that OFA is actually multiple Quirks in one, each added to its power from one of the previous holders. I think this would be a neat contrast to Eevee's ability to evolve into many different forms, just like Izuku having access to multiple abilities. Password: Atomic Fireball
(Let me know if this works, if not I can find a more suitable one since the game it comes from is a horror game and definitely different from VR. I had a more relaxed one but it was just skirting the four month limit unfortunately)
Victory Road Sample: Midoriya Izuku's reverie was broken by two furry paws excitedly bapping themselves against his collarbone, clearly vying for his undivided attention.
"Evu-!!" His Eevee cried with a wag of his fluffy tail, having finally managed to convince his trainer to pry his eyes from the notebook he'd been furiously scribbling in for the past half hour. It had taken a considerable pause- during which Izuku had been chewing on the end of his pencil, deep in thought about one thing or another- for him to find the opportunity, but once it revealed itself it was very quickly snagged. With a soft smile, Izuku lowered his pencil and ruffled the top of Eevee's head with his free hand, looking apologetic.
"Ah, I'm sorry...I hadn't realized how long I'd been working. Here, do you want to see my notes so far?"
Never one to pass up a chance to be the lap-Pokemon he was born to be, Eevee slid backward into the nook created in the way Izuku had been crossing his legs, settling down among the fluff of his neck and tail with a pleased chirp. From there, it was easy for him to look as Izuku lifted up the notebook in front of him, giving him a good view of what he'd been writing for the last while. It seemed to be a detailed list of all of the Pokemon he'd seen on the route he and his travel group had been passing through, which seemed silly given the fact that he had a Pokedex to automatically keep track of all of that for him...but the notebook had things the Pokedex lacked, such as details about the individual specimens they'd come across, little doodles of them, and even anecdotes about things that had occurred upon their sighting.
"If we're going to be trying to challenge one of the gyms for the first time, we're going to need to keep training to be prepared," he started to explain, leaning back against the inner canvas of the tent he'd pitched for the night. "And these Pokemon are the ones we'll be fighting to get ready."
"Eee..." Eevee huffed, looking up at Izuku until the boy broke down into nervous chuckles, scratching the side of his cheek with one finger.
"Okay...maybe I just wanted to document them into my notes too, but it's going to be useful for later, I promise!"
That at least seemed to be enough to satisfy his starter, who reached a paw out to pat the surface of the paper in front of his nose. Specifically patting the image of one of the Pokemon Izuku had drawn. It only took him a moment to realize why, given the determined twitching of Eevee's tail and the way he was staring intently at the drawing.
Smiling, he scratched Eevee gently between the ears one more time before returning to his notes with a sigh, "Guess you're already ready, huh? I don't know why I was so worried..."

Character Name: Leonardo da Vinci Series: Assassin's Creed Timeline: After Sequence 11, 1488 Canon Resource Links:the one and only
Personality: At the root of all the crazy bullshit level genius to follow, Leonardo is curious. Boundlessly so. If there’s a mystery to uncover or a puzzle to solve, he’ll be there, probably not with bells on, but definitely eager and ready to go. Not only does he figure out how fix a hidden blade just by studying the schematic, but with no additional prompting, he throws in another one on the house. His reaction to not knowing how something works is to try it out and see what happens, which is how Ezio ended up with an experimental gun strapped onto his wrist and loose instructions to test it out on some dummies. He’s driven by a deep desire to understand…basically everything, which is how he’s become so famous for, well, understanding basically everything. There’s no puzzle so small that he doesn’t want to dig his hands into it. Sometimes very literally.
He’s excited about all of it, too. If he’s made a discovery, or figured out a translation, or has a new design in the works, chances are high that he can’t keep it to himself for very long. He damn near literally lights up when he thinks he’s invented a working flying machine. When Ezio tests it out, he’s so happy that it works, even a little, that it takes a moment to sink in that the flying machine doesn’t have enough lift to carry out the plan the Assassins are using it for. This excitable quality makes him fairly easy to read, at least emotionally. If he’s worried or upset, he’ll show it just as readily as if he were happy, as the thousands of people who’ve restarted their games due to missing the ‘press x to hug him’ prompt can attest.
Getting one of his inventions past the prototype stage is an exercise in frustration, and the less said about the string of unfinished commissions left in his wake, the better. Leonardo’s never met a deadline that didn’t woosh as it went by, whether because a project took longer than expected or through straight up procrastination. It also seems that he gets hung up on the details at times. The same attention to detail that lets him note the color of the atmosphere or the function of the eye also means that he gets stuck when he can’t work a problem all the way out. When he can’t figure out how to provide enough lift for the flying machine, he goes so far as throwing some of his notes into the fireplace. Another probable cause of his inability to finish things is his seemingly short attention span. He’ll leave scientific studies for days or weeks at a time while he focuses on something else. Reading his notes is incredibly difficult not because he encrypted them, but because he hops from topic to topic as it interests him. He’ll get back around to his subjects of interest sooner or later, but in the mean time, his patrons are often left hanging.
About that sense of humor of his. Calling it trolling might, in fact, be something of an understatement. He’s fond of pranks, ranging from the utterly harmless to the scarily dangerous, and the part when, not very many hours into the game, he acts as if he’s about to cut Ezio’s finger off, is considered character establishing for a reason. Beyond that, his comments trend towards dark and morbid when it comes to quips. Ranging from suggesting that the best place to find poison is by visiting a doctor to telling Ezio to put a dead body with ‘the others’, it soon becomes apparent that Leonardo says these things knowing full-well what he’s implying, and does it anyway for kicks.
Good thing he’s kind, then, or he probably wouldn’t keep getting work. For all that Leonardo’s a genius, and god, is he ever, it’s his generosity that really helps set him apart. This is a man rumored to buy songbirds from the market solely to free them, after all, and his game behavior seems to back it up. He’s quick to offer a helping hand in whatever way he can, whether by inventing something or simply pointing someone in the right direction. He may be a little stingy with his florins at times, sure, but when it really counts, his kindness knows no bounds. Seeing some Venetian guards hassle a merchant visibly worries him, and he translates every single codex page in the game for free. His concern for others extends to the point that he’s not willing to kill anyone at all, claiming that the one thing he isn’t is a man of violence.
Oh, yeah, and sometimes he paints, too.

Character Name: Morgan Series: Fire Emblem: Awakening Timeline: Immediately after leaving her own timeline, before she appears in the ruins Canon Resource Links:https://fireemblem.fandom.com/wiki/Morgan_(Awakening)
Personality: For someone who remembers almost nothing about her life before she came here, Morgan is remarkably cheerful and friendly. The one major thing she does remember is her father, the genius tactician Robin, and that she's always wanted to be just like him and even surpass him in her tactical prowess. But her mind works in...creative ways, so her idea of "tactics" isn't always logical or reasonable. She doesn't let failure or the dubious reactions of others deter her, though, and she's always willing to try something else if her first idea doesn't work. (Her first idea rarely works.) But she is clever, if unorthodox, and she eventually hits upon solutions that do work, even if they may have unforeseen side effects.
She doesn't mind that people think she's strange, nor does she mind the chaos she leaves in her wake, although she usually has good intentions even if others can't tell at first because she's doing something that seems nonsensical and not bothering to explain why. She adores playing pranks and testing her ability to catch others with her tricks or outmaneuver them, but she's not out to hurt anyone and if she realizes she's done so, she'll hurry to help. She believes in learning hands-on, so although she enjoys studying and learning, she tends to rush into things before she's necessarily ready.
Despite not letting her amnesia get her down, she also badly wants to restore her memories, and will try almost anything in the attempt. (Up to and including smashing her head into a post or a heavy tome.) She's in fact willing to try almost anything in general, since who knows--maybe she enjoys it and just doesn't know it yet! But mostly, the reason she so desperately wants to recover her memory is so that she can remember her friends and family. She hates the idea of treating them like strangers when she finally meets them, and she'd...yknow...like to actually meet them, which is difficult if she doesn't remember who they are!
Still, she's excited about making new friends too, and she isn't shy about it (or much of anything). Over the course of her time in Johto, all kinds of things could shake loose memories about her past, so she wants to experience it all.

Hello, me! If you're watching this, it probably means I lost my memory again! Or else I'm just watching it for fun. Either way, this magic box is going to be my journal about everything that happens, to remind myself all about my life in case I forget it all again.
So here's the deal, me. Your name is Morgan. You were studying to be a brilliant tactician just like your father, whose name is Robin. You were studying magic, too, but that doesn't seem to work anymore...I guess I forgot how to do it. But don't worry, I bet we're quick learners!
Your mother lives in New Bark Town and she told you to go on a journey to make Pokemon friends and restore your memories! Okay, so she didn't say that last part, but it was definitely implied. And you've probably noticed, but you have one Pokemon friend already: this little guy here!
[The camera turns to show a Mimikyu, who waggles its tail a little in greeting and then shuffles shyly over to hide behind the bench Morgan's apparently sitting on.]
The magic box says he's a Mimikyu, but he's not literally mimicking you. Apparently he's dressed up as some other Pokemon! I tried to get him to show me what he really looks like but he wouldn't.
[Then, in a stage whisper,]
Don't worry, we're very clever, we'll come up with a way!
[She returns to her normal speaking volume.]
The box also says he's a ghost. Spooooooky, right? He doesn't seem like a ghost to me, but I guess I wouldn't know if I've ever met a ghost before, huh? Anyway, since your magic studies are on hold for now, you can study Pokemon breeding instead.
[She pulls out the breeding manual in her bag and holds it up to the Gear.]
It's pretty fascinating so far! And Pokemon are magical creatures, so it's like you're still studying magic anyway. I'm trying to get Mimikyu to teach me his tricks--I'll let you know how it goes! Oh, he probably needs a real name, huh? Since there are other Mimikyus out there too. Okay, once I think of a name I'll report back in case you forget what it is.
That's it for now. See you next time, me! Er--well, you'll see me next time, at least. Bye!

Character Name: Hermione Granger (16) Series: Harry Potter (book series) Timeline: Taken from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix when Hermione is in the Department of Mysteries fighting Death Eaters with Harry, Ron, Ginny, Neville and Luna. She gets hit by a curse from Dolohov and crumples to the ground. This is the point she will wake in Victory Road. Note that this is the second time she has appeared in Victory Road. The first was towards the end of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. She will return with full memories of her time here previously. Canon Resource Links: Harry Potter Wikipedia page Harry Potter Wiki Hermione Granger Wikipedia page
Personality: Hermione Granger is an extremely intelligent witch and is often referred to as the ‘brightest witch of her age’. She has a passion and thirst for learning, and has the ability to absorb information and then recite it verbatim. She loves books and studying, and can often be found in the library researching or furthering her learning.
Hermione finds it difficult to make friends as her peers (and some adults) see her as a know-it-all, and when she corrects people she comes across as bossy and elitist. However this is not the case - her perceived bossiness or ‘one-upmanship’ is a consequence of Hermione’s fear of failure (particularly in relation to her studies), and her self-consciousness about her outward appearance. It isn’t her intention to be bossy or come across as superior, but part of a front that she puts up to protect herself. While she appears confident when talking about her studies, she is deeply wounded when she is bullied about her intelligence and looks, and tends to retreat and steer clear of others, often escaping to the library.
Hermione has a deep respect for rules, structure and authority, and finds the thought of breaking rules abhorrent, often scolding others for doing so. She finds it difficult to accept that a trusted adult in a position of power would abuse it, and often defends authority figures when they are accused of wrongdoing when the evidence isn’t clear. However Hermione does come to eventually see that not all people can be trusted, and not all rules are fair, and she will break the rules if the need is extreme.
After making friends with Harry and Ron, Hermione’s bossiness isn’t quite as extreme, however she will still scold both friends if she feels they are breaking rules, doing something dangerous or neglecting their studies. Both Ron and Harry have helped Hermione open up and be less serious, however will always turn to her for advice, and make use of her impressive knowledge and intelligence. She is the voice of reason when Harry wants to charge forward into something without thinking.
As a friend, Hermione is also fiercely loyal – she is the only one to stand by Harry despite the rumours that circulate in the Daily Prophet about him, and stays by his side despite the difficulties and dangers he is faced with, even though doing so could result in her death. Even when she is shunned by Harry multiple times, she still reconciles with him and remains his closest friend. Her loyalty may be tied to the fact that she finds it difficult to make friends, and therefore clings to the ones she does have.
Hermione also has a strong sense of justice and will stand up for others. She feels that all sentient creatures are equal, and will fight for the rights of minority groups despite knowing she faces an uphill battle, particularly against purebloods.
She can also see past the exterior to the uniqueness and beauty inside – her love for her cat Crookshanks is evidence of this. Crookshanks is one of the ugliest, meanest cats Ron and Harry have seen, however Hermione loves him and Crookshanks is loyal to her, particularly since he chose Hermione as his owner rather than the other way around. She is also one of the only people who treats Harry as a person in his own right, rather than by his title as the ‘Boy who Lived’. She sees past the title and heroic deeds to the real person inside, and treats him as a proper friend.

Victory Road Sample: Hermione leapt up, wand out as her eyes darted around frantically, heart racing. It took a few moments for her to realise that she was no longer in the Department of Mysteries, but also not in the hospital ward at Hogwarts.
She lowered her wand slightly, confused but still alert. Why did this place look familiar?
Her answer came moments later when she found herself bustled out the door after having a backpack shoved in her arms by a cheerful woman who waved goodbye before closing the door on her. That woman had been lucky Hermione hadn't hexed her by accident when she'd burst into the room.
Left alone outside, Hermione sank to the ground, realisation dawning as she took in the music playing in the background.
No.
No, it couldn't be. Not now.
She shakily raised a hand to clutch at her chest. She'd been hit by an unknown curse. She could still feel the ghost of pain deep in her chest.
Had she died? Is that why she was here again?
She shook her head. No, that was unlikely. She wouldn't still feel the pain if she had, and the spell hadn't been the green of the killing curse.
The adrenaline from the fight, from trying desperately to stay alive as Death Eaters hammered them with curses and unforgivables, was wearing off.
Tears pricked at her eyes. All her friends....nothing had prepared them for that fight. She'd told Harry it was a trap and he hadn't listened. She should have tried harder to convince him, to stop him from going.
She had no idea if any of them were still alive. The Order had come in, wands blazing, but that just increased the number of dangerous spells flying around. And now, when her friends needed her the most, she was stuck here. Again. Her only small solace was that when she'd been hit, all her friends had still been standing.
She numbly flipped over the top of the backpack, staring at the red and white ball nestled on top.

Character Name: Ron Stoppable Series: Kim Possible Timeline: After the season 4 finale Canon Resource Links:Here
Personality: There's a reason Drakken calls Ron a buffoon, and it's because he kind of is. He's forgetful, easily distracted, and a bit of a procrastinator. He can come off as not that bright, in part because his distractability and undiagnosed ADHD make academia somewhat difficult for him, but also because outside of his admittedly varied interests he's less than informed and also occasionally slow on the uptake. Not to mention the fact that his brain can go to weird places in high-stress situations. He also has some difficulty with balancing childlike wonder with growing responsibilities.
He's terrified of near everything, occasionally veering into paranoia. It's something he's been slowly getting a handle on. Aside from his fear of monkeys it hasn't been by dealing with those fears, but rather pushing them aside to various degrees of success when it's necessary. Namely, when Kim needs help, as he believes she's worth every risk he can and can't think of. There's a certain level of bravery in that. When then going gets tough, he'll still step up no matter how scared he is. He might be screaming his head off the entire way, though.
Despite this, when he's actually in his comfort zone, away from the things he fears, he can actually be pretty chill.
Ron is genuinely a nice guy, He may have the occasional misstep here and there, but on the whole is a good guy to know. He's good with animals and children, even being able to verbally communicate to various degrees of success with the former. He's more or less blind to most people's social status, being able to befriend pretty much anyone from any walk of life without judging any of them. He's a pretty supportive friend too, and in Kim's case a supportive boyfriend.
He's a terrible liar. He's expressive, wears his heart on his sleeve, and that plus his general anxiety and phobias means he has a boatload of tells.
All that said, despite his goofy exterior, and also goofy interior, one thing someone should never do is mess with people or things Ron cares about. Mess with him? Fine, he's used to it. Mess with his sister, Rufus, or especially Kim and his usual lack of focus no longer becomes an issue. He will definitely try to beat the snot out of anyone who does, even if he doesn't always succeed.

An unfamiliar ceiling...wait, no, that was someone else's line.
Not that it wasn't true, because that was definitely not his ceiling. Also not his bed, not his room, not his pink dog, not his mom, not his staircase, not his backpack, and so totally not his front door being shut in his face.
"Okay then, that was weird. So, in the interests of focusing on something other than my inevitable panic attack," because no Kim and no Rufus in sight was definitely a freak out waiting to happen, "you're not gonna start trying to kill me, throw things at me, or just generally try to make my life a living heck, are ya?"
The Snubbull shakes her head. No, she was here to help him. She was pretty sure of that part, anyways.
"Sorry about that, then. It's just that I deal with a lot weird stuff, y'know? And a lot of it tries to kill me. Although dogs usually aren't that bad, so I guess I might've been a little harsh on ya."
Snubbull barks happily. The apology is accepted, and she tells him so.
"Thanks. So, um, next question, are you supposed to be pink?" Ron asks, and Snubbull nods.
"Alright then, glad to hear it. I think that covers all the points I wanted to get to. I'm Ron, Ron Stoppable. You got a name, buddy?"
Snubbull shakes her head, and Ron crouches down to get a better look at her.
"Well, ya look kinda like my high school mascot," he says, rubbing at his chin. The resemblance isn't uncanny, but it's there. "But you're a bit too much of a sweetheart to be the Mad Dog-"
She stops Ron right there. She definitely wants to be Mad Dog. That's the coolest name ever.
"Alright, alright. You're Mad Dog. Still a little much for every day, though. How 'bout Maddie for...not technically short, but ya know what I mean."
There's a few seconds wait as Snubbull thinks it over, but eventually the newly nicknamed Maddie nods.
"Badical! Nice to meet ya. So, guess we're gonna need a game plan, figure out where to go from here. First order of business...is to find some food because there is no way I'm dealin' with all this on an empty stomach. Hopefully there's a Bueno Nacho 'round here somewhere."
Note: I'm planning having his somewhat inconsistent animal communication ability work on Pokemon.

Character Name: Legosi Series: Beastars Timeline: End of Chapter 196 Canon Resource Links:Legosi on the Wiki!
Personality: As one of the most feared types of large-breed carnivore- the Grey Wolf-, Legosi spent the great majority of his life simply accepting his lot in it. Even from a young age, Legosi was quiet, reclusive, and did everything in his power to remain unnoticed and out of the way. While most considered him being a carnivore to give him an edge in life, Legosi viewed it as the exact opposite. He saw it as a hindrance moreso than a strength, and as such would downplay those traits even up into his teen years. Despite what Legosi could do with his status as being strong, powerful, and capable of more than others, he's remained extremely humble, kind, and thoughtful to everyone around him in spite of his appearance. He tends to be socially awkward due to his hyper-awareness of himself and his nature, making it initially difficult for him to connect with people who don't go out of their way to meet him halfway first. He's basically the polar-opposite in every way as to what someone might expect an "ideal" carnivore to be: quiet, withdrawn, prone to spacing out, and devoted to smaller hobbies like his love for bugs.
He's considered to be an excessively empathetic individual and bears no prejudice towards any animal whether they're carnivore or herbivore. He discovers throughout the series he harbors a particular interest in herbivores which brings him a lot of trouble, but for the most part he feels fiercely protective of them. He wants to see that everyone is treated equally in a world where a very clear social hierarchy is in place, one that he resides in the more "favorable" end of. His view of the world lends a great deal of more maturity to him compared to his peers, though he doesn't consider himself to be better than anyone else because of this. He genuinely wants what's best for everyone and does what he can to understand the struggles of every animal from every walk of life.
Legosi's convictions result in him tending to be extremely stubborn and impulsive, tending to act without thinking only to deal with the messes he's landed himself in after the fact. He's able to use his strengths to his advantage when necessary to assert himself moreso physically early on, but later in other ways as he starts to gain more confidence in himself. While he would prefer to resolve conflicts without having to be aggressive, that won't stop him from taking that route should the situation call need to it. This becomes especially true when Legosi is faced with an issue that involves one of his aforemention convictions, or needing to put himself in the line of fire to protect someone he cares about. He knows how to use his traits to his advantage, whether it be maturity and patience, or literal in the form of teeth and claws.

Character Name: Risotto Nero Series: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Timeline: Post-death (~episode 28 of the anime) Canon Resource Links: This wiki here has plenty of Risotto's history and appearance details. (Note: while there are sometimes slight differences between manga and anime in Jojo's overall, in the case of Risotto in particular not much contradicts itself. The main difference is that some present/flashback scenes are added in the anime, and in the manga we get his specific backstory. Added together they just make one cohesive picture. For clarity's sake I am apping the anime version, simply with the acknowledge that his additional manga backstory is probably canon, if that's alright by the mods. The linked wiki itself does not often note which source gave which info.)
Personality: Risotto is the leader of the Hitman Team of the Italian gang Passione, and he is in many ways what you might expect when thinking of someone picked out to lead a nine-man team of killers. He's big, serious, and surprisingly reticent in social settings, not engaging in chatter with his teammates but only chiming in with warnings, corrections, or orders.
Risotto is a cautious and calculating man, both in and out of combat. He is immediately suspicious of anything out of the ordinary around himself - his employees being unusually late for a meeting (Risotto correctly comments that this is unusual and a bad sign; it turns out two of their members were recently taken out by their Boss), a mysterious man being in a remote but important location (it turned out to be the second-in-command of the man he was trying to kill), etc. Despite his intimidating size and clear proficiency with fighting - he's shown dodging someone else's physical attacks with ease and demonstrates an ability to throw knives pretty accurately - Risotto clearly prefers to attack from afar and without being detected at all.
Which is where his 'stand', his in-world magical abilities, come in: in-universe, these powers are 'a manifestation of the user's fighting spirit'. They're intentionally symbolic powers that serve narrative purpose (as well as allowing for badass fight scenes, naturally). Risotto's stand allows him to turn invisible at will, a power he uses absolutely constantly while fighting a new opponent. Based on his own discussion of how his hits usually go, it's safe to assume Risotto usually kills his targets while remaining unseen the entire time. He doesn't need to prove himself by being seen and intimidating his targets - he just needs to win, and stay safe while doing so.
To that end, Risotto is also shown to be very patient. His entire canon story arc surrounds himself and his team attempting to rise up and kill their Boss, the Don of the mafia they're part of, due to multiple issues (the perception of not being paid enough; simple greed; and after two of their members are killed by the Boss as a warning, for revenge). It's Risotto who stops his teammates from immediately going after the Boss once two of their members are killed; he instructs them to 'forget about [their fallen teammates]' and they end up waiting two full years before the possibility of a new clue about the Boss' identity (and therefore, potential weaknesses) means Risotto finally mobilizes them. Risotto's first-ever kill was also a personal revenge he waited four years to enact. If he thinks he'll get a better chance later on? He will wait.
Despite this, Risotto is not an unfeeling machine. He's very much driven by internal motivations...these are just kept well-hidden in most circumstances. (Remember those super-symbolic magical powers? Most stand users have a stand that appears roughly human-shaped and sized, and which can punch for them in fights. Risotto's stand is instead a series of tiny gumdrop-sized beings that live...hidden away in his blood, unable to fight for him or even be seen by anyone else. Unless, of course, Risotto is injured. Talk about some heavy symbolism.) His first kill being the murder of a drunk driver who killed his cousin in a crash is a pretty clear indication of this. So is the fact that Risotto comes to kill the Boss at all: by the time Risotto is personally trying to kill their Boss, he is the only surviving member of his team. Clearly, he's not going to run the entire mafia himself. Risotto's only reason for continuing to chase down the boss is revenge, at that point. It's stated in canon by both himself and another character that this is the case: Risotto is angry and wants to personally kill the man responsible for his teammates' deaths.
Unfortunately for Risotto, perhaps the only solid showcasing of his humanity ends up being his downfall, not just from normal civilian life but to his own canon death. He fails to kill his Boss despite his own cautious start to the fight, and while it's not really wrong to read this fact as Risotto being the victim of the Boss' absurd power (fighting the Boss one on one is a bit like bringing a banana to a knife fight), it's also fair to say it's actually Risotto's eventual snap of anger that does him in. He grows too confident too quickly towards the very tail end of the fight, certain he's got the Boss right where he finally needs him in order to deal the final blow, and ends up miscalculating because of his own emotions after all. Risotto dies not just because he was the weaker opponent - he probably could have won by simply wearing the other down for longer - but because he let his angry need for revenge get the best of him.

Character Name: Maria Ushiromiya Series: Umineko: When They Cry Timeline: post-canon, more or less Canon Resource Links: There’s a wiki but it’s not the best when it comes to Maria, so I’ll supplement it a little by copy-pasting some of what I used last time I apped Maria somewhere. SPOILER WARNING FOR ALL OF UMINEKO TO FOLLOW. ALSO CW: DISCUSSION OF CHILD ABUSE.
As alluded to in the wiki link above, Rosa was, quite frankly, a terrible mother. When she wasn’t neglecting Maria--leaving her home alone for hours, sometimes even days on end--she was spoiling her to make up for it. She also beat Maria, slapping her around at the slightest provocation. Maria responded to this by mentally separating the kind Mama who indulged her and spoiled her with the evil Black Witch who tormented her. Even some of Rosa’s indulgences were suspect. One year she promised Maria a homemade stuffed animal for her birthday, but she neglected to actually make it and just picked up a cheap stuffed lion for her anyway, claiming it was homemade. Maria loved the lion, however, and named it Sakutaro.
The wiki also mentions Beatrice and Maria’s friendship. Amazingly enough, Maria knew more about some occult subjects than Beatrice. In fact, she taught Beatrice all she knew about demonology. Beatrice also invented a new form for Sakutaro to assume when Maria played with him, one of a little boy in a lion costume. Together they formed a group of witches called Mariage Sorciere. At one point, Maria’s younger cousin Ange was also a member, but she was excommunicated when she denied the existence of magic.
One day Maria went out with Sakutaro to get food from the convenience store while Rosa was gone. She wasn’t supposed to take Sakutaro outside the house, but she was lonely. On her way back, Maria lost the key to the house. She got taken to the police station, where the police looked after her until Rosa could come and get her. When Rosa came, she was furious. She beat Maria extra badly and then murdered Sakutaro by ripping him to pieces. After that, Maria’s active fantasy life became more violent and less sweet.
Beatrice, similarly miserable by the way her life had turned, began to construct a plan to create a Schrodinger’s box situation that would allow her to pass through death into an afterlife of infinite possibilities known as the Golden Land, through the mass murder of everyone on the Island of Rokkenjima over that year’s family conference. However, she also wanted to give the Ushiromiya family a fighting chance to avoid their fate. Beatrice enlisted Maria to help her by delivering a message to everyone, telling them unless they solved the mystery of the puzzle known as the witch’s epitaph that night, everyone on Rokkenjima would die.
And eventually everyone did die.
Maria died that night, at the hands of culprit of the Rokkenjima Massacre, but in some form her spirit did live on metaphysically and meta-fictionally over the next dozen years in the Golden Land, playing and replaying the days of the family conference, as the world outside struggled to figure who, indeed, was the true culprit of it all.
Personality: Again, I’m stealing this from the last time I apped Maria to a game, if edited slightly.
Okay. So probably the most important thing about Maria is that she views reality in a way that really doesn’t coincide with most people--she is a true believer in magic and witches and ritual--and that can lead to communication troubles between her and everyone else, unless they’re very special people like Beatrice who take the time to learn her language. For instance, in canon a younger Maria had a hard time with basic hygiene skills like remembering to brush her teeth and wash her hands until Beatrice reframed them as cleansing and purification rituals. Most people, however, don’t even try. They just ignore her babbling about witches and magic and this leads them to ignore Maria when she’s trying to tell them something important--just something framed in her viewpoint.
Is it a coping mechanism? Almost certainly. Maria’s home life is extremely awful and she’s locked into a wretchedly co-dependent relationship with her mother, whose abuse and neglect she makes excuses for because--Beatrice aside--they are really the only people each other has. Faced with an awful reality, why wouldn’t Maria dive straight into fantasy?
Also, one has to be careful when diagnosing fictional characters, i think it’s safe to say that Maria isn’t at all neurotypical. It’s not just her unique view of reality either. For one thing, she recognizes people not by any identifying physical characteristics, but by how they act at a certain time. This has allowed her to recognize ‘Mama’ (Rosa when she’s being kind) and ‘The Black Witch’ (Rosa when she’s being abusive) as two different people, the second of which sometimes possesses the first. This also allows her to recognize Beatrice as Beatrice no matter what form she’s in. She also engages in repetitive behavior, most notably her chanting of the charm ‘uu-uu.’ On the other hand, her propensity to talk in third person on occasion is really just her being immature and cutesy, mimicking a somewhat younger child’s speech patterns and is something she’s already in the process of growing out of.
Despite communication issues, Maria’s actually very intelligent, especially when it comes to fields that interest her. How many nine year olds can you say have read the Lesser Keys of Solomon? But at the same time, if she doesn’t find something useful or interesting she doesn’t bother to learn it, resulting in Maria having much poorer grades than she ought to.
She’s creative too--wildly creative in fact. As already noted, she has a very active fantasy life. She’s given all her toys very distinct personalities and helped Beatrice create many of the details of the Golden Land. She also collaborated a good deal with Beatrice on the character and appearance of most of her furniture.
She’s loyal, very loyal, even unto death. Most notably, she was the only person in the family proper that Beatrice brought into her schemes prior to the final family conference. It can be hard to win her trust--for one thing, you have to at some point sincerely avow your belief in magic and witches--but once given it endures. (This can be to her detriment, as she’s given that loyalty to Rosa as well.)
She likes to show off and boss people around whenever she gets the chance--which is not often, given how much she’s ignored--and she will absolutely attempt to place herself in a position of authority. Part of her Occult Expert schtick is this--although she really and truly does love the occult, she also takes great pleasure in the fact that she does know more than all the older people around. She likes knowing more than other people. Although part of why she helped Beatrice in her schemes was her undying loyalty to her friend, the pleasure she got in being in on Beatrice’s schemes when everyone else was running around confused also probably helped.
Maria has a tendency to creep people out with her chilling ‘kihihi’ laugh, her occult obsession, and her witchly tendency towards trollfaces. She can be hard to engage when she drops into full occult mode. But when she puts those things aside and allows herself to be a little girl again, she’s very cheerful and enthusiastic. Underneath it all, Maria’s actually a sweet and earnest little girl who wants nothing more than for everyone to have fun.
She really, really loves television.

Character Name: Ardyn Lucis Caelum/'Ardyn Izunia' Series: Final Fantasy XV Timeline: End of Chapter 14 Canon Resource Links:Ardyn, his DLC episode, and Final Fantasy XV in general
Personality: The initial and vital distinction to make before describing Ardyn in any detail is that he is a person whose development can be split into three sections: his past as a healer, his ingame presence as a villain, and the midpoint in between displayed in his own DLC episode.
Healer: In his past as a relatively normal human, Ardyn was intensely selfless to the point of self-destruction. Tasked by the gods with the healing of the Starscourge through divine magic, he accepted his responsibility without question and seemed to take a small amount of pride in carrying out the will of the gods. Taking his role incredibly seriously, he rarely smiled or did much else but act stoic and professional in front of the people he worked to help. Implied but only seen in the novel is a falling-out with his own younger brother over a difference of opinion in how to save the world from the plague, demonstrating that Ardyn took the matter seriously enough to leave both home and his only apparent family entirely to continue his work. More to the point on the 'self-destructive' front; his task to heal the Starscourge was actively causing him agonizing pain and deteriorating his body, but he clearly prioritized the people in need of salvation over his own life with no hesitation or question.
...What I'm saying is he's an incredibly thinly veiled messianic archetype and the only way the comparison would be less subtle would be if his birthday were on Christmas. It's Walpurgisnacht, which isn't much less subtle.
Adagium: In being rejected by the gods, executed by his brother, and sealed away for two millennia, to say Ardyn's mental state took a hit would be an understatement. In his confinement he retreated into his own head, living in his own hallucinations of the past as resentment and hate fueled by the Starscourge built within him. Despite this, when released by Verstael his prevailing emotion seems to be apathy. He's largely indifferent to Verstael, the world, and everyone in it--briefly thinking that just being left alone in Angelgard would have been preferable. While the resentment fostered in his imprisonment is still present, it is also directionless; with Somnus dead, Ardyn finds little point in revenge. He spends several months in Niflheim sleeping; ostensibly as recovery, but it's equally likely he simply felt he had nothing better to do. While he is a barely-human passing avatar of malice and hatred, enough of his original human self remains that though he resents his own mistakes in working so hard to accomplish basically nothing, he won't simply destroy everything indiscriminately in vengeance. At this stage he's very tired and very mentally unwell--he's prone to nightmares and, when under significant stress, outright dissociation and waking hallucinations (both auditory and visual) centering around both Somnus and Aera alike. Ultimately, at that point he wasn't even an open threat at all--while he did in fact kill several of the Crownsguard on the island, it was done in self-defense and also one such hallucination implied a genuine sense of guilt; a spectral version of Somnus taunting Ardyn over having killed an innocent man and Ardyn claiming 'my calling is to save lives, not take them'.
Ardyn Izunia: The tipping point of finally shattering a fractured grasp on sanity lies with Verstael convincing Ardyn to daemonify Ifrit; pushed into seeking power he swears vengeance on the line of Lucis and in sublimating a god Ardyn also sees fragments of memories implying it was he and not Somnus that was chosen. That, specifically, is the point that causes him to utterly snap and decide to take his vengeance on gods, kings, and everything else on the planet. In the years that followed he killed people indiscriminately in order to steal their memories and learn more about the world, as well as contribute to creating Niflheim's magitek and highly unethical cloned daemon army. In his DLC episode preceding the game itself, he proves to be a force even Niflheim can't hope to actually control; he goes rogue on an already violent invasion mission, seeking to kill the then-reigning king and only being stopped by the intervention of both his spectral younger brother as well as Bahamut himself, learning of the prophecy that names Ardyn as nothing but an agent of darkness whose purpose is to suffer as an immortal plague until the true Chosen King can arise and kill him. Depending on player choice, Ardyn either completely gives up and accepts this as an inevitability, or rages against the draconic deity and is summarily harshly punished for the hint of rebellion. (It isn't clearly stated ingame which option is game canon, but the second is explicitly canon to the light novel/alternate timeline.)
Which leads into his role in the game itself: a manipulative chessmaster who orchestrates the fall of both Lucis and Niflheim, kills several named characters either directly or by proxy, and spreads the Starscourge to the point of creating a ten-year-long night over the planet only ended with Noctis defeating Ardyn and sacrificing himself to bring back the light. He is constantly bitter to the point of vicious mockery to everyone around him, ally and enemy alike. His bitterness at having been cast out is projected clearly on those who had nothing to do with it--specifically Noctis more than anyone, being Somnus' identical-looking descendant. Ultimately, it may all just be a decades long lashing out in anger and vengeance, and once the prophesized end does come about Ardyn seems content with the idea. After a fierce final battle in the destroyed streets of the crown city he accepts his defeat quietly, and is eradicated from all existence with little more than a bow to the true Chosen King who saved the world as neither brother could.
Pokémon Information Affiliation: Trainer Starter: Zorua, with the justification that it's thematically fitting; apart from having a heavily black and red aligned color scheme, Ardyn often and repeatedly uses illusions himself to change his form for nefarious purposes. Password: Atomic Fireball

Character Name: Shrike Series: Original Character Timeline: About a month after joining Tetson's army, shortly before the offensive to capture the Kyric territory
Original Character Background:
World
Shrike comes from a fantasy-type world, with general notable features including the presence of magic of the "you have to study the intricacies of how it works to effectively use it" variety as well as plenty of inherently magical beings. Most of the sapient population is humans, but there's a fair few of said magical beings--commonly known collectively as 'fay' of various sorts--who can be quite as intelligent as a human, as well. Technology on the whole superficially resembles Earth's late Middle Ages, but simple magic being relatively commonplace means that overall quality of living is a bit beyond that. At least, in the more civilized and developed parts of the world.
The particular region Shrike hails from is what was formally the Saggrem Empire--an area consisting of temperate fertile valleys and lowlands nestled amongst craggy, forested mountains. Since the collapse of the empire nearly a generation ago, the entire region has become increasingly unstable, with many areas being ruled by assorted independent lords, and many others being largely lawless. It's also highly prone to conflict, as many of the better-established (or simply power-hungry) lords are prone to becoming warlords, attempting to conquer and hold as much territory as possible, though none have come near to reclaiming Saggrem's former full glory.
There are of course other parts of the world beyond this, but Shrike has no experience with them beyond snippets of stories heard or read, and currently there are few to no outside powers taking an interest in the region.
Character History
While Shrike knows very little about his early life with any certainty, a few points are possible to reasonably extrapolate. For one, he was indeed sired by a proper fay, as his striking appearance and other traits simply wouldn't be possible if the fay lineage were any more diluted. For another, his mother was probably a woman who was reasonably well-off, and thus could afford to indulge in the whim of caring for such a peculiar child, at least for a time. His earliest actual memory, however, is a vague recollection of a deep feeling of loss while being taken somewhere unfamiliar, followed by memories of his time at the first of what would be several orphanages.
You see, being fayblood, Shrike is weird. Aside from the obvious physical characteristics, he ages abnormally slow, and possesses an abnormal strength. Between people getting creeped out or just getting tired of caring for a child who won't grow up fast enough, and the inevitable accidents of broken toys, utensils, and bones that will come of a child's typical poor motor control and atypical strength, it would only be a matter of time before the boy was dumped on somebody--anybody--else.
All told, Shrike spent time at three different 'orphanages' of various credibility and repute, and finally found himself at an institution that made no pretensions of such altruism or charity, being straight up a sort of workhouse for children of a certain age and older. This last both offered the most realistic and straightforward expectations, but also the most indifference towards the children's behaviors outside of whatever jobs or apprenticeships they were assigned to. Shrike made the best of it, using whatever small stipend he could save for himself to acquire books and generally furthering his somewhat meager and haphazard education as well as he could. He also kept to himself, having learned the hard way previously that lashing out in pure self-defense would not absolve him of another child's broken nose or arm.
Unfortunately, his solitary habits weren't enough to shield him from the attention of his peers. Between his bizarre appearance and peculiar slow aging, it didn't take long for certain of his peers to find plenty of reason to pick on him any chance they got. Shrike responded by avoiding confrontation as much as possible, and when cornered, simply hunkering down and waiting for his assailant to lose interest. Rather than discourage such things, however, it only seemed to gradually escalate, until finally one day Shrike discovered that someone had found his favorite book in its hiding place under his mattress, and proceeded to hack at the pages crudely with a knife. This was more than he could bear and, clutching the ruined book, he sought out the overseer to plead his case... Who curtly told him to sort the matter out himself.
Realizing just how bad his predicament was, Shrike proceeded to carefully pack up his few personal belongings, leaving behind a note and his current savings for the overseer to cover any outstanding expenses, and fled that night, hoping fervently that no one would be sent after him.
As it happened, either he evaded pursuit, or nobody thought it was worth chasing after him in the first place, as Shrike made a clean getaway. He wandered for the next several months, partially foraging for food, partially doing small for people in villages or farmsteads in exchange for goods or money, all the while heading steadily towards the more sparsely-inhabited mountains region. Eventually he managed to find a cave that was reasonably habitable and hunkered down there, slowly making a crude home for himself while foraging and hunting. Soon he added visiting various scattered farmsteads in the area to that list, albeit always cloaked and hooded, taking whatever he was offered for his help and never lingering.
The first year or so was incredibly rough, but gradually Shrike adapted, to the point where he was even able to make the trek to the nearest town, bringing mountain goods to trade for occasional luxury items like another book. Even so, he had to take care no matter where he was--by now the whole region was embroiled in territorial battles by local warlords, and stumbling into an army would surely spell no good for a vagrant like him. To be sure, every now and then, he'd travel to a farmstead he'd visited previously, only to find it abandoned and ransacked or burned.
Shrike lived this lonesome wilderness life for about three years, until sometime after he turned sixteen, he happened to be paying his rare visit to town at the same time as a detachment from one of those armies. While there, a man approached him who Shrike immediately identified as some sort of warlord. Though Shrike did his best to avoid the encounter, the man was persistent, and insisted on speaking with him, to which the boy coldly asked "Are you here to kill or to kill?" Surprised but not bewildered by the frank question, the man replied that he was "here to put an end to the killing." The two spoke briefly, albeit reluctantly on Shrike's part, then in parting the warlord handed him a bag half-full of baked rolls and, with an apology for not having something more useful, three bronze and one silver coin. Not wanting to feel indebted, Shrike called out a warning to the man that the mountain snowcaps were still melting, and that he shouldn't let his people drown.
That seemed to be the end of it, except that it took little time at all before Shrike's curiosity got the better of him and, throwing caution to the wind, he tracked down the army in question, just to see what would happen. As it did happen, Shrike found a detachment of them--lead by that same warlord himself--hastily retreating from an enemy engagement. After insisting every soldier crossed the newly-reinforced by old and decaying bridge across a swollen river before him, the warlord followed, only for it to abruptly give way under him. His men shouted and began frantically rushing to the riverbanks, but Shrike knew better, and after he was sure he was out of sight rushed to a point downstream he could reach ahead of the current, thanks to a bend in the river's course. Sure enough, he spotted the unconscious warlord's body being tossed in the rapids, and leaping in himself was able to for once make truly good use of his unnatural strength, hauling the man to shore.
This left him with a dilemma, as Shrike could hardly leave him there, but he still felt wary of approaching the soldiers. So instead, he hauled the warlord to his cave home, figuring he could dry out, wake up, and perhaps have some food before returning to his army under his own power. A tidy resolution to such an impulsive act! What he didn't count on, though, was the warlord being far more curious about his rescuer upon awakening than desperate to get back to his men. The two exchanged words, the warlord not bothering to hide his intense curiosity, until a sudden movement caused Shrike's hood to fall and his fayblood features to be plainly visible. To his astonishment though the warlord did not react with disgust or fear or anything of the sort, but if anything merely seemed thoughtful.
Then he asked Shrike to come with him. Explaining that he could use the help of someone who knew the area so well, and pointing out that it was necessary to defeat the belligerents in order to make the land peaceful once more for everyone else, he eventually persuaded the boy. He then properly introduced himself--he was Tetson, lord of Uttwar, also called the Warchief by his followers. When the boy declined to give his own name, Tetson called him Shrike after noticing a scavenged harrow being used as a makeshift meat-smoking rack.
And so Shrike joined Tetson's army, acting primarily as a local guide familiar with the regional terrain. Even after a month or so he still keeps mostly to himself, but in interest of wanting to earn his keep has been assisting the quartermaster and in the process learning about logistics. This is the current state of affairs, with the army preparing for its next major assault, upon Shrike's arrival in game.
Personality: First of all, Shrike is incredibly shy. His fay parentage has left him with numerous plainly visible indicators of it, and people tend to react warily of him at best upon seeing what he is. As such, he strongly prefers not to be seen, avoiding interacting closely with people if he can help it and keeping himself as covered up as possible when he does. And not to mention, this avoidance means he's a bit lack in chances to develop normal social skills, which merely further adds to the awkwardness and shyness... To say nothing of a general sense of poor self-esteem.
Needless to say, Shrike also isn't especially trusting of people, usually falling back on the assumption that they will act in their own self-interest or gain. He doesn't think negatively of people for this, but it means that he's unwilling to open up to others, instead keeping distant. As such, he can unintentionally come across as very aloof even when he's genuinely curious about someone or something.
He is, however, very intelligent. He's a fast learner, and despite having only a spotty education at best, was able to effectively teach himself by acquiring books to learn from. This notably includes learning the basics of magecraft, allowing him to enchant his hood to cast his face into shadow, create simple mage-lights for his cave home, and trade performance of simple helpful spells to local farmers in exchange for needed goods. Additionally, while Shrike might avoid interacting with people, he's still a good observer and thus not too terrible a judge of character.
Shrike is also fairly gentle and kind. He hates fighting, and his own unusual strength has made him extremely cautious about avoiding hurting others by accident. His anger at the warlords who occasionally brought their armies through the area was largely based on seeing how the local farmerfolk suffered because of it; Shrike may not bother retaliating against someone who's wronged him personally, but is quick to be upset by others coming to harm. And while so far he's not been particularly close to anyone for it to be tested, it's likely that his reactions would be even worse if a person he did care about were hurt.
Those major points aside, whether it's because of his upbringing or due to his fay heritage, Shrike has a few other, minor quirks as well. First, he cannot stand the idea of being indebted to someone, but will insist on trying to do or give something in return, though he's less inclined to demand others repay him. Second, he's a very poor liar and generally doesn't even try to at all, giving partial answers or more often simply refusing to say anything if there's something he doesn't want to say or admit. And finally, he dislikes giving out his name. "Shrike" is not his original name, which is a name he's to date never told anyone. It's possible this might change if he came to trust someone enough, but so far that has yet to occur.

Victory Road Sample: Shrike was not the kind of person to panic easily. Whether it was quietly enduring bullying for years, or struggling to find his way alone through a mountain forest at night, he was usually able to keep his feelings in check and get through whatever the problem was before finding someplace safe and alone to vent. But suddenly finding himself in an unfamiliar place--somehow inside a house, at that!--with a complete stranger acting very, well, strangely, and not a single idea where he was or how he'd gotten there? Well, suffice it to say he'd bolted out of there so quickly it's a wonder he didn't leave a cloud of dust in his wake.
Once safely outside, catching his breath in the shadow of another building a short distance away, he attempted to take stock of the situation. The last thing he could recall was that he'd been returning to the quartermaster after running an errand, then he was abruptly no longer in Tetson's army's camp, but, well, wherever here is. No warning, no sign he'd notice of any spells... A thought struck him at that, and he held out a hand in front of him, muttering a simple incantation.
Nothing happened. After staring dumbfounded at his palm for a second or two, Shrike clutched at his hood, pulling it down and forward in front of his face where he could see the underside. No, there was no sign of the enchantment that was supposed to be there, either. He grimaced to himself as he let the hood slide back into position, but at least he did still have that much. An ordinary, unenchanted hood was still far better than nothing.
He stood there in the building's shadow for several more long minutes, trying to decide what in the world he was supposed to do now. Finally, he let out a small sigh. He'd been on his own plenty in the past, even before he'd finally fled to make his way alone he'd hardly ever had much by way of companions, let alone friends. Just because he'd gotten used to having meals and a bed provided for him in the month with Tetson's army didn't mean he couldn't fend for himself if he had to.
So, he started with the bag. He still wasn't sure about keeping it as he hadn't known why he was handed it in the first place, but seeing what's inside wouldn't hurt, at least. There were some pretty standard-looking supplies, clothes and some food and such, a most peculiar-looking object he couldn't yet make heads or tails of, and several brightly-colored red and white balls. Shrike reached for one of the latter, wanting to take a closer look, but no sooner had he taken it out when it snapped open, releasing some kind of light.
Shrike made a small sound of surprised and jumped back, dropping bag and ball both as he did so. Luckily, the bag missed the spot where the light from the ball landed... and coalesced into a very peculiar creature that seemed to stuck half-hatched from its egg. To say that Shrike was dumbfounded would be putting it lightly, but before he could react the creature spotted him and with a cheerful pi! waddled over. Shrike looked around, but either nobody had noticed, or no one seemed to think any of this was noteworthy. Meanwhile, the creature had crossed the short distance between them and was attempting to grasp at his leg with its diminutive arms. Carefully, Shrike crouched down and held out a hand, which the small thing happily clambered on to.
"Guess I gotta make sure nothing happens to you either..." Shrike muttered, carefully lifting the small creature. Another thing to deal with, but he'd muddle through somehow or another.
Personality: Ardbert has been through a lot in both his life and afterlife. More than someone should ever have to go through at least and it shows! Both in how he carries himself and how he speaks. Like an old wistful soul at the end of it's journey.
But let's back up a bit. During his life Ardbert was an adventurer and would go on to be a hero to his world. His old comrades would describe him as a kind and trusting soul, a sweet guy with a heart overflowing with love for those he holds dear. They didn't lie! He is absolutely someone who puts others needs before his own and would never hesitate to help someone no matter if how big or small the problem was. He was also a bit of a go-getter, which netted him the position of leader in his group. He knew when he had to be tough and when to joke around to ease in group fighting. Personality wise he could be a little rough around the edges in his manner of speech, but he knew when he had to be strict and when he could lighten up and joke around.
Unfortunately his days of adventuring wouldn't end well for him. Despite his groups best intentions, they quite literally were too good at being heroes. To explain shortly, along their journey they learned of a secret mastermind responsible for a lot of nefarious deeds in their realm. Spoilers: It was one of their companions who had been manipulating them this entire time. This is where Ardbert's boundless love would be his downfall. Simply put their companion's evil plan was to make all these adventurers into "Warriors of Light" and in the end Ardbert would be needed to slay them for the job to be done. Ultimately though he refused to kill his dear friend and this one choice (and the subsequent hunt and murder of the real manipulators) doomed his entire world and very nearly killed everyone.
Everything just gets worse from there. Him and his party are tricked again in their desperation. He had to kill all of his comrades and then had to take his own life to travel to another world. They do manage to stall the destruction of their own world in the end, but to do so required his party to sacrifice what remained of their life energy and souls- yet out of his party he was the only denied his willing sacrifice.
Afterwards he was left as a ghost, doomed to wander his world on the brink of destruction for 100 years. Having to suffer watching civilizations start to curse him and and his friends names and having to endure intense isolation with his own suffocating guilt. That all of his choices and decisions lead to that outcome.
That being said, things do get better for him in his afterlife. The main character, the Warrior of Light, does eventually come to his world and through plot reasons is the only character who can see and hear him. Through watching the Warrior of Light fight for his world is he able to come to terms with the state he's left in and slowly but surely he was able to cut through his gloom to find hope again. Enough hope to hand the reins over to the Warrior of Light and merge their souls together to help in the final battle.
To wrap this up, since this is a personality section, at his core Ardbert is still the caring, kind and trusting adventurer he was starting out. He's grown a bit more rough and not just in his manner of speech as the years have gone by just through worldly experience and some pretty traumatic events. He legit still has a lot of issues. His death fucked him up, the near end of his world fucked him up, and even though things are resolved he probably will always carry guilt and regret for how things wound up happening. But he's found hope again in the Warrior of Light and has a new adventure to go on, a new cause to support- even if he's now just a brain ghost taking a back seat in the Warrior of Lights body. He cares again.

[It was strange being back here again, as if he had unlocked a flood of memories all at once even though so much time had passed back in his own world. It was actually sort of a relief? Like a much needed vacation almost. There was just one problem. This wasn't his body and he was pretty sure this bird wasn't his Pokemon. There was no way he could forget the terror that was his Purrserker.
One benefit to being here before though meant he was already familiar with the technology and he was quick this time to go to it. As soon as he was given the chance after being shoo'd out into the starting town, he dug out his pokegear and turned on the camera. The feed was greeted by a scraggly looking man who desperately looked like he either just needed a good shower or a haircut and a shave.]
So I've ah, I've been here before right? I can't say how long I've been gone, but I remember this place.
[He looks over to the Rufflet he had out, currently sitting on his shoulder and tilting it's head at the pokegear.]
This isn't my Pokemon though. Does anyone know what happens to Pokemon after their trainer leave?

Character Name: Llewellyn "Louie" Duck Series: DuckTales Timeline: Post-"The Last Adventure" Canon Resource Links:DuckTales Wiki page
Personality: The series starts with Louie as a child con-artist. He's very clever, especially for his age. As his uncle points out, he can see all the angles of a situation and use that information to best approach it. However, Louie is also very lazy and, especially early on in the series, tends to look for the easy path. He wants to be as wealthy as Scrooge, but he doesn't see himself following the same roads to get there. Working hard? Earning it square? Waiting until he's older? No thank you! Over the course of the series, Louie makes many attempts to get rich quick with low effort schemes - most of which are morally gray, such as going back in a time machine to take treasures that were later lost to time, or teaming up with Goldie O'Gilt as his fake aunt to get ridiculously valuable party favors from the birthday of a peer he can't even stand. Considering what a sharp thinker and bright kid he is, it sure takes Louie a while to realize that he can't just cheat his way to wealth - or at least, that that's not who he wants to be. After nearly losing his family in said time machine scheme and then being hunted by a monster as a result of his love for money, though, Louie learns humility. He still wants to be rich, and he's still lazy, but he becomes willing to put in the work for the money he desires, and to do it with scruples he previously lacked. And now he schemes for good causes, be that saving the world with his family, or helping Donald's band get their big break.
Louie is rather guarded and cynical, at least as children go. This has decreased over the course of the series, but he's still more likely to be suspicious than trusting. He assumes the worst a lot, and the worst tends to scare him - Louie is not brave, though he does feel that "greed beats fear." He doesn't show his emotions very readily, at least, not his more sensitive ones. Generally, Louie is either sporting a laidback attitude or - if he's on a big adventure - panicking about danger. But just because he doesn't like to show his softer side, that doesn't mean it's not there. Quite the contrary, in fact. We get our first big glimpse of Louie being emotional when he and Huey learn that their brother Dewey was keeping secrets about their mother from them. Louie doesn't react angrily to finding out - as Huey does. Instead, he gets quiet and withdrawn - he's been hurt, and he reacts with sadness. And when that mother returns to the boys' lives, it's Louie who struggles the most with the change; unsure how to approach suddenly having a mom.
And his way with words goes beyond being able to talk his way out of trouble, too. As the series progresses, Louie is quite often someone who will offer a heartfelt pep talk to boost someone up, as he does with the other kids in the series finale. He gives support when its needed, and needs the support himself- The season two premiere focused on how Louie wasn't sure how he contributed in the family, and the distress that brought him. It's interesting to note that while Louie is still a schemer in many ways, a search for a magic sword in season three leads to the discovery that his hidden, inner strength is the truth. He may not be inclined towards full honesty, even now, but being sincere can help him shine. Louie may have his sights set on being a successful businessman, and he certainly has a unique skillset that could help him get there one day. But he's also come to be aware that he's not ready to be wealthy, and is ready to take some time just to be a normal preteen now... Even if, in his family, "normal" means something a little different.
Pokémon Information Affiliation: Trainer Starter: Aloan Meowth Password: Atomic Fireball
Victory Road Sample: Louie figured, if he had to take care of weird companion creatures - sorry, Pokemon - he could have started with something far worse than Meowth. The little guy wasn't as temperamental and scary as some of the other Pokemon they'd encountered, and he was basically a cat, which appealed to Louie! He'd named him Shilling, because he sure seemed to take pride in that coin on his head, and they'd set off on, apparently, some kind of journey that was considered normal for children to take by themselves here!
Honestly, that part wasn't too unusual to Louie. He was used to starting with supervision on his adventures, but he'd still been in over his head before, with or without adults. But this journey involved a lot of walking and training Shilling, neither of which Louie was crazy about. This wasn't even normal pet training, not that Shilling seemed to mind the scrapes he got into. He - unlike Louie - was a daring little fighter.
They were heading down a dirt road toward the next town after New Bark- Louie could finally see buildings in the distance; man they were going slow, judging by others' reports. That was okay by Louie, who liked to stop and relax often, but Shilling? Shilling seemed constantly ready for the next bit of excitement. Today, as evening came around, that excitement came in the form of a rather bold Hoothoot that refused to leave Louie alone. It just kept following him and hooting angrily, expectantly even, and no amount of sweet-talking was going to get this bird-thing to leave him alone.
With a sigh, Louie pulled Shilling's Pokeball out of his bag. "Alright, have it your way," he muttered to the Hoothoot as he let his Alolan Meowth out of its resting spot. It hooted again, particularly shrill this time, and Shilling's ears pulled back as he hissed back at it. Louie wasn't worried. Shilling had one every battle so far, or - when he couldn't - Louie had gotten them out of the trouble before anything serious happened.
This time, however, was different. The Hoothoot attacked more aggressively than anything they'd met with so far. Usually, Louie had barely had to give Shilling any orders, and things worked out one way or the other... Maybe that was the problem. Maybe he needed to be more proactive for Shilling to grow stronger- Well, if he was responsible for this creature now, then so be it. It was time to start thinking tactically, here.

Personality: Dandy is not a role model, despite what his ego might try to tell him. Described as a "dandy guy in space", that somehow translates to "a big oaf who spends the majority of his time lusting after women". That's it, the biggest key factor to Dandy's personality is that he loves women, or rather he loves their bodies and has absolutely no shame in that. Constantly spouting nonsense about breasts and rears, it's almost as if he goes out of his way to show off how obnoxious he is. We never get a reason for where this love stems from, in fact we never get any sort of backstory on Dandy at all.
To no one's surprise, Dandy is therefore a huge fan of the Hooters-like space restaurant, "BooBies". He made it his goal to visit every location the chain has to offer and dreams of buying out the franchise one day. In fact, it seems like the only reason why he has a job to begin with is so he can afford to visit as much as he wants. Outright stating that he'd rather die than miss out on BooBies, Dandy has declared that no one can keep him from the restaurant against his will. In fact, it seems to be his best driving factor. If any situation can end with "you get to go to BooBies after this", then Dandy will do anything in his power to get the job done. So of course it only makes sense to send him into a game where the chain doesn't exist.
Somewhat of a free spirit, Dandy likes to live his life by going with the flow and not sweating the small stuff. It's pretty simple-minded how he views life, where he can do anything he wants because he's an adult with money, and that he's a super cool guy because he travels SPACE and hunts for super rare ALIENS. Thankfully most people don't agree with this, but that doesn't seem to deflate his self image. He doesn't care what other people think of him provided their opinions aren't harming him physically. You'd be surprised how many empires you're unaware of that want you dead for reasons unknown to you. Due to some kind of blessing, Dandy at least follows the law to a somewhat-decent degree, so his "my way or the highway" lifestyle is seen only as a big annoyance than anything harmful. He has outright stated in canon that if he wants to do something, he's going to do it. If he doesn't want to do something? He's not going to do it. That's the Dandy way of life.
The Dandy way of life also likes to throw out the "go with the flow" rule out the window once someone bruises his pride. Once someone or something threatens Dandy's ego, whether by actually being successful or gaining more attention from women, Dandy loses his cool, holds extreme grudges, and declares said someone or something his rival. He will then do everything in his power to prove himself the better person, because what else are you supposed to do? The best example of this is with a famous racer named Prince, who shows up at BooBies, grabs all the waitresses' attention, and effectively causes them to completely ignore Dandy. Without much thought, Dandy then declares himself a racer (In fact, he claims to have been one all along!) and enters the Galactic Grand Prix to one up a complete stranger. Due to his...unusual tactics, Dandy was actually able to give Prince a run for his money. Of course, this is Space Dandy so the race didn't end in any normal fashion, but if you were to ask him, Dandy would definitely say he won in the end. And then probably "baby."
Friendship is definitely something Dandy seems to struggle with, it's like he can't make friends unless you're willing to put up with his antics. And that's not even considering if he likes you in return, you could offer him your kindness in the nicest way possible and he'd still act like a complete asshole if there's something he doesn't like about you. Dandy's only "friends" appear to be his "crew", his vacuum cleaner robot named QT and a cat-like alien he calls Meow. Meow isn't even his real name, Dandy just couldn't be assed to learn how to pronounce it, thus giving him a nickname. That really goes to show you just how much Dandy cares about other people, especially the ones who he has to deal with on a daily basis. Dandy doesn't seem to like Meow much at all, constantly stating that he's lazy, a mooch, and a useless member of the team. He finds joy in purposely upsetting him, an example being visiting his family against his wishes. If anything, that just pushed Dandy into doing it even more. The more extreme example would be his lack of interest in saving Meow's life when he was eaten by a giant monster. QT explained that Meow could still very well be alive, but Dandy continued to fly off in his ship already "mourning" Meow's loss. It was only until QT reminded Dandy that Meow was also the one holding his BooBies point card that Dandy flew back to do battle with the monster.
Compared to Meow, Dandy treats QT much better, and in fact QT could very well be Dandy's only true friend. Although it seems like QT gets just as annoyed with Dandy's antics as anyone else, constantly pointing out his contradictions and poor ideas, he still stays with him regardless. This could possibly be because QT's a robot and Dandy owns him in some way, whether through purchase or other means, it's never stated. There is some sense of kindness in their relationship, though, as QT has stated that he's terribly outdated and yet Dandy still keeps him anyway. Getting another, better model doesn't even look like an option, hinting at some sort of sentimental value. On the other end of the spectrum, this is still Dandy and thus he doesn't treat QT with as much respect one normally would a friend. For example, during a zombie invasion, Dandy used QT as a shield, claiming that robots couldn't "catch zombie" and therefore it was completely okay. Never mind QT's objections or anything. ...It also turned out that Dandy was wrong.
As the series progresses, we later find out that Dandy actually cares for his two friends a lot more than he lets on. In one episode, Dandy discovers the two have been petrified and immediately becomes enraged over this, stating he wouldn't be able to smile ever again with his friends like that. This is the first time we ever hear Dandy actually call them his friends and it's interesting that it's happening during a time where Meow and QT can't hear him. He then proceeds to go out of his way to try and change them back, which involved surfing on time itself and it was all very strange, but nonetheless showed his devotion to his pals.
The more vocal of his nicer traits is his love for animals. Or animals that aren't going to eat him, anyway. He adores dogs to the point of tears, all it takes is looking into their big ol' eyes. He honestly can't understand how anyone could hate a dog, just the idea can infuriate him. He will pet and love on for hours on end and play with them like he's ten years old. On the sadder side of things, if a dog dies, he will take it pretty hard and mourn to extreme levels. Extreme, as in, he will build them a rocket out of scrap and give them a proper space funeral. Besides dogs, Dandy has expressed that he "loves birds" and has been seen absentmindedly petting Meow until he remembers he hates him again.
With other people in general, it's a little different. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to how fast Dandy can get to care about someone, but so far he seems to be a sucker for sob stories. The fastest he's ever shown compassion was when he met an older alien trapped in another dimension, which he affectionately referred to as "Pops", and invited him aboard his ship after hearing his tale of loss. Pops declines in the end, but it's still somewhat of a big deal as Dandy very rarely offers people a place on his ship. Where as Adélie, a young human-like alien child Dandy was set on bringing to the registration center for big money, slowly grew on him over time. Their relationship starts off rocky, Dandy even outright stating that he hates kids and that Adélie was no exception. As time went on, Dandy learns how the little girl was on her own since her mother passed away and slowly finds himself getting attached, even taking the time to stop at carnivals and such for her. He then spends an entire night searching for her grandfather and then helps protect her from other, less friendly alien hunters. Eventually, once everything is settled, he lets her go with her grandfather without having to stop by the registration center despite all the money he'd be losing. Considering Dandy's love of money as it's his ticket into BooBies and how difficult it is to score big bucks when it comes to alien hunting, this is a huge deal for him and shows just how much he's willing to care. Just...don't expect it often.
When it comes to actually showing affection towards people, Dandy is much more subtle about it than he is with animals. He will never actually state out loud that he cares about someone, instead he rather show it through his actions. Anything from buying presents to taking them out, all the way to risking his neck out for someone, just don't expect Dandy to spell it out for you. In fact, he might still try to make you believe that he doesn't care while proving the exact opposite through his actions. Why Dandy chooses to hide this softer side is never given.
Dandy also has a number of hobbies and interests that factor into his personality. The most obvious one is his love for Hawaii, seen in the way he names his ships, decorates his interior, and his strong passion for surfing. He's also a giant child and has a toys scattered throughout his ship and get excited over things like carnivals and video games. He's been noted to be into popular "geeky" fandoms such as Star Wars and Chuck Norris movies (the cartoon comes up specifically). A little less embarrassing, he's very talented vocally and has had huge musical numbers at least twice in the series, including releasing a one hit wonder.
The biggest surprise ends up being just how smart Dandy really is. You really wouldn't think someone like him would understand something as big as physics, but Dandy has a very deep understanding of how the universe works. Or rather, he understands how warping works, which involves interdimensional travel. Of course, he's still Dandy, so if he ever does have to explain anything, he might use stuffed animals in his examples.
All in all, Dandy is a complex person who's very hard on the outside, but soft on the inside. He wants to come off as cool, mean and aggressive, but can't always hide his need to pet something soft or help someone who really needs it.
Pokémon Information Affiliation: Trainer Starter: Deino (Reapping and taking that level 30 deal) Reasoning: I'm looking to parallel Dandy's whole "most powerful being in the universe" thing. Dandy's body is composed of a powerful particle called pyonium, which allows him to do things as extraordinary as destroy and rebuild universes. The thing is, Dandy himself is normally unaware/doesn't care/simply forgets about this, and it often goes ignored until outside forces trigger it. In relation to his pokemon, the idea is that even though he's starting with one that can evolve into something with devastating power (Hydreigon especially in this case, since it's always noted to destroy everything in its Pokedex entries), Dandy being himself has no plans of evolving his little critter. Mostly for stupid Dandy-style reasons like how chicks dig cute animals, more mouths means spending more money on food, etc. The joke is he has this pokemon that COULD become a pseudo-legendary, but he would rather goof off and play with it and style its hair instead. Password: Atomic Fireball
[The hustle and bustle of Goldenrod is a great place to try and sell crap, especially since things happen so fast, you could probably trick someone into thinking they're getting a deal of a lifetime. That's what Dandy's hoping for while he tries to gather up anyone willing to listen to him.
See, catching pokemon is a lot like alien hunting when you really think about it, and it's about time he put his skillset to use and make some real money off of it. People like rare aliens, people like rare pokemon, in the end, nothing really changes.]
Hey, check it, you interested in rare pokemon? Ever wanna strut around town with something no one's ever seen before? Then may I direct your attention to...THIS?!
[Dandy points dramatically to his little set up, complete with...something "caged" in what looks like an upside down laundry basket. Two of his pokemon, a frisky looking deino who chomps at any fingers that get too close and a very worried skuntank who looks like she wants to be anywhere but there, guard whatever it is Dandy's trying to sell. A large book is the only thing keeping the basket at bay, well that and the threat of getting tackled by a deino.
Said basket does a very poor job of concealing the helpless creature within. It's clearly an oddish with what appears to be construction paper taped to its face in a poor attempt to disguise it. Poor thing probably had no idea what was in store for it when this strange pompadoured man caught it. It probably had dreams, goals of its very own. The least Dandy could do is trade it away, the heartless monster!]
One of a kind, baby. Maybe some kinda funky variant, who knows. So! Any takers?
[In a past life, Dandy was probably a magikarp salesman...]

Character Name: Mina Ashido Series: My hero Academia Timeline: End of season 4 Canon Resource Links:Wikia
Personality: Mina Ashido is a girl that hails from a world where humans are born with superpowers ("Quirks") and heroes exist everywhere. People wish to be Superheroes, for it brings a lot of nice perks, but they are also raised to believe being a Hero and defending people is the best thing you can be. Mina too was born with a Quirk, and she too wishes to be a Hero to protect and help others. Just like it happens with other characters from this canon, Mina's quirk sort of shaped her personality a bit. She's able to produce acid and that, not only it's a strong power, but also very flashy, thus Mina is too the flashy sort of person.
She is very outgoing, optimistic, friendly and extrovert, and since always she has been a straight-forward and confident person, which made her very popular among other people her age. She is incredibly cheerful and most of the time seen with a smile, and she is very excitable and hardly holds back showing her emotions. Mina is an extremely positive person, which is considered a very good trait for a future hero.
It's no wonder people like her. She is very caring towards her friends, often displaying a very laid-back way of dealing with them, but keeping in mind things they enjoy too; when Mineta was distraught he wouldn't be able to participate in the class' musical number, Mina immediately suggested a way to give him some spotlight. This type of personality even allows her to turn foes into friends, but also gives her a certain confidence not many would have. She is courageous, and will stand up against bullies and for others without much of a thought, stepping in to protect those who need it even when she might be scared or even when her life might be on the line. In the end, she is a natural hero.
A girl her age (with this type of personality) will be excited about more girly things too. She loves romance and even though she might not always be right (or she might be a bit too curious about other people's romantic lives), she doesn't hold back when it comes to making assumptions and talking about them out loud. She enjoys cute things and naturally love is cute too. She will get very excited about the things she likes and enjoys, and sometimes she must be reminded to tone it down a little. However, Mina tries not to be too pushy and will apologize if she's in the wrong or when she goes too far, willing to accept those situations without feeling like her pride was hurt. In fact, she is capable of apologizing for her mistakes regardless of the situation, as long she is made aware of them (or she realizes them herself).
Sadly, she isn't great at her studies, being one with the worst grades in her class (the is at the bottom two, yeah); she goofily laughs about it, which she does simply because she is no good at this sort of thing and she knows that. But deep down, it does make her anxious and frustrated, which is why she readily accepted help from Momo. If Mina has the proper tutoring, she will show dedication and will even manage to pass her exams (though she will never be the best). Still, Mina is often viewed as an airhead and may get too excited or too distracted by less important things; she is a bit too impulsive in all of her excitement and doesn't take a moment to think harder about what is happening as shown during her exam.
However, where she is lacking in intelligence, Mina makes up for with her physical capabilities and is one of the most athletic girls in her class. She is also efficient when using her quirk despite still learning to fully control it, and her technique is pretty good; that means she knows how to use her quirk effectively within its limits, and she knows how to work around those limits without going beyond them. In other words, she is very natural with her powers and knows them very well, which is hard for people who are still learning.
To aid her, she is also an amazing dancer, which shows she has great control over her body. And those dance skills came to her aid more than once! Mina is the type of person who would rather not be too confrontational, and if needed, she will try to solve situations with some "out of the box" reasoning, such as getting everyone to breakdance, for example. Still related to her dancing skills, Mina is also a very good teacher, capable of turning even the most awkward person into a skillful dancer. She can be a bit bossy when taking the role of the teacher, but it comes to show how seriously Mina takes that hobby of hers, as it makes her so happy.
And finally, Mina is flashy. Her appearance, not just due to her quirk, but also the way she physically shows herself to others: Mina uses bright colors, unafraid to be seen, she stands proudly, unafraid to be noticed, and she speaks loud and clear, unfair to be heard.

Character Name: Yasuhiro Hagakure Series: Danganronpa Timeline: Post-DR1, pre-DR3: Future Arc Canon Resource Links:Game Wiki, Character Wiki
Personality: (cw: minor death and attempted murder mentions)
Of his class, Hagakure is the most laid back character, with his faults overlooked early on due to his overly friendly nature. That doesn't, however, change the fact that he is cowardly, slow-witted, and rather greedy. He willfully lives his life in ignorance of inconvenient situations, preferring to take a passive role with his surroundings if he considers them to be a pain to deal with. Not only selfish, but lazy too—Hagakure is unreliable, and uncaring of his personal care. Often, he'll oversleep and miss important events or meetings; with naps being his favorite thing, right next to money and alcohol. Not just that, but when he does show up, it's often in a poor state of dress. Hagakure alters even his uniforms by rolling his trousers up, and refuses to wear anything but sandals wherever he goes. He also refuses to bathe, and washes his hair no more than once per season simply because "it's a hassle".
Most of his hardships stem in part from his cowardice, and from how poorly he manages money. Not only has he admitted that he has no problem fighting women or children (unless they look strong), he will also spend exorbitant amounts on things that he has admitted he doesn't even use for his fortune telling profession (such as a crystal ball that's actually made of glass). Hagakure has no issue with scamming people out of hundreds, if not thousands of of dollars to cover his own big spending; with his attempts to trick others into taking on his massive debts earning him the attention of crime organizations who actively try to hunt him down. Surprisingly, Hagakure does have a good chunk of money saved, and could easily pay off his debt—but rather than solving his problems so easily, he's much more content to run and hoard the wealth as his supposed "retirement fund".
One would think though, that as a fortune teller, Hagakure would be a lover of the occult—but you couldn't be any more wrong. Despite his talent and profession, he actually hates the occult—refusing to believe in things like magic, tarot, and other methods that would commonly be associated with the practice. Instead, he boasts that his clairvoyance is directly tied to numerology, comparing it to more of a science and intuition-based precognition. Funnily enough, while Hagakure is a stringent denier of "all" things occult, he is a firm believer in things such as aliens, cryptids, guardian spirits, and even ghosts—the last of which he bears a near-phobia of. When he feels a ghost nearby, Hagakure is prone to reciting chants and begging for help from gods, heroes, and even celebrities.
But despite all of his mounting flaws, Hagakure is—at heart—a good person. While being held back four times through middle and high school, he worked hard to help support his single mother whom he's very close to. He is selfish and cowardly, but when confronted with the possibility that he might have killed someone, he takes full responsibility for his actions. He would much rather help others solve problems than watch them suffer alone, and he always seems to show concern for his friends when they're in trouble, even sticking his neck out just to rescue them when they need it. When it comes down to it, Hagakure can even be considered somewhat dependable—such as when he dismantled a robot, to help his friends solve the mystery of a fellow student's death, and when he rewired an antennae to receive radio signals from the outside world when trapped. He has the tenacity to survive all sorts of situations, despite when the odds are stacked against him.

Character Name: Maya Fey Series: Ace Attorney Trilogy + Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright Timeline: end of game, just before leaving Labyrinthia Canon Resource Links: Maya on the Ace Attorney Wiki and Professor Layton wikis
Personality: (Cw: minor descriptions of violence, murder, and familial abuse) In a game about solving murder cases and proving your defendants innocent, things can get rather heavy. Maya Fey, sister of Phoenix Wright’s mentor Mia Fey, provides a glimmer of sunshine in situations that could otherwise be intensely frustrating. Maya Fey is a nearly unstoppable force and an incredible sidekick. While sometimes naïve, childish, and clumsy, she can also be incredibly clever. Phoenix and Maya think about things very differently, thus allowing them to see almost every possibility when they work together. It’s a good thing, too; where Phoenix might miss something, Maya is almost always sure to pick it up.
She is a little immature, and much like the rest of the cast, a huge dork. Maya enjoys samurai movies and ‘kid shows’, as well as collecting trading cards from those shows. She loves to investigate and cause minor trouble, and often teases Phoenix with ‘criminal’ ideas. Maya loves things, and that’s important; what Maya likes, Maya is passionate about. Whether it’s food or being a medium, or people who are important to her, Maya is a passionate girl with a fiery spirit and a bit of an attitude to keep up with Phoenix. Maya also has an absolutely voracious appetite. She often jokes about having four stomachs; one for burgers, one for steaks, one for sweets, and one for all the other things she could eat. She jokes about a lot of things, in fact, and sometimes does so seemingly only to give Phoenix grief. Her curiosity, voracity, and stubborn persistence liken her to a juvenile cat; not quite a baby, but still pushing her nose into everything even if it might burn her paws. Maya certainly isn’t afraid to get burnt, either; she’ll do what she can, even if she regrets it afterward. If anything, she certainly can’t stay down for long-- Maya seems nigh incapable of holding a grudge or staying down for the count. Only when things are weighing down on her after believing she is not able to help Edgeworth, who she has come to see as a friend through Phoenix, does she feel down on herself for quite a while.
This, however, is where Maya Fey becomes most incredible. Maya’s deepest love is for other people and she can consider people friends even only after days of meeting them. She feels genuine joy for their successes and sorrow for their downfalls, and is incredibly empathetic. She is the one who is most enthusiastic about Phoenix’s new position as head of the law office, even if he is replacing the job of Maya’s deceased sister. Maya is the one to risk herself being in contempt of court when Lotta Hart’s testimony isn’t adding up and the Judge and prosecutor Von Karma refuse to listen to Phoenix, and shows no remorse about being sent to the detention center for a second time. It’s Maya who, when Prosecutor Von Karma threatens Phoenix and Maya with an over-charged tazer, jumps in front of Phoenix in attempts to grab the evidence Von Karma is stealing and give Phoenix enough time to run before Von Karma can attack him as well. Maya Fey may be clumsy, curious, and immature, but it’s her strong, golden heart that makes her such a great assistant and eventually, a grand mystic.
Even to the end of the series, Maya's behaviour can easily be misinterpreted as a lack of competence or ability to become the Master of Kurain. This, however, is exactly what her aunt believed and exactly completely incorrect. Maya's behaviour often appears to be immature, but in reality she simply has a different way of dealing with things. She may often seem scatterbrained and make people wonder how she even remembers to brush her teeth at night without a mother or sister to scold her into it, but the reality is, Maya has spent many years without a mother to watch over her and many years with her sister gone to study. She doesn't always act like an adult and she doesn't always do what she is expected to do or what is considered her responsibility, but in the end she will always come through. Though she seems so strange in behaviour, she does her best to stay strong and supportive of those close to her.
In addition to this observation, one should also recognise that Maya has always had significant reasons not to want to become master of Kurain. To do so would be to admit that her mother and sister are both gone forever, and by the end of game three her position as future master is what is getting her targeted so much. It's perfectly reasonable for Maya to want a normal life, so it's no surprise that after the trial for the murderer of her mother, Maya mentions no longer wanting to be associated with the Fey name. However, once again, Maya pulls through. Being sad isn't a sign of a lack of strength, after all; the fact that Maya always pulls herself back up is what stands as the hallmark of her fortitude. Her childish demeanour and sunny outlook do not prevent her from being a competent person or potential leader; in fact, it's Maya's personality that could very well be the starting point for Kurain Village returning to its former glory. Her energy, ease of making connections, and strength will easily guide her through her status as the master of Kurain.
As Maya progresses through Professor Layton versus Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney (assumed by most to take place after Trials and Tribulations), her growth as an adult is even more evident. She's somewhat less klutzy and almost all of her comedic mishaps seem to be intentional-- either to get Phoenix's (and Professor Layton's) goat or to keep her friends from getting too down on themselves. She's a force of optimism and care, being kind, comforting, and uplifting to the game's main character Espella, and somewhat constructively dealing with Espella's evident symptoms of disassociation.
The game also solidified two other points; the first being that Maya is very private about dealing with her own pain. Though she may cry for others or for petty things in front of people, when she has a tough internal problem, she tends to try to deal with that pain herself. She is found by Luke Triton in the middle of the night, cleaning (doing chores!) as she ponders the significance of her false memories from her adventure, and is shown to be very affected by the problem once Luke coaxes the truth from her. The second poin is that Maya does see herself as an adult and recognizes her own responsibility despite her antics. When Luke invites her out to look for the missing cat after the aforementioned scenario, Luke remarks that he will protect her and keep her safe in the night. Maya answers (to herself more than to Luke) something along the lines of, "But, I'm the adult here… isn't that my job?" and very subtly keeps Luke on track through the adventure. Though Maya never compromises on her playful personality, she is still very capable of making sure to use it to keep her friends on track in ways they might not even notice-- whether it's keeping Phoenix on his toes to make sure he doesn't fall into his lethargic ways or gently teasing Pearl to teach her lessons without getting strict with her the way Morgan does.

Character Name: Licorice Cookie Series: Cookie Run: Kingdom Timeline: Post Hall of Enlightenment Canon Resource Links:Wiki linki
More or less he was a cookie that's never been recognized for his magical talents, possibly because he has a terrible personality and no one wants to deal with him. It's never stated exactly why no one gave him his due recognition, but because of it he turned to black magic, which seems to be equivalent to necromancy.
From there he met Dark Enchantress Cookie, and became her lackey because he was awed by her magical prowess. Even still he hasn't quite gotten the acknowledgement he desires, and so he writes about his frustrations in his diary while still carrying out her will.
Through Cookie Run Kingdom, he's played the role as the beginning antagonist, trying to thwart the protagonist from reaching the Vanilla Kingdom (which he failed at) while trying to get there himself to find his boss. With that having been completed in a sense, he has since been aiding the true antagonist (Dark Enchantress Cookie) in her endeavors to bring the world into darkness, ever baited by the promise of receiving the power and recognition he (supposedly) deserves. He's joined by other cookies with similarly dark pasts, who also seek power for their own ambitions, and so they bring about chaos and disorder to support their Mistress' schemes.
Personality:
Most people don't like licorice as a candy, and that proves likewise true when it comes to Licorice as a person—or cookie, rather. It is implied that being made from the, and I quote, "blackest licorice extract" guarantees some inherent level of badness to be present, and boy is it ever—at least as far as cookies go. When we first meet Licorice, he is concealing his identity and taking hostages while giving them death threats for information in regard to the Vanilla Kingdom. He seems otherwise delighted and amused while threatening to dissolve other cookies or candy creatures in things like milk or soda water (don't ask) if it suits his needs. He does not hesitate to act nasty towards his enemies—or even his own allies.
While this might paint the picture of some sort of ruthless and tough villain, in truth, he's kind of a weenie. Not so much that he wouldn't necessarily pull off those threats, honestly he probably would if given the chance, but because when he's thwarted or insulted, he does seem to take it pretty damn personally. We get instances of his whining theatrics between himself and his comrades (the ones he seems to like, which aren't cookies), which is utterly self-absorbed and petty. So much so, that despite his friend's complaint about Licorice using his real name, and not his work name, Licorice continues to do so anyway.
Needless to say, Licorice isn't what you'd call considerate. He is entirely about himself, about his own achievements, like this dude would sell someone for a jellybean if it served him in some way. It isn't that he can't grow attached to others, he seems to have done that with Bat-Cat and Schwarzwälder, but his own self obsession overrules any bond he has with them. He's an egotist, but also clearly has a very fragile ego, as most narcissists tend to.
Even the cookies on his side he sees as threats to his climb to power and recognition, and views them as rivals more than allies, even though he's well aware they're on the same team. However, while he might aim to be cruel, or would like people to fear him, that weenieness of his does shine through when others are outpacing him in the mean department. When Pomegranate Cookie starts to dig into Dark Choco Cookie's old wounds, he actually gets anxious and tries to calm matters down...only to be dismissed out of hand.
He's sensitive, and while I wouldn't say he's the best at being empathetic (far from), even he can see when certain lines are crossed. At least by others, for himself, that's a different matter. He will push people, he will be utterly insufferable, and so on, but at the same time he's quick to dismiss people who do try to help him when he isn't asking for it. There's some level of control he seems to hunger for, which would likewise explain why he seems to be less hostile to those who are his subordinates, or why he sought after magic that would give rise to minions for his personal bidding.
In a lot of ways, it's clear that Licorice is lonely and wants for attention, however he seems to be the cause of that loneliness and utterly unaware of it. He is quite talented with magic, and honestly pretty powerful to boot, but it's more likely he didn't gain the positive recognition he wanted because he has such a bitter personality and is utterly unenjoyable. Maybe it's not his fault because he's made of Licorice, but that doesn't mean anyone has to put up with his self-serving, backstabbing, opportunistic, and insufferable ass.
Hell, even when it comes to Dark Enchantress Cookie, the one cookie he values and trusts, he undermines her and acts out of line around her. He's so single-mindedly driven, he often times doesn't seem to take into account...well, most things. He's entitled, feels like he's owed everything he's been denied, and constantly forgets his place. His self obsession likewise manifests as overpowering competitiveness, and he can easily lose focus on the bigger picture because of his need to prove himself. This results in a lot of his failures, but he seems incapable of true self-examination.
In the end, Licorice is pretty much a dude who has talent and a lot of potential, but his own personality is his downfall. Paired with his unwillingness to recognize that in himself is what ultimately denies him the recognition he might otherwise have. Much like the spiral shape his type of candy is known for, he's stuck in an endless cycle of being a self-fulfilling prophecy of failure.

It doesn't seem like this is the intent of the person behind the video, in fact they don't seem to notice at all as they prattle on.]
Dear Diary—
[uh oh]
I honestly don't know why I'm here of all places. I can't imagine that Dark Enchantress Cookie would have sent me here, yet there's no other feasible explanation! Who else has that kind of power? No one!
I know I did everything I was supposed to—sure there might have been a slip up here and there along the way—but I did way better than the others! They can only dream to measure up to me!
[There's a slight jostling of the camera as he clearly shifts a little, maybe he's taken a seat somewhere. Either way, there's some forehead in the shot now, and some tightly twisted hair that looks like dreadlocks, but not enough of it is in view to see for sure.]
It's a little funny, I'm used to having to write in a diary, but this is so much more convenient, even if I'm still not used to this weird gadget. Nothing I can't figure out!
Anyway, where was I?

Oh, right! I don't know how she's done it, but that's probably one of the many marvels of her frightening and formidable powers! But I gotta admit I kind of hate this! I already had my servants, I don't need these horrible...meat animals!
[Another jostle of the camera as an audible THWAP can be heard, followed by the clear chittering of a Noibat. A very agitated Noibat, at that.]
Ow—hey! I'm trying to make a very important and necessary entry for the sake of posterity, here! So cut it out! You're my servant, aren't you? You're supposed to listen to—
[And then the camera goes spinning, tumbling, and when it eventually stops, there's just the view of the sky and some far off squawking of annoyance from none other than the diary's author. It isn't he who gets the 'gear first, however, but instead the clear visage of an annoyed Noibat looms over it with a glare, before picking it up in his mouth and—]
HEY!! GET BACK HERE, OR...OR ELSE, YOU HEAR ME, BAT-CAT!?

Character Name: Rainer Michelle Series: The Adventure Zone: Graduation Timeline: Episode 38, before the epilogue Canon Resource Links:Wiki
Personality: Rainer is, ostensibly, a villain. But to understand how someone so sunshine-y and friendly can possibly be considered a villain (aside from the whole necromancy thing), one has to understand that villains in Nua aren't necessarily hand-wringing, cackling, monologuing evil. They fulfill a societal purpose that keeps Nua's economy running, and they're subject to the same training and regulations as the heroes they fight. So to say that Rainer is a villain is not to say that she's an antagonist-- far from it. She's fundamentally a good person, who cares about her friends and the world she lives in, and wants to do her part to contribute to society in whatever way she can. Pre-canon, that contribution takes the form of studying to be a villain. When Thunderman, LLC comes along, that contribution then shifts to stopping a demon prince, dismantling the bullshit bureaucratic rules that govern their society, and then, eventually, saving the world.
Rainer is what she is because of the influence of her father, Gordy, aka the Undying Lord. Having been abandoned as a child for his necromantic abilities, then adopted by to plane-traveling necromancers and taught that no magic is inherently good or evil, but what matters is how it is used, Gordy saw something of himself in Rainer, and so adopted her and trained her in the necromantic arts, just as his parents did for him. Gordy is a genuinely good person, despite being a fearsome lich king. Rainer's goal in life is to be like her dad, and help the unquiet dead while also being a proactive member of Nua's society. Rainer would have been perfectly happy to work within the system and become a bog standard villain-- even appearing in one future vision as the Lich Queen, commanding vast armies of skeletons just like her father-- but is also just as happy to help her friends shake things up. In the end, what matters the most to Rainer is that people do what's right. It didn't take much convincing from Thunderman, LLC to make Rainer decide that overthrowing the Heroic Oversight Guild was the right thing to do. (When your two options are to upend society or start a war that will kill thousands of people, well... The choice is clear. Down with the man!)
Perhaps Rainer's penchant for dead things and skill in necromancy goes counter to her warm, friendly demeanor, but if Rainer notices this disparity, she pays it no mind. She's either oblivious to or uncaring of her friends' discomfort around her animal skeleton minions. Not in a malicious way, mind you. Just in the way that you know that the brussels sprouts are not going to poison your toddler, no matter how many times they complain to the contrary, so you keep serving them at dinner. She's an animal lover! It's just that she doesn't particularly care whether the animals are alive or dead. Actually, she might even prefer them dead, to be honest. But really, can you blame her? Squirrel skeletons are just so cute! Especially when they do a little tap dancing routine! Her love of skeletons and affinity for all things dead is a family tradition, too. From an outside perspective, Rainer's dad is the fearsome Undying Lord, commander of armies of the dead. In reality, his purpose in Nua is to guide the unquiet dead to their final resting place. If they just happen to be loyal enough to serve as his soldiers, then so be it. Rainer attempts to do the same thing, though since she is still a student, she focuses on animals rather than people.
Rainer is a very social person, making friends easily, and eagerly doing what she can to soothe tensions and make sure everyone is getting along. She's the first to suggest a compromise to make sure all parties are able to succeed and be happy. On the very first day she met the guys who would go on to become Thunderman, LLC, during a hazing ritual where the trio of freshmen were challenged to carve their names into a tree at the edge of the terrifying Unknown Forest, it was Rainer who suggested that the nature-loving Firbolg write his name on the tree with a piece of charcoal instead of carving into the flesh of the tree and harming it, even going so far as to provide a piece of charcoal for him to use from within a compartment of her chair. After listening to Fitzroy complain over and over again about wanting a sweet crêpe for breakfast, Rainer goes out of her way to procure one for him. She also does her best to try to make Fitzroy feel welcome at Wiggenstaff's, even though at first he has his heart set on transferring back to Clyde Knight's Knight Night School. She actively makes an effort to convince Fitzroy that Wiggenstaff's would be a good place for him, not just because she loves her school, but because she wants him to be happy. She's kind, accommodating, and patient, but she's also not above some gentle ribbing at her friend's expense (all in good fun, of course).
Over the course of the arc, Rainer has proven herself to be a reliable and helpful friend, often serving as the liaison between Thunderman, LLC and the rest of the school. Though she develops an especially close relationship with fellow magic user Fitzroy, often trading letters back and forth in their magical notebook, she is loyal and committed to the Firbolg and Argo as well. Though she starts as just one of many NPC upperclassmen introduced in the first episode, Rainer soon becomes one of the only other students besides Thunderman, LLC who we, the audience, really come to know and care about. She is an open, honest person, who doesn't hide the way she feels, and is happy to answer any questions plainly and patiently.
SPOILERS FOR TAZ:GRADUATION FINALE:It's unclear what Rainer's future holds in store, now that the framework of Nua's society has been overthrown, and the world doesn't need heroes and villains like it used to. It's a time of great upheaval for Rainer, with an uncertain future and a lot of questions to be answered, but even more so, it's a time of great celebration. She, her dad, and her teachers fought off the demon hordes and protected the school while Thunderman, LLC took on the gods Chaos and Order to save all of Nua. It was a wild day, one that no one will ever forget. For Rainer, the siege of Wiggenstaff's was the first time she'd really had to prove herself in a real battle that meant something, instead of just being an assignment for school. Being Thunderman, LLC's sole contact within the school while they were away, Rainer stood in the unique position of being able to unite the student body to do what they needed to do to help. Rainer's actions are not shown "on screen," but she was present at the school for the final battle, and, being a powerful and capable wizardess in her own right, it's safe to assume she played her part.END SPOILERS.

Character Name: Yuzu Hiiragi Series: Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V Timeline: End of series, episode 148 Canon Resource Links:Arc-V Wiki + Yuzu Hiiragi Wiki Page
Personality: Yuzu is a kind girl known particularly in the Synchro Dimension as the Entertainment Angel. She is shown to be good with kids, and cares deeply about others, especially in the case of Yuya. She even goes as far as to dedicate an entire duel towards him in order to send a supportive message when he was at a low point and they couldn’t communicate normally. Despite her kind nature, she gets upset easily, and her reactions can usually end up cascading into larger problems.
In addition to her usual kindness, she has a fiery side to her. She is incredibly argumentative and will actively argue with anyone who insults Yuya and/or his father. This is because of her protective nature, especially towards Yuya, someone she very evidently has feelings for. She is caring and supportive of Yuya and his beliefs, and cares very deeply about both his physical and mental well-being, being there for him when he was tormented over the disappearance of his father.
Occasionally, her impulsive side will get the better of her and react before anything else. If she has a paper fan on her, that will usually come out first, but she can improvise if necessary. An example of her impulsive side is going up to Shingo Sawatari in Yuya’s place, by herself, to their hideout, challenging Sawatari to a duel while also battering him with insults the more he tried to look and sound dramatic.
She does get jealous whenever another girl makes advances on Yuya, though she herself will never admit to this because of embarrassment (she blushes heavily at the implication of being Yuya’s girlfriend and will deny it, despite obvious signs of feelings such as staring lovingly into each other's arms after being reunited, albeit only briefly). She’s not above crying when in stressful/hopeless situations, and cried for a short period of time when she was separated from Yuya by literal dimensions, but was still able to stand up and remain strong.
She has a mixed theme of flowers and music, seeing as how all of the monsters in her deck are female singers and are named after musical terms (Aria, Sonata, etc.), and while her Extra Deck monsters follow the same theme, they are dressed in very floral outfits
As an Action Duelist, she is incredibly athletic and acrobatic, as that is somewhat of a requirement in order to become a good Action Duelist since the sport involves movement across a large field. She can even backflip multiple times in succession.
Pokémon Information Affiliation: Trainer Starter: Eevee (Reasoning: In her canon, Yuzu is the Standard Dimension Reincarnation of Ray Akaba. Unlike the other dimensions (Xyz, Synchro, Fusion), which are limited only to their respective special-summoning methods, the Standard Dimension has access to all of the summoning methods, as Standard is the basis for all other methods. Eevee matches Yuzu in this regard, as they are the basis for a wide variety of different Evolution forms. I also believe that Sylveon matches her thematically, just seeing as they have similar color schemes. Password: Atomic Fireball

Character Name: Uraraka Ochako Series: My Hero Academia Timeline: Ch. 246 (during her work study with Tsuyu and Ryukyu over winter break) Canon Resource Links:Here is a wiki for her!!
Personality: If there’s one word that could be used to describe Uraraka Ochako, it would easily be kind. She has a very inviting, friendly air about her and is often seen smiling or laughing with her friends. In fact, it’s stated in canon that Ochako loves to see people around her happy and smiling, and strives to be the sort of person who can lift their spirits enough to be to that point. She cares deeply for people, especially those with whom she has formed a strong bond with - namely the entirety of class 1-A as well as a majority of the U.A. teachers, and of course her immediate family. She would do just about anything if it meant either helping them or making them happy, and she would do it without batting an eye. In this way, Ochako is also a deeply generous, giving individual.
Stemming from that generosity, her main goal for even wanting to become a professional hero is because her mother and father, who own a dying construction company, are going through a financial hardship where they barely make ends meat to support themselves and their quickly growing daughter’s needs. Because her love for her parents is so immense (she would do anything and everything for them), it led her to pursue becoming a hero so that she could get decent, government pay and save up enough money for her parents to live a happy, comfortable life without worrying about their finances. Most of the time, if jobs include pay of some kind, she will usually take them readily, because it means she’ll have funds to put aside for her parents’ benefit. It’s also made her quite good at managing her own finances and balancing her funds as well as bargaining. She’ll usually try to get foodstuffs and items that are on sale, discount, or a day past their expiry date so as to get them at a reduced price so as not to dip too far into her stores of money.
However, after the events of the Overhaul arc, Ochako’s goal as a hero hasn’t necessarily changed, per se, but has evolved more toward the lines of wanting to save people. Big words, which can mean a multitude of different things. Ochako is the very definition of someone who wants to be the light at the end of the tunnel for another person. She wants to be their rainbow after a heavy storm, their oasis in the desert, a warm fire in a snowstorm… In essence, someone’s salvation. And she puts her everything into it, determined and fierce in her pursuits because nothing has ever been about herself - she does so much for others because it’s so important. They are so important.
Even so, Ochako is not simply round, soft, and sweet. She has a fire in her heart that burns white hot, and she can be a fierce warrior when up against a challenging foe. In the fight against Bakugou at the sports festival, she displayed a lot of fierce determination when going up against him. She knew how outclassed she was against her classmate, and yet she went in, guns blazing, without any help from anyone (despite Izuku’s offer of a plan to help her succeed). In the end, she did lose to him, rather spectacularly, but it was also a pivotal point in her growth as well, making people see her as not simply someone that needed to be protected, or coddled, but someone who was giving her all against a person who was leagues above her in terms of raw ability.
And never once did she give in. Not until her legs gave out did she surrender, or lose that ferocity. Ochako is a force to be reckoned with, when she gets serious, and only her inexperience and Bakugou’s battle prowess at that time were what led to her defeat. There was a gap between them that she could not cross, but Ochako took that leap regardless, undaunted and unafraid.
Even so, the loss did hit her a bit hard in terms of her self worth. Because of just how, to put it frankly, obliterated she was during the fight (she didn’t manage to get a single hit in on her classmate), as well as people expecting, hell demanding, Bakugo go easy on her because she was seen as “frail” struck a chord that she hasn’t been able to shake. It’s not easy to accept loss, but it’s harder to accept that people think less of you on sight. She’s never voiced these concerns to anyone, let alone her parents, and she’s got no one to blame but herself. She even retains a shaky, but easy camaraderie with Bakugo despite how he kicked her behind, and she actually respects and admires him for being the only one to take her efforts seriously, and hold nothing back. He didn’t see her as weak, or frail, but an equal worthy of experiencing him at his finest. It’s perhap that very respect and admiration that lets her forgive so easily, and get along with him fairly well in later months.
It’s also, perhaps, how she saw just how wide a gap there was between herself and her ultimate goals and, instead of being shunted by that deep ravine, began building the bridge to cross it. She is either intensely determined or stubborn as a mule, or maybe a mix of both, but if she has a goal, a mission of any sort, she’ll do her damndest to complete it. And while she has no intention of becoming the “best of the best” like others within her canon, she does have a competitive streak that sometimes ignites that fire in her heart once more.
Wrapping up, another note on Ochako’s personality is that she’s very emotionally perceptive of others, after getting to know them for a while. She can easily read a person, especially people like her close friends and classmates, and while not a mindreader in any regard, she can get a sense of how someone’s feeling to try and deescalate a situation or even help when someone is feeling blue. Of course, this perceptiveness backfires on her, because Ochako can also be a bit blunt - to the point of mindlessly being quite rude - so it’s not always a boon and can very much be a curse if she opens her mouth at the wrong time or to the wrong person. But, she does try to maintain a cool, level-headed, warm, and friendly atmosphere toward people, even strangers.
She wants to be a good hero, and that means being many things - dependable, strong, fierce, determined, fearless, giving, but also kind. Above anything else, she wants people to reach back for her hand when she reaches out to them, regardless of who they may be (friends, family, allies, and even other heroes), and feel at peace...because she’s there to save them.
